Hospitality of the reception was excellent and very cooperative! My wife being pregnant was unhappy about the twin bed situation so, they upgraded us to a premium room for no extra charge. Since we visited in May and stayed on the top floor - the room got a bit too hot to sleep comfortably - here the staff were happy to offer the possibility to move to a room in the lower floors - but, in the end we managed without moving by opening the windows for a bit. Location was amazing - with the S-bahn and the U-bahn right outside. Parking was also very convenient - just drive SLOWLY AND SAFELY in the parking lot - it's quite tight. View of the Cologne Cathedral was amazing from the room!

We noticed that the window sills and the tops of the windows had quite some dust on them. But, this is me really nit-picking.

Our room was a family room and it was huge, air conditioning was perfect, plenty of space for luggage, it was also great for the kids as they had plenty of space to play. Rooms are soundproof so didn't hear anything from other guests, church (across the road) bells or trains, (though we were exhausted by bedtime so sleep was no problem). Beds were soooo comfortable and so were the pillows and duvet, I didn't miss my own bed at all! Infact I'm very much missing my hotel bed. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but really tasty. Good variety and fresh.

We arrived at 8am and couldn't check in until 3pm. I'd asked for earlier check in and put my arrival time in. We were travelling with children and were all exhausted. Staff didn't even let us know when 9ur room was ready if it was before 3pm for us to check in.

The room was big, and you have extra bed for your child in the same room which is Nice😊

The checkin was quick and friendly. The room was huge, a lot larger than what I expected and I had a nice view. The beds were also comfortable. The hotel is 15m walk from the main train station which is very convenient. I absolutely recommend this hotel for a long weekend. It was possible to part the car on the street behind the hotel overnight (not during the day). Walk towards the train station next to the hotel, turn left around the corner and you will find an amazing coffee place (Meramanis) with handmade coffees 5min from the hotel.

The quarter and nearby station may look a bit run down from the outside, but the hotel is actually great for a quick stay in Köln.

The heating was very good, temperature was around 0 Celcius, but we were very comfortable heatwise. We guess sound insulation was very good too. Even though we were booked the room directly across the train rails, we almost never heard them. Loud trains were our main worry before our travel, but we saw that it's not a problem at all (it might be a problem only if you are over-sensitive). The public transportation available from the hostel was excellent, S-bahn and U-bahn from 2 minutes of walk from hostel, then only 5-15 minutes to get to almost any place in the city center. Moreover, the room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The building in which the hostel is located is kind of historical, I guess, also with 5 minutes of walk from the hostel, there were some historical (?) walls. After checking out, we left our baggage for 10 hours and they were equally fine after we took them. Baggage room was secure. All in all, I and my father on a tight budget really liked the hostel and we recommend to anyone visiting Cologne.

The only problem was that there wasn't a mini fridge in the room by default. But this is a little problem. Maybe they can provide a solution at the reception, which were kind.

We really liked the room. The biggest room i have ever been to. Cleanliness and comfort.

We didn't like the moment when a guy was checking us in. While he was making the room key I mentioned him that we also left our luggage with them. Then he replied to us:" Don't rush me, I know". Which didn't sound professional at all abd rude. I know what is like working in reception,because I am front office supervisor and this way you don't talk to the guest.

The hotel is in very good location - near train station so you can travel easily around the city, but also near the city center so you can go around by foot. Note that, even if it's near the train station, the windows are soundproof, so there will be no noise at all. The amenities are great - everything is so thoughtful - many plugs everywhere, you get a coffee machine with cofee nad tea, iron and all that little details that make a room comfortable. The bathroom was big, clean and very comfy as well. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend.

There is nothing I didn't like.

From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, and they kindly helped me store my luggage. The rooms were clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Upon check-out, they once again allowed me to leave my luggage with them, which was greatly appreciated. Their thoughtful and understanding attitude really stood out. I even returned for a quick coffee before continuing my journey. very close to Hansaring train station. If I visit Cologne again, this hotel will be my first choice without hesitation.

The room was extra spacious and the bed comfortable. It was clean and seemed new or newly renovated. The hotel is close to a train and metro station, which makes it easier to reach other areas in the city, but there is noise because of the trains, even with the soundproof windows (earplugs will be helpful!)

The check-in was the worse experience I had - it took 45min in the line waiting. The neighbourhood was not pleasant; even though it is easy to access the city, it is not nice to walk around. The value for the money for this stay was not worth but I went during the weekend for Christmas markets, so all hotels are expensive.

Neat ,spacious and clean rooms and location right next to the station. Bathroom also neat and clean. Breakfast option is available for 16+ euros which we felt little expensive so we didn't take that option.So no comments there Our room window was facing the train station and next to bridge so frequently we hear train passing vibrations. It was not a big deal for sound sleepers like my wife and kid, only I had minor problems with that but still manageable.

The bathtub to switch between shower and pipe was broken and not working. Since we had only 1 night stay booked didn't bother to ask.just informed reception next day morning while checking out. Bathroom gives the feeling of little old one.
