We were so happy that we have chosen exactly this hotel. Location is in calm place, just next to the nature . Our room was clean and cozy , the bad was comfortable , there was a kettle in our room so you can have a cup of tea (however the hotel provides just two tea bags, so you should buy more if you need). The breakfast was with variety of the dishes , plenty of fruits and vegetables, you should order the eggs to servants (they are not served on buffet ). Oliver is so sunny person , he is full of kindness, very polite and attentive , like all other staff.

We loved our stay... It was too short, we will come back! The area is beautiful, quiet and serene, just a few kilometers away from Baden Baden. The staff in this family owned hotel is very welcoming. What a pleasure to interact with such nice people! The room is great, with a pleasant balcony and ensuite bathroom: it is spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely brilliant; indeed better than many 5* hotels I have stayed in. The quality, taste and variety of the dishes offered is amazing; served in a beautiful room and with impeccable style. What a treat! Parking is available for free. Overall, a brilliant stay. We highly recommend this beautiful place!

The bus station is not centrally located and neither is this hotel. So a taxi ride is in the 50 to $60 range. We were unaware of the issue until arrival. Fortunately, we were able to get bus info from someone at a store at the station. There is a direct bus that stops in front of the hotel. We also bused to the city center during our time there. However, they only ran until 7:30 in November, requiring a taxi ride back. No Ubers in Baden Baden. The hotel is at the end of the town and the road past it appears to head into the forest. This was a quiet, almost idyllic spot, with a good restaurant just across the street . The hotel breakfast was excellent, with a big spread, made to order eggs and coffee--Latte, Cappuccino etc.-- and excellent cheese, apple and other cakes and baked goods. The manager and staff were helpful and knowledgeable. With a car, this would also be an excellent choice. The manager will also answer emails and will provide details on buses etc. .

Only thing that caused an issue was not understanding the transportation issues before arrival.

My stay at Schwarzwaldhotel Sonne in Baden-Baden was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place was special. The location is breathtaking, with my room on the second floor offering a stunning view of the river. Despite the absence of an elevator, this was hardly an issue, as the beauty of the surroundings and the comfort of the room more than made up for it. The staff were absolutely exceptional. They were always available, incredibly professional, and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their friendliness and attention to detail really stood out, and I felt genuinely cared for during my entire stay. Breakfast was a delightful experience every morning, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was such a pleasure to start my day with a wonderful meal while enjoying the peaceful, scenic view. The room itself was impeccably clean and well-organized, with every comfort I could have hoped for. One of my favorite moments was sitting on the balcony, sipping my morning coffee, and watching the river flow by as birds chirped in the background. It was a magical, serene experience that I won’t soon forget. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this hotel is the perfect place. The location, the views, the service, and the cleanliness were all beyond my expectations. I’ll definitely be returning to this hotel the next time I visit Baden-Baden.

booked a one night stay in this hotel on our motorbike trip to switzerland .The staff were great and the rooms were perfect what a view from our balcony . we booked and the rooms were superb and i could not fault a single thing about the hotel . After we came back to the hotel the bar was shutting , the girl on reception said just help yourself to the bar and leave a note on how much you took and we will add it to your bill in morning . A ABSOLUTE SUPERB GESTURE . The breakfast was superb . if i could give this hotel 11/10 i would it was that nice . will be back .

We needed a little getaway to rest, explore and reconnect. This place was perfect for that. Breakfast on Sunday morning was beautiful and delicious. The staff met our needs and care truly for their guests. We explored the region by taking a hike on the Oberkircher Brennersteig trail. Highly recommend as it's a Schnapps "tour." Absolutely wonderful! We will be back here again!

The toilet could be tightened down. The door to the room needs a little oil so it doesn't squeak.

Definitely the best one on our way from Ireland to Lithuania! Nice and friendly stuff (but be prepared that in the evening time there you will not meet them), amazing location - plenty of lovely paths for walking/running just outside the door and the biggest surprise was breakfast. They feed you the same way they want to eat. I can’t remember I had such an amazing breakfast in my life! 5 star hotel! Will try to get back one day for exploration of Baden Baden and it’s surroundings!

The one small thing is WiFi. At the room you simple don’t have WiFi. Byt who cares about WiFi when you have King’s breakfast?:-)

Breakfast is worth every euro! Homemade jams, granola, breads and eggs to order. Best cappucino on our trip. The staff was wonderful - made arrangements to get us our room early after a very long travel day. Did a great job explaining the area and amenities. Wonderful setting near the stream and a restaurant/coffee shop/ bakery/market. Ten minutes from the spa. Fell in love with the area and drove out of our way to stop in again before going to the airport. Parking was at the property and free. Easy to drive the city.

The breakfast was exceptional. Staff very friendly and our room (the apartment above the garage) was really spacious. Beds v comfortable. Location great - three bars/ restaurants in walking distance and beautiful walks to the waterfalls. Lovely balcony.

The apartment was a little dated although we were very comfortable and it was very clean. WiFi wasn't great but probably because we were in the apartment.

Very good communication with the property regarding late check-in. The rooms were spacious. The breakfast was generous and of a very high-standard. The hotel was located near Baden-Baden but was in a quiet location with a village-feeling. Several restaurants within walking distance for evening-meals.

That we only stayed one night! We were passing through and plan to return for a longer stay sometime soon.
