The hotel which is in the walking distance to old town is recently refurbished. Modern interior and comfortable bed. The huge bathroom is also new with good light; the only thing is that the shower needs a glass wall to keep the rest of the floor dry. We stayed with our dogs and had a room on the ground floor with access to garden, which we really appreciated. The staff was very friendly. The hotel has a very good restaurant. We had dinner and a hearty breakfast there.

At first we thought that it would be a bit hard to get to the hotel by tram/foot because it's not in the city center, but it's very easy in fact. It was actually a great walk from the hotel towards Barrage Vauban and city center. We appreciated the fact that being a bit further away it was quiet at night, the breakfast was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's a good value for money place and although we didn't need it, if you are coming here by car, the hotel has a large private parking place. Keep up the good work guys! Thank you!

The beds were not that great in the sense of they are twin beds put one next to each other, but without a large double mattress, they have individual ones for each bed. So during your sleep you can easily split the beds with your weight or leg as they are not tied together. For us, as a couple, that was the only disadvantage that we could find in the room/hotel.

Exactly what we hoped for. We arrived early to check in and were given storage for our bags. The room was small but comfortable. It was clean if a little tired in places. There are no great views but it was located well for getting the tram to the city centre and the staff are wonderful. The restaurant didn't inspire me when i looked at it on arrival but we ate in one night and the food and service were exceptional. Steak Salad and chips, wine coffee and liquors. I would definitely recommend this for a group of friends coming for the christmas market.

The decor inside and outside looked a bit tired. So on arrival its not very inspiring and I was a bit disappointed, until we got great service. The service makes up for the less inspiring decor. And Honestly comfortable clean and good food.

The location is great for getting in and out of Strasbourg. The tram stop is a 5 minute walk away and then its a short tram ride right into the centre of Strasbourg. The hotel staff were welcoming on arrival and the car park felt safe and easy to use. The receptionist was very helpful with instructions on how to use the trams and gave us good restaurant tips while visiting the Christmas markets. The breakfast buffet was excellent and is a must unless you want to go into Strasbourg for breakfast as there is no where else we found very close to the hotel. The hotel is excellent value for money and was warm and comfortable at the end of long fun filled days at the Christmas markets and adventuring round Strasbourg and Colmar.

Overall the hotel was excellent for our visit. The rooms are modest in size and are functional but not beautiful. The cost is very reasonable with the nights we stayed about £150 per room compared with the Ibis at £350 per night and rooms in Strasbourg at over £500 per night.

Breakfasts were more than enough with lots of variety. Worth paying for. Staff all helpful and courteous. Extra service for a rubber safety mat for the shower was helpful for my husband as he has balance issues.

As a staff member had offered to buy a safety mat for the shower when I asked, we waited two nights before my husband could take a shower. Perhaps hotels might consider having a couple of mats on hand for guests who need the extra safety in the shower or bath. A long walk was necessary to get to the tram service. To most travelers it was only 5 to 7 minuets, but because of my husbands disability in slow unsteady walking it took us longer, especially at the end of a busy day.

This hotel was very cost effective. Me and my girlfriend were visiting Strasbourg for the weekend and didn’t want to spend a crazy amount of money so we chose this hotel. The room was alot smaller than expected but that was okay because it was really comfortable. I wish the heat circulated in the room better but everything was clean and the staff was super nice! The front desk representatives were very nice as well and I felt confident in this place when I checked in. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Strasbourg. I didn’t get to try the breakfast but after reading some of the reviews, I will try it during the next stay. The location was really good as it was only a 5 minute walk across from the train station so we were able to get anywhere in the city very quickly. That provided us with a safer way of traveling so that was a really plus!

The heating unit doesn’t really heat the room due to the way the air comes out of the heater. It would be more efficient to have a heater that faces outward as where it’s currently positioned, it’s directly up under the mirror and tv when the heater gets hot, it shuts off for a little while. It was really cold this weekend so that was my only issue with my stay

From reception’s staff to room to breakfast, everything was amazing. Slept good, ate good breakfast. Room was clean. Well managed. Two different guys welcomed me at different times, both super cool guys (pardon for not remembering their names).

I walked from the centre to the hotel every day during my stay so during night time it can fell a bit lonely (but never unsafe) on streets as the hotel is between residential streets. But this secluded part is i what i also liked as there was no street noise.

I stayed at this hotel recently and had a great experience. The room was small but very ergonomic, with everything thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the space. It was spotless, and towels were changed daily, which I really appreciated. The staff at the reception were polite and very helpful. The location is also quite convenient – about 10 to 15 minutes from the city center by public transport. Would definitely recommend it for a comfortable and efficient stay!

Very handy for the tram into the old town of Strasbourg. It was very difficult to find a hotel closer to the town that had on site parking. So this was ideal and easy to find. The evening meal at the hotel was delicious and all the staff especially the two male receptionists morning and evening were particularly friendly and very helpful. Very quiet location for a restful sleep. The decor was very old fashioned dated but rustic but that added to the quaintness of it all not a reason not to stay here.

The bathrooms are very very small and if you are a larger size person you would have difficulty using these facilities in your room. I can only say for the 3 rooms we had maybe other rooms were different.

The Hotel Strasbourg- Montagne Verte & Restaurant Louisiane is an excellent choice for tourists who want to visit Strasbourg for one or two days. Its location close to the tramway is perfect to reach the center in less than 10 minutes and to leave your car in the hotel parking ( free). Our room was somewhat exiguous but without feeling confined since we were sightseeing all day long. The restaurant is excellent with a wide selection of regional specialties such as the "tarte a l'oignon." Finally, Select the breakfast / brunch buffet; it is outstanding with a delicious variety of healthy or not so healthy choices to please everyone. You won't be hungry until 4 pm!
