Very central location. Transport was a short walk across to square.

Air conditioning remote was not available. However, I turned on the air con manually and it worked, just could not adjust temp. Note, it would appear most rooms failed to have remotes. TV did not work until I plugged in antenna and adjusted the input. Needs some attention to maintenance including the air condenser which was blocked with dirt and would fail to work correctly. But again just a maintenance issue and easily fixed.

This is quite literary the best location in town, on the main square, between the main shopping street to the north, the old town to the east and the beach to the south. Despite the busy spot and the building being old, the soundproofing was phenomenal. Close the door and you don't hear anything from the bustle and tram rattle literary outside your window. We had the (only) room with the balcony from the pictures and it was lovely. Having breakfast on the terrace would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't for the cold weather, but it is a great feature!

There was a strong smell of sewer coming from the bathroom. However, it completely disappeared after the first day so not sure what was causing it. We did have to close the bathroom door firmly on the first night however, to clear the air in the room and go to bed. WiFi works but is slow. There was wear and tear throughout the room, and the bed headboard had quite a few old stains. The room was clean, though.

Very friendly and helpful staff, a good-sized room, air conditioning, excellent location on the edge of the Old Town and very close to the famous Flower Markets, the promenade and the beach. Easily reached along the coast road from the airport and close to very good public transport. We didn't have breakfast there as there were so many cafes nearby, but they did let us use their kitchen to make a cup of tea in the morning, much appreciated.

The bathroom was a bit cosy but everything worked, and we had everything we needed.

In close proximity to everything I needed, restaurants, shopping, and the bus station to take me to the museums. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Two flights of stairs to get to the hotel however, once they saw me coming up, they came down and grabbed my luggage. I had a beautiful view from my room, so I guess I didn’t mind being up to flights. In the morning, I opened up my windows with my cup of coffee. I could see the plaza and enjoy the view. The location was absolutely perfect! I was able to walk right outside and there was the Apollo fountain, and one block away was the Mediterranean Sea. Old town was less than 5 minutes away, and Castle Hill not much further. There were plenty of delicious restaurants in the area, and it was a just a perfect central place for everything I wanted to do. Not only that but the nice gentleman at the front desk allowed me to leave my baggage there in the morning until my room was ready/check-in so I was able to go out and explore the city immediately *very important detail, especially if you're traveling to many places!*

To be honest there wasn't really anything I didn't like about it. The shower leaked onto the floor a bit but nothing an extra towel thrown down couldn't handle.

Rooms are smaller, but everything is balanced by the location of the hotel. Nice staff, everything was fine. We would love to come back sometime. Access to the building via code, same to the floor where the hotel rooms are. Nice atmosphere of an old house.

Excellent location for travel, restaurants, bars, beach; host was friendly (and very polite about our lack of French); air-conditioning was absolutely essential (and worked well...which isn't always the case); room was very comfortable and a nice place to be. This is up at the top of 2-stars.

Nothing really - it's 2-star; what do you want? :) Some trims could do with a bit of and upgrade / refurb and just remember to take your own shower gels.

The location is the best thing about the hotel: it is as central as possible . The Massena square is nearby, the sea with a beach us nearby. The staff is also helpful and nice. A nice bathroom

The view from the windows: the inner court rhat was not clean and the opposite windows were too near Lack of a kettle in the room Internet was not fast and the connection was interrupted several times.

The location is perfect - at the heart of the old town of Nice. Everything is within walking distance - the sea, the market, awesome big kids' playground, and many restaurants and street food offerings. Transport from and to is also very convenient. The room was tidied up every single day which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Yes, this hotel failed to notify its customers that it has a code entry that looks like a private apartment. We arrived after 10 pm and could not get in. We were lucky someone was entering the apartment complex. There was no information that this hotel is located in the 2nd floor with no elevator. I was traveling with my elderly mom and it was hard for her to carry the luggage when we were arriving. This info would be helpful to have in advance.
