Great location (near underground station Durandy and Place de Massena). Breakfast is excellent, love their freshly squizzed orange juice!

Brilliant location near old town, beach and not too far from the railway station. Staff always had a smile even when I checked out at 4am. Room was comfortable and had a good shower.

We had a short family 4-night stay in the Vendome hotel. The location was perfect for an active holiday in Nice and nearby places. We had a duplex room, with 2 bathrooms, which was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable, and there was also a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. :-) The room is equipped with a small fridge, too. Another great thing is that the reception was open 24/7 and all the staff were amazing and extremely helpful, especially Oumar. At the ground floor, near the reception, there is a water fountain, where you can also take fresh water from, and bring to your room. The hotel serves breakfast for the price of 15eur for adults and 7eur for children, but we did not book it. There are numerous restaurants around the hotel, as well as small supermarkets. The main square and the shopping street are literally 3-4 minutes' walk from the hotel. The train station is also around 10-15min walk.

The hotel is very old so the smell of mold was quite strong coming from the pipes in the closet. It could be solved by frequent opening of the windows and letting the fresh air in. I would also suggest adding some more lamps or lightbulbs especially on the top part of the room, which was a little bit too dark.

• The location was excellent: 10–15 minutes on foot to the main attractions I wanted to visit, a few minutes from the metro with direct connection to the airport, and around 15–20 minutes from Nice-Ville train station. • The building is historic and charming, with modern decor and a beautiful staircase. • Check-in was quick and smooth. • Although the room was small, it was perfect for a weekend stay and very clean. • The bathroom was modern and comfortable, with a nice shower-bathtub combo. • The reception staff was kind and helpful, giving us good suggestions for breakfast and dinner spots, and regularly checking in to see if everything was okay. • Common areas were cozy and stylish, and the daily aperitif between 5 and 7 PM was a nice touch with great prices.

• When I arrived in the room, there were no towels. However, the staff brought them up within a few minutes. • The soundproofing inside the building was poor—I could hear other guests, which might be an issue for light sleepers. • I didn’t enjoy the breakfast (15€ per person): I’m not a fan of having to boil my own eggs or squeeze fresh orange juice in the morning.

Pros: Friendly front desk staff My room on the 5th floor had a balcony with table and chairs. It was fabulous to relax at night overlooking the roof tops and the twinkling lights in the distance. I had a single room and the bed was wider than a standard twin bed but smaller than a double bed. It was absolutely perfect for one person. There are several restaurants immediately outside the front door of the hotel. The Vietnamese restaurant was very good. The elevator works well. Bathroom had a magnifying mirror. Excellent hot water in the shower. One of the best bakeries in Nice is one and a half blocks away - Boulangerie Nicoise with excellent quiches My room had a mini fridge and hot water kettle. Double glazed windows were great at blocking out city noise

The room showed signs of wear and tear. Walls did not have great soundproofing and could hear people in the neighboring rooms. The bathroom faucet was the wrong size for the sink and it was impossible to wash my face and hands without getting water all over the counter. There are 7-8 stairs to enter the hotel which really isn't great for anyone traveling with heavy luggage.

Excellent location, close to main attractions. Everything is spotless. The building is stunning, and the lounge is extremely cosy and useful if you want to hang around in the evening after a long day walking. Pretty decent breakfast, for a tiny price, it covered all the tastes.

The room was a little small, but this is normal in Nice, and it didn`t bother us. There was also a weird smell in the room at the beginning, probably due to the age of the building, but it got out after a whole day with the windows open. Everything else was really flawless.

It was the perfect stay!! The staff was fantastic and very much willing to help us on any of our requests, including checking everyday for a postal envelope we were expecting... The room was nice and cozy, and facilities were clean. The entire hotel has this charming classical architecture, giving a warm and back-in-time vibe. Location is outstanding! 3 min walk from Jean Medecin, 7-8 min walk from Cours Saleya and the beach. Always coming back :)

It is hard to complain. Maybe the elevator was a little bit tight to fit more than 2 people, but still very nice. The hotel does not have bathrooms in common-areas, but the staff is willing to help you with that by allowing you to use any available room's toilet. Such great people they are!

It was clean, good area and the staff were friendly. Also very much enjoyed the access to coffee in the mornings

Just our bathroom door handle was coming off and our shower was very small. The bathroom would start flooding when we showered.
