Had a really good one night stay, thank you. My request for a lower floor room was accommodated, reception staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Room was small, cosy and warm, just me so it was ideal. Bedroom and bathroom was spotlessly clean. A real window that opened was great to have, this opened onto the street but not especially busy or noisy given I was first floor. Lady who serviced the room was lovely and cheery as was breakfast lady. Location was brilliant, short 6 minutes walk from Rue du Bac Metro and an 8 minute walk from Mussee d’ Orsay ( purpose of my stay). All in all, I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel was in a quiet street that was very close to Musee D’Orsay and the Louvre. It took only about half an hour to walk up to see Notre Dame. The staff were all helpful and considerate, providing useful tips for my stay in Paris including where to find good coffee and supermarkets. My room was a reasonable size and had air conditioning and a fridge, which were both appreciated on a hot summer’s day.

Lovely quiet location with a multitude of mid-priced restaurants in the area. Incredibly pleasant and helpful staff who were very gracious to us upon check-in and during our stay. Room was very charming and had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were incredibly comfortable, which we needed after loooong days of sight-seeing. Central location for easy access to all the main attractions without the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. Very pleased with the air-conditioning. Highly recommend.

There really wasn't anything we needed that it didn't have. We would be more than happy to stay there again.

Lovely little hotel, great value. This hotel is located very close to the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. It's an extremely picturesque quarter of the Left Bank, near many antiquaires, shops, and restaurants.

The elevator is tiny, which is to be expected, but be aware. The breakfast is quite simple. But really - no complaints about this hotel. It is not super close to the RER Saint Michel stop, which can be taken to the airport - you need to walk about 20 minutes to get to the RER.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel de L'Universite. Location was great, easy to walk to places and restaurants walkable in all directions. Also many metro/train lines within walking distance. We used them to go to Vesailles, Monte Marte, Eiffel Tower, etc.. walked to Notre Dame, Louvre, along the river, etc.. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and slightly bigger than expect in Europe. Highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel, delicious and fresh bakery items, eggs made to order, great coffee - excellent!

The location is definitely the highlight of this hotel. The room was clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I stayed in a single room and it was quite cramped. As it is an older building I noticed that the window didn’t block out much noise from outside, so I needed to wear ear plugs every night.

The hotel exceeded my expectations! Before that, I stayed there many years ago in a small single room overlooking the courtyard, at the atelier of a "fashion house". I really wanted to come back. This time the room had a veranda. Very clean and modern. The veranda had a view of the Eiffel Tower. It is quiet in the very "heart" of Paris. The staff is wonderful! They responded very quickly and carefully to small requests. Special thanks to Nicolet, who hosted us!

The location was perfect for the outings we planned. There were lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. Metro station, St. Germaine, was very close to hotel. Every employee we encountered was very friendly and front desk was patient with our French and very eager and helpful to answer our questions! The beds were comfortable and our room was spacious, 2 twins. Breakfast was served every morning, not complimentary. Hotel was decorated nicely for Christmas and gave off an old charm feel. Would definitely stay there again when we return!

While not a glamorous or stylish hotel, I can strongly recommend it. First of all, the location could hardly be better. Secondly, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Sure- the rooms are smallish, but my window opened onto a view of a classic St. Germain street! Outstanding value: I will happily return!

The refrigerator (great) radiated heat into the safe, which made me fear for my electronics.
