The hotel is in a great location. Everything is easily accessible from there, the old town, shops, numerous restaurants, the promenade. Best time to visit when its still warm and sunny but cooler in the evenings also the Christmas village is here in December. Great also for excursions to Monaco, Eze, Monte Carlo, Cannes and Antibes. The breakfast at the hotel was great, serving from 7am until 11am and lots of variety hot and cold. The staff were also very courteous and helpful and the hotel looked lovely festively decorated.

We found the large double bed to be two single beds put together, which is probably the norm for the room if twin beds are required, however we found them to be a little hard and dipping to the side. Also the pillows were too hard. The ensuite could do with redecorating and the basin also had a large crack in it. We would book a different room if we went again.

The location is basically right at the center square so it doesn’t get any more central than this. There’s a super market 2mins away Monoprix, a very long street like 5th avenue - for shopping and restaurants 2mins away as well. The staff are all very nice and very friendly. Get the breakfast - it’s excellent! Rooms have fridge / coffee etc… felt very safe with location and staff guidance as a solo traveller. Few other tips - you only need 3 days here if you’re strapped for time. I did the guided tours one going to Monaco, Eze, Monte Carlo and another day to Cannes, Antibes, and Saint Paul De Venice. Spend a morning strolling on the English promenade - it’s a nice walk by the sea. And did the best view climb the castle hill and it’s 5-8mins from the hotel. If you climb the castle hill - there’s a flee market inside one of the streets - get all your ceramics, souvenirs, cheese etc… here. Good price compared to all the shopping I’ve done throughout all the small villages and Nice with my 3 day stay.

The room is comfortable and made for good sleeping: quiet, dark, with good AC, which was important given the warm temperatures and high humidity in late July. The King Deluxe Room is spacious and well appointed with a king bed, bureau, desk, mini-fridge, table and chairs. Lots of storage for our clothes. More spacious than we expected; didn't feel crowded at all. Staff was friendly and helpful; they easily extended our stay without any trouble and we got to stay in the same room, which was super convenient. Can't beat the location within easy walking distance of the Promenade, Rue Massina, Place Massina, luxury shopping, good restaurants, and the Old Town. Located in a nice, safe neighborhood that was very easy to navigate as a foreign tourist. Most people spoke English so don't worry if you're French is not great, but do try to speak French if you can. The locals will appreciate it and it shows you respect their culture and language. You just might get some free extras: we got some free drinks at some bars and restaurants because we tried our best to speak what French we knew. Always greet staff with "Bonjour" or "Bonsoir," ask them for things with "S'il vous plâit," thank them with "Merci," and say goodbye with "Au revoir." It's just good manners and you'll get better service!

The shower was difficult and confusing to operate. Could have been stocked with more than one roll of toilet paper; we had to ask the front desk for more after one night. Toilet area is very small. Wifi was spotty, which made working remotely somewhat difficult.

This wasn't my first visit to Nice, but it was my first stay at the Best Western Plus Hôtel Masséna Nice, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The experience with the hotel, its management, and the team was outstanding. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were not only friendly and approachable but also extremely supportive and fully dedicated to making my stay comfortable. The team was very helpful, especially when it came to advice about exploring the city. They provided excellent guidance, so don't hesitate to ask for recommendations. I loved my room and the service, especially the eco-friendly features, which were impressive. My stay was peaceful, particularly at night, with no noise from the streets, allowing for a restful sleep. The location is top-notch—right in the heart of town, within walking distance of Old Nice, the beach, main landmarks, and more. You’re truly in the center of it all.

Bigger room

We loved the staff, who were, without exception, friendly, professional and keen to help. Personal thanks to Rosalie who made breakfast every morning a real pleasure. We felt welcomed and saw how a professional approach and small kindnesses can make such a difference. Can't wait to come back here. Will definitely recommend to friends.

I really can't fault any of the services. Would i change anything? Perhaps only the lack of a bar for evening drinks. Well done to the hotel's manager Julian (who greeted us personally at the start of our stay!) for running a chic, efficient hotel. You and your staff have made the 4 star experience a lovely one!

The location is excellent, a short walk to main shopping area, the old town Promenade des Anglais and main attractions. Also , the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The extra large bed was very comfortable.

There was one waitress on one morning who practically rushed us out the door when finishing breakfast at 11.10. She took everything off the table that we weren’t using. Luckily we only met her on one morning out of four. All the other staff at breakfast were very pleasant.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Old Nice, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. We stayed in room 525, which was away from the street and generally quiet, though we occasionally heard footsteps from the room above late at night. Additionally, I highly recommend visiting Villefranche, a nearby town with a beautiful sandy beach. If you visit the beach in Nice, make sure to take beach shoes for the stones.

We had breakfast at the hotel, but at EUR 20 per person, we were disappointed by the fully self-service setup, including the drinks. It would have been nice to have some freshly baked pastries available. As a side note, we visited a nearby place called 'La Femme Du Boulangerie' for breakfast, and it was absolutely delightful – the hotel could take some inspiration from them.

Our room was very comfortable and in a very quiet part of the hotel as we requested. The french window opened to rooftops – wonderful to get the fresh air. The room was huge and we had two wardrobes, so lots of space to store for our stay. The hotel location is excellent. Very easy to navigate and find your way around. It feels like a very safe place and we soon found our favourite bars. The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful. So helpful.

The bar facilities would ideally be extended, but as there are so many great bars in the area, this was not a problem at all.

I had a great stay overall! The location is superb—very convenient and close to everything, which made getting around super easy. The staff were also really friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which added a nice personal touch.

The room had a bidet that was placed separately from the toilet, which felt a bit uncomfortable, especially when sharing the room with someone else. Also, parking isn’t free—it costs €35 per night, which I found a bit on the expensive side.

Great location, staff very friendly. When I first arrived, the woman I think Francousca was here name was very helpful and friendly, showed me how to get the tram, train and places to visit, and a very welcoming person and nothing was a hassle to her

The only thing I didn't like and it's not a moan as you adapt to it,is the toilet is in a different room to the shower and sink, means you do the toilet then touch door handles etc to wash your hands. But that wasn't a problem just something myself personally didn't like
