Staff are all very helpful and kind. Our bags had been lost in transit by the airline and the receptionist was most helpful when the bags were finally returned to us. Lovely powerful shower. Slept well, quiet location. Very central location - only 200 metres from the main BahnHof Railway Station. Only minutes to walk to the start of the main 'tourist' route, down Neuhauser Strasse and from there to the Marienplatz and Viktualen Markt. etc.etc.
Not a dislike, just an aspect to note: Not for those who are wheelchair bound, or those who have difficulty climbing stairs. This lovely old building with a small central courtyard has no Elevator/Lift.

I recently stayed here while attending the Adele and Coldplay concerts, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. During concert events, hotel prices in Munich tend to surge, but Hotel Eder offered a very reasonable rate, making it an excellent choice. The location is fantastic—it's conveniently close to public transport, including trams and the DB, which made getting around the city a breeze. The hotel is also within walking distance to the old town, allowing me to explore Munich’s historical sites without hassle. Surrounded by a variety of restaurants, the area has plenty to offer. I was particularly pleased to find a kebab shop nearby that stays open late, perfect for grabbing a bite after the concerts. The room, while compact, was more than adequate for a solo traveler. It was clean and thoughtfully designed, with a well-maintained washroom. The shower room was particularly impressive; it was efficiently partitioned to prevent water from splashing onto the floor, and the drain worked flawlessly. Breakfast was a delightful experience. Served in their cozy, boutique-style cafeteria, the meal was a great way to start the day. The variety and quality exceeded my expectations. What stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. They were always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, Hotel Eder offers excellent value, especially during peak event periods. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.

Excellent value for the price I paid! Breakfast was hearty and had sufficient variety for my short stay. Stairs climbing is needed, but I had help with my luggage, which I appreciated! Rooms were small but comfy. Kitchen and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.
Some of the reception staff aren't the friendliest but they get the job done, so can't complain there. Wished there were simple facilities like fridge and kettle, but I managed to borrow a kettle (you need EUR10 cash, which will be refunded to you)

Good location, rooms aren’t very big but for a city hotel this is no big deal. Breakfast was very good. Very close to train station and metro. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. If this is an issue you can call or email the hotel like we did for a room on the ground or first floor and then they will accommodate you on these floors.
There is no airconditioning in the rooms, so in summertime it can get hot. The pillows where not that good, way to soft almost like you where sleeping without one.

Location was perfect. Bulding is a typical old city center building although hotel tried to make it in autentic way with wood so it looks good. Everything was clean. Room is a bit small but okay for couple days. I did not like comfort of the beds and pillow. Employee's were perfect and helpful. Overall I would recommend it for short touristic trips. With this price its really good. I would stay again.
Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Especially pillows were bad.

The hotel is located in an excellent location: around the corner, a five-minute walk away, Munich Central Station is incredibly convenient. There is also an entrance to the metro. If you choose this hotel, then you save a lot of time and money on travel! There are offices of car rental companies with paid parking within a seven-minute walk - it was also incredibly convenient. And we didn't know all about it until we checked into the hotel. The main attractions of the city are within walking distance - we walked for about 10-15 minutes with a stroller. People in the reviews wrote about problems with the construction - there are no problems, maybe they were noisy during the day, but during the day we walked around the city, and at night it was absolutely quiet. People in the reviews write that they could not get into the hotel at night - yes, at night you can only get into the hotel with a card (you need to arrive at the designated check-in time). Breakfast at the hotel is incredibly tasty and varied! Everything in the rooms is simple, but neat, perfectly clean.
The only negative of the hotel, in our opinion, is the lack of an elevator. We had to drag heavy suitcases to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Please create a paid service for movers!! We are ready to pay! There are no more complaints about the hotel. The hotel is simply magnificent!

Great quite location however there is a large building project across the street where they start work at 7,30 and finish at 5 , before and after this time it’s very quite but it never bothered us. The breakfast and breakfast room is very good with plenty of continental choices.
The only thing I would say is that the rooms get very hot 🥵 we we’re for 4 days in an unseasonlly warm October and the room was very warm we had the window open at every opportunity, there eere 2 fans supplied in the room but I would imagine in the summer it would be boiling. A/C needed

Cozy room with comfortable beds, with featherdown comforters and pillows. Cute historic decor. The windows opened three different ways so you could have fresh air even if it was raining without letting the rain inside. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful! The location was close to all the different public transportation options and only a short walk to Marienplatz. The Continental breakfast was fantastic each day!
Noisy construction across the street woke us early in the morning. The bathroom was tiny!! We had to literally squeeze past the sink to get into the shower. No elevators.

nice rustic type pension, typical single room with bed and work area, tea making surface, smallish bathroom. Breakfast was well set out out though not a lot of room, typical continental food, sadly while they had a toaster no white/brown bread and no English tea finished up buying my own, staff very helpful was here when the snow came 3feet and Munich ground to a halt, they were full every night High marks to reception and Breakfast Ladies who were above and beyond. Would stay again thought not cheep!!
no sliced white/brown bread or English Tea. not all staff are that friendly

Rooms were great. Bed was plenty comfortable. Breakfast wasn't bad the one day we chose to get it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were quite pleased with the property itself. The location was convenient to the Marienplatz and public transportation.
The location was in a pretty dirty part of Munich, but once you got inside it was great and quiet.
