We use this hotel when visiting family and the Christmas markets and always enjoy staying here. It is well placed for shopping at the Konigsalle and a short walk to the old town and Rhine promenade. With tram stops and the Underground station outside it is easy to get around town. The hotel itself is very attractive in the public areas and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with all the facilities we need and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was modern with a superb shower. Breakfast here is always a pleasure with a vast choice of food and drink, which is always well presented and delicious.

The hotel was located centrally and gave access to the high street and within walkable distance to many restaurants. Access to the public transport was also great, we were just across the U-Bahn station which made travel within the city and outside the city very convenient. Great location interns of parks and canals. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Overall a good stay and a great holiday.

There was a billing issue with and from Booking.com, which was clarified at the hotel and I had to make an additional payment. Which made me question if I could have chosen other places to stay considering the additional money I had to pay. But it was a passing thought and it passed, else everything was fine.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were plenty. Cleaning (though on demand) was OK. Breakfast was delicious and very diverse. My room was on the 7th floor and I had no issues with street noises at night. The staff seemed professional, though maybe a little cold. The Hotel facilities look modern and stylish. Also it is close to a U-Bahn stop, so you can easily get around the city. I found it handy to have vending machines in the hall, for snacks and drinks.

There was a little misunderstanding with the cleaning: while trying to figure out how the tablet in my room works, I must have accidentally requested to skip the cleaning for my whole stay. I admit it was my fault, as I should have paid more attention, but when I spoke to the staff at the reception about that, and requested for my room to be cleaned, they seemed a little annoyed by it. I found the whole "on-demand-cleaning" system a little strange, to be honest. Anyway, the room was cleaned in the end, which is what matters most. Also I found the parking a little expensive.

Excellent hotel! Very good rooms, comfortable beds, good location, close to the main boulevard, and a short walk to the old town and the center of nightlife and cafes. The lobby is very nicely decorated. The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. I will definitely come back here when I visit Dusseldorf again.

Communication with the hotel staff through Booking was not good. I wrote several messages and got no response. It was only after I called the hotel that I received excellent service, but I would have expected a response to my messages in a reasonable time. Additionally, in one of the rooms, the bathroom door was a bit rotten from moisture at the bottom. We didn't complain as it didn't really bother us but I would have expected better maintenance in a hotel of this standard.

I really liked the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel – it made me feel right at home. My room was comfortable and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast exceeded my expectations with its fresh, diverse, and delicious options. The location was also fantastic – very central and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and attractions. One of the highlights of my stay was spending time at the hotel bar. The cozy ambiance and music took me back to good old days, and I truly had some unforgettable moments there.

There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. Everything met or even exceeded my expectations.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Loved the pancake machine. Rooms were sensible and very comfortable. First time seeing that the bathroom floor was heated. Loved the soap that was provided in the bathrooms. Size of room was really good and beds very comfortable. Also felt the staff at reception were very professional and helpful.

In the shower, the floor was very smooth and slippery. Could be dangerous for seniors having a shower. Should have put a shower mat to reduce chances of falls. Fitness centre should have more free weights instead of just 1 pair of dumbbells.

Hotel was overbooked upon arrival, which made it hard for us to even get a room while checking in - and whole Düsseldorf was booked because of Coldplay playing in the city. On day of arrival it was 32 degrees outside, for which we were offered a room without airco at first. After a little discussion with front office staff we were offered another room, with airco. That room was good!

The location is perfect. A 5 min walk to the main high street (Koe) and a 10-15min walk to the old town. Staff within all departments were super welcoming and attentive at all times. The room was modern and well maintained, and quite spacious. The cleaners did a fab job around the entire hotel. I think it's a perfect hotel for business guests and tourists.

Shower had a leak but the staff handled this well. No decaf coffee at the hotel not a biggie but would've been nice.

I had an adaptable room roll in shower , this is our 2nd visit here and we got the same room . Staff very helpful would have been nice for restaurant to have been open in an evening but it wasn’t . Beds very comfortable and room clean.

We had breakfast the last day as we left on 4th March the breakfast was cold and dried up not worth the money will go to Extra Blatt for breakfast next year half the price and eat as much as you want .

Nice, modern room with comfortable bed, small refrigerator, coffee making station, desk, and safe (though it was mounted on a high shelf where my wife could not reach it). Hotel staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. Location is excellent – just steps from the tram and U-Bahn, and also easy walking distance to the shopping district and old town. Breakfast was good and had something for most preferences. Internet worked well, though it was necessary to re-connect frequently. Our room was generally very quiet at night.

One of the two main elevators was out of service for the entire 2 weeks of our stay (awaiting spare parts). On most days this was not a problem, but on busy weekend and at checkout time, there were long waits and it was necessary to use the service elevators. Finally, our room was quite warm at times, even with our heating unit completely turned off. Perhaps this is related to the unusually warm December weather. All in all, we had a very pleasant 2-week stay and would certainly return to Leonardo Royal on future visits to the city.
