I really liked the rooftop area and the Happy House although it was not explained to me what it was or how to get there until towards the end of my stay. It was cool that the hostel had different events and overall the facilities were kept very clean. Anything broken was fixed immediately. The showers had good heat and water pressure. The blinds on the beds are amazing as well as the reading light and storage space for your luggage with the option to add a lock. It is close to many metro stations and an easy 20 minute walk/metro to just about everything! I would stay here again for sure.

There was nothing on the menu for people with food allergies. For example, nothing is friendly for gluten free people. I tried eating the breakfast once, but I got sick. I recommend Cafe Sans Nom which is a short walk away if you are a celiac needing a quick bite to eat. The staff were okay overall, but one staff member was extremely rude to me and yelled at me incessantly only in French, which I do understand, but I can imagine it would be worse if you didn't speak French. Overall, you feel less like a guest and more like someone interrupting a restaurant/coworking space? It feels like the hostel doesn't know what it is brand-wise. The messages from Jo&Joe everywhere were quite strange.

The dorm was great and I liked there was a change room curtain as well. Staff were really nice and made me feel welcomed.

I didn’t feel particularly safe in the Nation area. There wasnt anywhere to put your things inside the actual shower and the water leaks into the changing area of the shower.

Quite convenient location (metro, bikesharing), good design, big and comfortable beds, good breakfast, possibility to chill at the rooftop and heat food downstairs.

Staff requested my credit card (complete) details, which was weird since everything was prepaid, but the thing they requested it for didn't worked in the end, so just 10min wasted. There was a sharp end of a nail around 0,5cm sticking from the "ceiling" of my bed capsule - very dangerous. there was also a nasty layer of dust on the wall inside my capsule indicating that it wasn't completely cleaned. Not as good soundproofing as advertised - I was staying at 1st floor and when there was a party on the ground floor, I could hear everything. No slippers, no towel, no padlock is provided - not a deal breaker, but still, at least one of those is usually available and included at the hostels of such category.

The location is perfect. You can take the metro station which is in the same street and go to Nation station, from there you can go anywhere. The facilities and the other stuff are good value for the money. The staff is 10/10. The only bad thing is the roommates could be weird because they accept everyone. They may not follow the rules and drink alcohol in the room or doing weird stuff. I had a girl roommate which was doing things couldn’t be mentioned so I asked to change the room, the staff accepted without additional cost which was nice from them. Anything else was perfect.

The hotel has 24/7 reception. I really appreciated the effort to make the space as sustainable as possible (soap bottles were eco friendly, bring your own towels, light savings and all…). The bed was actually quite good. I was afraid that staying in a dorm would have meant I’d have slept badly, but the mattress was decent and the privacy blind was really useful. Tip: bring a padlock for the storage so you can leave your luggage in complete safety even when travelling by yourself.

Sometimes the shared toilets were dirty, but I assume that’s just people being too uncivilised to flush…. 🙄 The showers were quite clean all throughout the day though.

Very clean hustle, good location, 1 minute to Metro station and from that station you can reach out to the Eiffel tower or other tourist attractions within 30 minutes. Good and cheep breakfast, you can have it with just 8 €

The bad thing is that its rooms are so dark, even though you turn on the lights still you need to use your phone light to do your stuff at night. Some receptionists are so helpful but i found some a little ignorant. But in total it was a really good and comfortable hustle, i will come back here again and i will recommend it to others also.

Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The hostel is well connected, the metro line 9 is just around the corner, 5 min walk for line 1,2,6 and RER A. Room and showers were clean, I really appreciated the privacy blinds and the plenty of space around the beds. Same for the nice common area with microwave and a fridge where you can store your food and eat.

The neighbourhood doesn't offer much. The price during the week can increase, sometimes too much for a bunk bed in a dorm of 6 or 8. But I presume this is Paris. The nice common area has a kettle as well but is not provided with cups or glasses.

Very clean, air conditioning in summer was great, had security on door at night so felt safe. Rooftop was awesome. Would stay here again.

Paid for an all female dorm but one night a man was allowed to stay there without any notice or indication from staff .. he was nice enough but it goes against the reasoning for booking an all female space

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were ok, pretty basic but the top bunks did have high sides for privacy. This also made them a bit harder to climb into. Big locker drawers in room, fit a cabin suitcase and a backpack (bring your own padlock). Bathrooms clean and nice. The breakfast was really good, continental style. Communal areas pretty nice, I worked from there in the daytime and also watched a football game on a Fri evening - was full of people (Euros - France game!). Roof terrace looked cool but didn't get to go out as it was raining.

Beds could have been a bit comfier. Asked a member of staff if I could switch to a lower bunk for my second night and was told no as all were booked - yet there were only 3 of us in an 8 person dorm that night.

So many good points, i don't expect too much from Hostels but these guys run a good venue that's value for money. 1. Good decent breakfast - very smartly done 2. Comfortable beds and relatively spacious (with charging points in each bunk) 3. Clean bathroom with clean facilities for shower, etc $. value for money is great as its close to some good metro stations and better than many other comparable options 6. Love the look of the place and internal design 7. Hostel events and rooftop is pretty cool (depends on personal preference though) 8. friendly staff

I'm not 21 anymore but i'm not very old either and the hostel events seems to mainly cater to 18-21 demo. Pretty cool if you're young and out of town tourist - i can imagine you'd really love this, but for me i'm a little over it and if sleeping on the first floor there's some minor sound from the events on the ground floor. ground floor gets very busy. Don't love the surrounding streets, if you're someone who gets put off by that - FYI, you can also expect on gig nights people out on the street drinking and smoking which may bother some visitors - but i would stress i still consider the area to be perfectly safe.
