Location is walking distance to local shops and cafes. Very near to trams to take you into the city .Given a free travel ticket which is excellent. Able to pick your room key up from entrance box with your unique pin number if staff were not available. Staff were lovely. Friendly, happy and helpful.

Would have liked tea/ coffee facilities in the room.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, good location close to train and tram stops and a shopping mall in Düsseldorf Bilk. There is a pantry equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, etc for common use. Would recommend the hotel to anyone unless they require a large room or room service

Perhaps room size and lack of elevators are the only drawbacks. Couldn't find electrical wall sockets easily in the room. But its not a fair criticism since this is not something they promised to provide. They delivered on everything they promised

Have stayed a number of times at Hotel Karolinger and it has retained its value over the years. For a budget traveller it is excellent as it offers a nice clean modern room with own bathroom, its location is only minutes away on one side to a number of trams plus a supermarket and the other side to the Dusseldorf Bilk station with links to many areas of NRW. The hotel still offers for free the NRW VRR travel ticket for the whole duration of the stay which is excellent value. Across the street is a kiosk shop that opens to midnight and offers drinks, snacks and other items etc.

Room was nice, everything clean, check in very easy with the number combination to get the key. Super soft bed. No-interaction check in was a bliss.

Walls arent very thick, you can hear loud neighbour's very well. Hall system a bit confusing. Bed was very loud. Never saw a single staff, which I dont mind at all, I was informed, but the only lady I ever saw was a bit rude.

It was very peaceful, self check in was quite easy. The location is very convenient even for Koln. Bilk train station is less than 5 min. There are a lot shopping places, restourants/cafes. Also there are alternetive transportation options like strassen bahn/buses. Düsseldorf Arcaden shopping mall near the train station. Although I came for Koln, staying was very convenient.

The heatining was not working probably but the weather was good so it did not bother me. There is no elevator, incase you have heavy luggages and mind that be aware of that.

I liked the hotel for its location - easy to reach by multiple train and tram lines, and a public transport ticket for the duration of your stay is included in the room price - and for its quietness. Slept very well in the comfortable bed. No frills, but it had everything that's needed, except breakfast, but there's plenty of restaurants and bakeries nearby. Reception not necessarily open all the time, but got a message beforehand telling me where to find the keybox and my code for the locker.

Perfectly located near public transport stops in close proximity to shopping centres. The hotel provides you with a public transport ticket valid for the entire duration of your stay which was a pleasant bonus. Great self-service lounge area if you want to have a snack but forgot to bring your own. Nice and tranquil rooms

Location is great as the tram is right around the corner which i mostly took. Grocery stores also closeby as well. Room is spacious and bathroom great. Staff really great as well and great to chat to. Ended up chatting to one of the staff about football which was nice

Just an FYI the bed is quite small (single). I am 164cm tall and my feet are very close to the edge, so i would imagine someone much taller may find it a bit of a squeeze

Great location, lovely little hotel. The staff is very helpful, and while no breakfast options, there is a small area with food and drink options.

Only thing to keep in mind is there are no lifts. If stairs are a problem for someone, or there is heavy luggage, it might be difficult to go up to the room on the higher floors.

Hotel is situated in a very good area. Not far from Sbahn station. Very clean etc.

It’s a little bit personal but- the elevator is absent. If you want to rent a room you should know that.
