Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Happy to suggest places to visit and provided a map. Room was very comfortable, although the heat made it harder to sleep. Hotel provided a fan which was much appreciated. Breakfast was excellent and included a good selection of local produce. Nice little lounge for a quiet and slightly cooler seat. Great location. Quiet, but easy access to a super variety of shops and restaurants as well as a 5 minute walk to the tramline. Really enjoyed our two short stays in this quirky but stylish little hotel. One of our favourites, without a doubt.

We suffered a bit from the lack of air conditioning as it was so hot during our stay. Would that stop us going again? Definitely not. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Voltaire Opera in Nantes.

The hotel is well situated and well maintained. The room wasn't big but comfortable. The bed and pillows were okay. The staff was excellent they offered us a present on the way out to try compensate themself which is regarding

We spent 3 nights and both of them there was an awful smell from the sink in the bathroom. We had to sleep on open window during the night. We didn't inform the staff cuz it was written on the door that the hotel is fully booked. On the next day they offered us to change rooms but we had to pack and unpack everything for couple of hours so we skipped it.

Really lovely hotel. Comfortable and clean, with very nice decor. Hotel staff were exceptional: friendly and helpful at all times. The location is ideal. Excellent breakfast, as well. We would absolutely stay here again.

We just happened to stay on a humid night, so it was a little hot in the room, though the hotel proactively reached out in advance to remind customers we'd booked a hotel without air conditioning. The addition of an electric fan was appreciated. Once it cooled a bit outside we opened windows. Between that and the fan we managed to sleep comfortably.

Lovely little hotel very centrally located. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Very obliging and friendly staff. Room and ensuite were spotless clean and fresh towels every day. Perfect for a short break, three or four days. Would recommend this accommodation and Nantes itself.

There was no air con, but in all honesty that was an oversight on our behalf. We were supplied with a fan and after dark when temperatures dropped we opened the large window. Short on wardrobe space if planning for a longer stay but for the three nights we were there we managed.

Perfect location, lots of fantastic restaurants around. The staff are exceptional, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has a stylish quirky decor. The pillows and linens are very good quality, the bed is an absolute dream, I wish I could have brought it home with me! The breakfast was plentiful, delicious and with locally sourced produce. We loved our stay there.

The rooms, though clean and stylish are so poorly designed. There are no drawers at all, so your 'stuff' is scattered around the room, or stored in your bag. There are two tiny bedside shelves and another shelf above the wardrobe hanging space, too high for me to reach. The lighting is poor, you constantly need to switch on your torch, especially for the safe, which is positioned on the floor.

Location was superb, staff were extremely friendly and gave great advice. We were right in the heart of the old city but it was so lovely and quiet with a beautiful park beside the hotel to sit and watch the time go by. Very close to restaurants, museums, shopping - everything you would want or need. Would recommend to friends - definitely!!!! Thanks to all for making our stay so lovely

Room was a bit small but Nantes is so lovely we hardly spent any time in the room except to sleep. No other negatives!

Very well located, good bedding and shower. Great THANK YOU to the wonderful staff, especially Claire and Aymerik (I am so sorry calling you Andrew for my whole stay!), you were so nice, welcoming and helpful making my stay much more memorable.

It is not a dislike, but some things to mention about the property, which will not deter me for staying here again. Soundproofing, which is normal for an old European building. Suites facing the street are noisy, if you are a light sleeper avoid them. Choose the suites with windows to the inner court (no view, but much quieter) Very small elevator (2 people, 2 suitcases capacity), I chose a suite on the first floor for that reason.

This is a charming hotel in the center of Nantes. The rooms are small, as in most hotels in France, but it was comfortable. Staff is kind and helpful. The street is not so noisy plus the sound insulation of windows is good.

The elevator was next to our room which you could hear. It wasn't loud, but if you are more sensitive, this can be disturbing. There was no air condition, which was NOT a problem for us in end of August. But if it is very hot outside, it would be nice to have one.

The hotel was great. I arrived by train and easily found the nearest tram stop. The trams in Nantes are really good; free at the weekend and the hotel is a short walk from the nearest stop. The staff were really friendly and helpful and they spoke perfect English. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around the city and is close to all the attractions.

The room was comfortable, the bed,the bathroom and the tv were all well functioning. Being able to open the French windows was lovely. The location was great for walking the city and assessing the tram.

The steps up to the foyer area, the dark decor were imposing. The tiny lift and narrow corridor to my room were a bit off putting on arrival.
