The location of this very comfortable hotel was excellent. Close to a small grassed square which was pleasant to sit in if the weather permitted. And next to a convenient bus stop for a short journey to a very useful train station, Zoologischer Garden, for great transport links to the rest of the city. S Bahn and U Bahn. The hotel is very well appointed and tastefully decorated. From the moment you first walk in you are greeted by the welcoming, helpful and friendly reception staff led by Maria. They all speak English very well too. Then on to our room on the fourth floor, accessed by two modern lifts. Our room was a delight. An exceptionally comfortable, large bed. Great fresh cotton bed linen, changed every few days by the very efficient housekeeping staff, who serviced our room every day and cleaned and refreshed our bathroom. And of course made our bed and hoovered the plush carpets. Our bathroom had a large lit mirror and small vanity mirror, hair dryer and daily replenished toiletries of great quality. A separate toilet cubicle and separate large walk in shower. The room also had a large screen TV with ample channels. It was conveniently mounted on a floor stand which meant it could be swivelled around to view from the bed or turned in the opposite direction to view from two very comfortable, leather, easy chairs complimented by a leather foot stall. These were either side of a stylish desk with table top lamp and easy access usb ports. The room also has ample wardrobe and cupboard space. Of course there is a room safe too. Outside we had a very nice, large balcony, with chairs and table, and a great view of the pretty tree lined street. On the ground floor is a very stylish restaurant with outside and conservatory dining areas. As for the open kitchen we can’t praise it enough. Breakfast was plentiful and deliciously cooked, catering for all types of world breakfast tastes.

Our only small criticism would be that the restaurant was often closed in the evening to hotel guests if it was privately booked for large groups or family celebrations. That was a slight shame, because on the one evening, in a ten day holiday, we were able to book a table we had the most excellent meal and service. The kitchen staff prepared us a delightful meal. We would consider it to be one of the best we had in Berlin on our ten day holiday. If you can book a table, then we thoroughly recommend dining there.

The location is very good. The room was bright. There were beautiful views from the balcony. The bed was big and very comfortable. Breakfast is varied and very tasty. The service staff also offered us a hot breakfast, which was included in the menu. We really liked the service staff. At the reception, we were met by very polite and smiling staff. Any questions were answered quickly. They also recommended a good restaurant in German style. Thank you for such service!

This property is an interesting mix of two worlds. The exterior, lobby and public spaces are seriously art deco and very interesting with videos of old Berlin playing in the hallways. The rooms, however, feel very much like the Marriott they are! Nothing wrong with them at all -- comfortable, spacious bathroom -- just not very unique. The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. It was just a few minutes walk to busy parts of Berlin but felt more like a residential neighborhood.

I have been to Berlin many times and this is the first time I stayed in this part of town. While the hotel is no more than a 10 minute walk to K'damm, KaDeWe, the Kaiser Wilhem church, the zoo and other landmarks, for me the neighborhood felt a little far afield from 'central' Berlin (where 'central' Berlin is located is always up for debate, though). I found myself renting scooters and ebikes every day to head east down Unter den Linden and beyond. If you love high end shopping, the zoo, the aquarium, and western Berlin, this hotel is a great choice. I found the area a bit touristy, the immediate neighborhood a little too quiet, and the area around the Zoo Bahnhof to be uncharacteristically dirty. Breakfast was only okay.

Loved this hotel. Really cozy, great services and super clean. Good food for any part of the day: breakfast, lunch or dinner. Good location as well. Charlotenburg is my fav area, central enough but not in Mitte. Super nice rooms, great height. We will definitely stay again here.

I booked a room with balcony and nxt time I will book an ordinary one. The balcony did not bring any extra but was more expensive. Also, it was not properly clean on the balcony a bit dusty.

Morning breakfast location and choices of food were superb. Very good quality. We ate very well. Coffee was great. That's always important! The room was spacious, gorgeous shower, very comfy bed, very quiet room, Location was a calm, pretty area of the city. Lots of super restaurants. Within walking distance of the Berlin Bus stops so that we could easily get to places further afield, such as Alexanderplatz.

Air con in room was a bit noisy if you wanted a higher setting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and everything was incredible. The quality of the food but also the room. But what made our stay exceptional was by far the staff. We sometimes feel like we don't belong in these exclusive places. But the staff made us feel included and welcome every step of the way. They allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience and we are incredibly grateful for that. Thank you so much for making our stay special.

Went to Berlin for a weekend break and am Steinplatz was an excellent hotel. rooms were clean and spacious with good amenities. The breakfasts were lovely with lots of choice. Location was great as the hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle but not too far to get anywhere such as the train station. Staff were very helpful.

flawless customer service, this was my second visit and the standards were precisely as high as during my first (January 2022). front of house staff, kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance made it their business to be polite and friendly with every encounter. beautiful property, very well designed room layout, balcony is lovely. large lavatory, toilet has separate door, spotlessly cleaned. the establishment and its personnel define the word ‘hospitality’. my needs are met before “needing them” (good umbrellas!). easy 10/10.

breakfast could use some streamlining. I’d prefer a different eggs benny with either croissants or an English muffin. Hollandaise should be better. warm buffet was a little stale, and the bacon was far too crispy. why not make less and refill more often? cold buffet is excellent. coffee is excellent.

Lovely boutique hotel; nicely appointed rooms, great bar and restaurant on property, close to shops and restaurants in the adjacent neighborhood. The staff is very helpful and is committed to making your stay peaceful and enjoyable.
