Hôtel Coeur De Loire was an exceptional place to stay. The pictures on the booking.com website don't do the property justice as the overall atmosphere, room facilities, cleanliness and location were much better than I expected. I stayed in a second room floor which was was compact but everything that a traveller needs had been thought about (suitcase rack, in bathroom hairdryer, bedside tables, plenty of sockets, a fridge and lamps). The owners were very welcoming as well with pre-arrival communications excellent. The hotel is located to the north of the city centre with regular bus services. The services are so frequent that you only have to wait a few minutes and a bus will turn up. The bus takes about 5 minutes to get to the centre of town.

The room I had was compact. This wasn't a problem for me as I was a solo traveller but for a couple it might be small. However there are different sizes of rooms available. If you like a completely quiet location then it's best to choose a room at the back of the hotel. I had a room at the front and with the window open at night, you could hear traffic. however, this didn't last very late into the night and didn't stop me from going to sleep.

The hotel room was no different from a 5-star hotel. It was spotless and everything was new. It had everything one might need. I can say the bed was the best I have ever slept on. The shower had excellent water pressure. Additionally, there was a very sweet and peaceful garden. When I come to Nantes again, I will definitely stay here. Although it seems far from the center, you can reach it in 15 minutes by walking straight from the center. It's in a very safe area. I highly recommend it.

Simple arrival procedure emailed to us ahead of arrival as reception would not be open made for easy entrance after a long journey. Our room was spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. The bed was excellent, perhaps the best we've had at any hotel! Friendly host and a generous breakfast in pretty garden room all added to our enjoyment.

Parking was limited in the area - metered bays (not expensive) were mostly full late on Sunday evening. Following morning there were ample spaces - not a big deal, just worth knowing.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel — the staff was very friendly and polite, the garden was lovely, and the interior was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable, and although the hotel is not located in the city center, it is well connected, with a bus line providing easy access to downtown.

The hotel did not have air conditioning, and the room was rather small, which made it quite warm to sleep during the summer weather.

I enjoyed very much the cosiness of the room, the welcoming as well as the breakfast offered with a view in the back garden. I highly recommend it if you are going through Nantes.

It's not so much that I didn't like it as that is an element to improve. If someone is taking a shower at night and uses the hairdryer I can very clearly hear the noise all the way to my room. It could be surprising if someone is sleeping or dozing off.

It's a little outside of the centre, but the better for it (not least because parking is so expensive), and easy to walk into town (20 mins) or catch and bus/tram from. Lovely owner who gave us loads of great information (there is a sheet with local and central restaurants). Great room with a garden view, very clean and with good furnishings and bathroom. There is a safe, a fridge and a kettle. Would go again without a doubt. They obviously put a lot of love and care into the place.

The breakfast was great, the owner was very friendly. I liked that it was a fairly small hotel, so it felt more personal.

The first two nights I stayed in a room facing a busy street. I couldn’t open the window, and it got very warm. The next day I moved to a room that faced the garden, and that was really pretty, and nice.

Location half way between the city center and Universities. Friendliness and availability of the staff at the hotel. Cleanliness and renovated rooms.

Breakfast fine, variety of cold meet cheese, yoghurt etc but not mind-blowing for price. I think maybe the quality of the ham and cheese felt a bit cheap, but maybe I just want everything to cost super cheap.

I loved our stay at Coeur de Loire. The staff were all so nice and welcoming, they advised us on how to get to the train station by public transport, and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the city centre for nice restaurants and very close to a gorgeous bakery! The room was so clean and it had the perfect amount of storage. I can't recommend it more, it definitely deserves to be at least 3 stars.
