Its a quiet comfortable place with pleasant and helping personal. Rooms have good sound isolation. And you can always have water, fruits and tea/coffee in the lobby for free. The bar is also working

If you are walking from Hauptbahnhof to the hotel, you must be aware, that the part of Shillerstrasse from the Bayernstrasse to the hotel is closed for construction works

We booked AWA because of its convenient location to the Subway as we were catching it the next day to go to the airport. There was construction going on out on the street, but as soon as you walked in, all was quiet. We had a courtyard view room and enjoyed it quite a bit. I felt the staff was very responsive to our needs. The breakfast spread was quite impressive in all the variety. The staff did offer to make eggs for us. We had omelets, however, they weren't all that great. I am wondering if they need to get a new pan. Overall, if you want a place close to the subway lines, this is a great place to stay as it is very centrally located.

Check-in was very easy, and they allowed us to drop off our luggage early. The staff had great recommendations for what to do and gave us very detailed directions to things we were interested in. The room was decently large and beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was very well stocked - I appreciated that they took your omelet order and brought it to you while you browsed the other offerings.

It is very close to the main train station (we were able to walk with our luggage which was a plus) and about a 20 min walk to Munich old town, which was nice, and while the neighborhood was fine, it wasn't overly attractive.

Stayed at AWA Hotel in Munich for 4 nights in June. Great experience overall — very friendly staff, amazing breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bonus — a balcony overlooking the hotel’s quiet yard, which helped reduce the street noise. The hotel is very close to the city center. Highly recommend for a convenient and pleasant stay.

However, the location was a downside. The hotel is on a very noisy and dirty street, which affected the overall experience. If location is important to you, this may not be the best option. And the second option , it would’ve been nice to have bottled still water in the room.

air conditioner didn't cope very well with hot weather even with windows closed shower in bath - not as easy or safe as one gets older, but grip rail had been installed a little noisy outside in evening, especially with window open

Beds, bathroom, AC, all fine. Bar & barkeeper were great, we arrived late but he kept it open for us for a beer. Receptionists were friendly and accommodating. Communication prior to stay was easy. Breakfast was great, location close to city centre is great, parking garage -which we didn't intend to need in the first place- was easy to find and use.

A bit of a negative is the clientele around the hotel at night due to proximity to the main station. Lots of groups of young male immigrants that roam the streets, can be a bit scary but wasn't an issue. You won't notice any of it during the day.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The reception staff were extremely helpful and patient and the housekeeping staff on the 7th floor amazing. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and they were easily accessible by lift, as promised. I will be recommending this hotel to my family and friends. It is in a very convenient spot with access to the U Bahn and S Bahn at the top of the street. It could not have been more convenient. It is a very user friendly hotel.

The only problem was the building work at the top of the street but that was nothing to do with the hotel and is only a temporary irritation. There is no negative with this hotel that I've found.

Comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfast!

We arrived at 18.00 and the road from the train station and the road the hotel was in was crowded with dodgy characters that were obviously not Germans which was very off putting as they were hanging around the streets drinking and smoking and staring at us as we walked by making us feel very uncomfortable. The next morning when we left the hotel, the road was empty apart from lots of litter and the dodgy crowds didn't return until later. If you are a single lady and want to go out in the evening, I would not recommend walking about here as the young girls we saw were getting a lot of unwelcome attention. There were also a couple of strip clubs in the road.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly, even taking my order for eggs. The hotel exceeded my expectations.

The shampoo, body wash, and hand wash were already running low when we checked in. I had to go down to the concierge twice to request replacements. We couldn’t replace the bottle in the holder because of a locking mechanism. We expected housekeeping to help the next day, but that didn’t happen. Eventually, I managed to figure it out and replace it myself.
