Nice hotel, within walking distance from city center and promenade. On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable (we have asked for twin beds and that’s exactly what we got. Very rarely the hotels accommodate that request). The room was extremely quiet and facing the inner backyard, allowing a quiet and peaceful sleep. Nice decoration.

The shower water pressure was not enough for a decent hair wash (for a lady with long hair, at least).

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Breakfast was great and had lots of options. Location is good with the old town and the beach within easy walking distance. We were given a voucher for a welcome drink at the bar, which was a nice and unexpected gesture. Free tea and coffee is available all day and there is a water station to refill water bottles etc with chilled / sparkling water. Umbrella's available to borrow and also linen blankets for the beach. The beds were comfortable and I didn't notice much noise from the street. Aircon worked well.

The decor in the bedrooms was pleasant but the rooms were tired. Although the rooms seemed clean, the skirtings etc were grubby and the bathroom's need modernising (stained, grubby grouting, chipped bath etc). Could do with a refresh.

I traveled with my sister who was in nice for the first time..I have stayed previously in hotel le grimaldi and loved it..its a 15 min walk to the beach and a 10 min walk to the train station..there is an intermarche 2 mins away..the staff are lovely ..its in a beautiful and safe neighborhood and the BREAKFAST is AMAZING!the receptionist even spoke to my tour operator in French to help me..5 stars!free tea coffee and water and snacks all day in reception .Beds super comfy..can't wait to be back!

Room walls a little thin..neighbours were very noisy.(not hotels fault tho)

It is a really fabulous hotel, situated in a grand heritage building, and you feel it in the room design as well, it feels like something out of a classic movie. THe family room was huge, and well organised, it was the first time ever that we had a room that was pre-prepared for 4 (with the sofa bed having 2 separate blankets for the kids), the room was very clean, and had all the needed amenities. The breakfast was great and very tasty. The stuff was lovely, attentive, nice, great English, and very helpful. The location is great -walking distance from everywhere we needed

Generally all-around lovely hotel. Comfortable bed nice size superior room. Our room looked out to the church opposite. Quiet location, but 5 mins from main shopping area and about 10 mins to the sncf main station. 10 mins to beach. 2 mins to tram station. Local shops and restaurants less than 1 min from front door. Access to still and carbonated water to take in bottles to your room and hot drinks available in lounge area to help yourself. Also drinks facilities in your room and small fridge. Liked the old style lift too.

If you like English breakfast, some of the items were only available on certain days, but continental pastries, baguette, bread, or toast always seemed to be there. Plus, there is a variety of cereals and juice, so only a small negative. English breakfast tea ran out a few days in and then unavailable, but many other choices there to choose from anyway, so it's not really a problem. The decor has been described by some as needing updating, but think of more as shabby chic and just enjoy yourself. Would stay again.

The double bedroom was big enough. Nice view from the bedroom. The bed very comfortable. We like the mini fridge and cupboards for cloth.

When booking the Hotel.. No option was provided to make payment to the hotel only on arrival. Reception lady very rude and did not allow us to put laguage in the room and demand payment immediately. My only problem was the language. Receptionist could not speak or understand us at all. If you are receiving international tourists please put somebody at the front desk at least that can speak and understand English .

The location and the people staffing it. If it were not for these 2 reasons we would look elsewhere. The team managed by Anais with Arya, Ellen and Esmeralda with their cheerful personalities and a ‘ can do’ attitude made one feel comfortable and secure. This is our 4th stay at this Hotel. Thank you people 💐

The furnishings- very old, uncomfortable and more pension like rather than 3/4 star hotel. We have couple of years ago requested the Mgmt to PLEASE renovate. As a loyal customer, we request you again for great improvement in the furnishings. Thank you.

The Hotel in Nice is very close to the harbor and everything is reachable by foot. For parking, its a bit tricky to find a free spot when arriving around noon - evening. But in the very early morning, plenty free spots can be found very close to the Hotel. To check-in and check-out everything and all people are very nice and without any problems. I can only recommend the apartment. Its very clean, comfortable and warm. We used the room in the winter season and it was always very comfortable. In the morning the breakfast is not small, but also not big. But there is everything for everybody's taste.

Lovely room overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast choices, both hot and cold were good. Staff were reserved but welcoming. Location of hotel is excellent. Complimentary water, teas and coffee is a really welcome feature.

Breakfast dishes could be replenished during service, especially the hot dishes. Fruit salad could be more imaginative, less apples! Not really an issue within the hotels control but occupants of corresponding room above mine were early risers and obviously wore heavily heeled shoes!

The hotel is just great for your stay in Nice. Located between the train station, the promenade and the old city in a beautiful old building, the hotel offers the perfect correlation between price and quality. The room was big enough and so was the bathroom. The place was clean, so wеre the sheets and the towels. The bed was super comfy and big (180/200) and the staff satisfied our request for two separate top covers. They also had left a sweet welcoming surprise on the bed with a greeting card. I really love this personal attitude!

I liked everything. Before the booking I read a lot of comments about the noise but I really didn`t hear so much noise at all. We slept well every night so I can`t say that this was an issue.
