Beautifully clean and so handy for the train station. The room was generous sized and had everything I needed. Great value for money, I would stay again.

My only complaint is that check out is 12 noon. Housekeeping had entered my room twice by 10:40 despite me requesting to be left. The first time was in front of 9am and I feel that this is a little intrusive.

I always stay at the Metropolitan Hotel by Flemings when I visit Frankfurt. I live in Heidelberg and love being able to get off the train at the HBF (main railway station) and walk across the street to the hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Frankfurt. From the hotel, I can walk all over Frankfurt or catch the U Bahn or S Bahn at the train station. Okay, the area surrounding the HBF is maybe not so nice but I feel very safe in the hotel. And there are always security personnel and police in the area. The personnel are always friendly, the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, and breakfast is sumptuous and delicious. In addition, the hotel has an old world feel about it, which I love!

Lovely charming Hotel right beside the main train station and convenient to main shopping and tourist areas Staff were helpful and friendly, especially "Nina" on reception who was very pleasant and went out of her way to help us, she help us with a detailed map of all areas to visit, she was very professional and helpful throughout our stay Room was great with a large bathroom and a large bath, lots of hot water

Hotel was great, the area around the Train Station was not great but if you are familiar with city life this is nothing new and the Hotel and all of the good stuff above outweighed any concerns

The room was clean and bed comfortable. The service from staff was excellent. It's such a lovely old hotel. Initially we went to the Flemings (self serve) hotel a few doors down, was so glad when we realised the cab dropped us at the wrong hotel. This hotel is a beautiful old hotel, lovely cocktail bar. It is ideally located near the main Frankfurt station so it was just a short walk with a lot of luggage to check into the eurostar. Would stay again.

Unfortunately we couldn't dine at the hotel as it was exclusively holding a special tasting. Plenty of options nearby but you should be careful as security warned us not to walk to the left of the hotel as you walk out, due to issues with the type of people who congregate there, instead walk straight out across the road and then down into town where there were many food options.

We were given a free upgrade and had a bigger room. Room a little dated but it was clean and spacious. Room amenities were provided too. We did not take the breakfast option but we saw that the hotel had free apples that guests can help themselves to - very kind gesture! Thank you!

There are steps at the entrance of the hotel and there was no slope provided. This becomes a challenge to handle our luggages when arriving and leaving.

Hotel is well situated for Main Station and Messe Frankfurt EXPO centre. Ideal also for local restaurants and shopping. Rooms good size and very clean / functional. Staff excellent providing efficient friendly service. Nice free cookies and haribo in reception too.

Lack of power points and no USB points in room so problematic for using charging laptops etc. Room temperature difficult to get correct, and poor quality pillows, fixed by getting second pillow and something experienced in other German hotels. None of these things would stop me staying here in future.

We really, really enjoyed our brief overnight stay on our first night in Germany. So much that we tried to book a night on our return but it turns out we'd got a very good deal on the night we'd booked and couldn't afford the busy season rates! We'll certainly keep an eye out for future visits to see what the rates are. We know what the area is like, but honestly the location was perfect for getting on the train with our luggage the next day. Easy check-in. The rooms are a good size, clean, comfortable beds, choice of pillows, great shower AND bath. Airconditioning was a relief.

The only suggestion we'd make is having some kind of ramp at the front door level to the foyer for accessibility. Even if it's a portable one that can be put out when needed. Getting heavy luggage up those stairs was hard even with our trolley because the stairs have a lip on them. But other than that it was perfect.

The welcoming staff! Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Jack in the bar was most helpful with advice about where to go and what to see. Breakfast was excellent. Little touches like cool drinks, fruit and fortune cookies at reception.

With their sustainability initiative housekeeping was every other day but the room did not have towel racks to hang towels to dry. The hotel could install shower racks easily. I also did not like the pungent masculine scent of the shower gel. One side of the hotel was a lille unsavory but easily avoided - don’t let that put you off.
