The location is great in a way that it is very close to the train station and the old city centre. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are of nice quality and quite comfortable, and the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is good too, though, having read awesome reviews on breakfast specifically, I expected more. But it was a good, solid breakfast anyway. So, the hotel is decent and offers a good price/quality ratio!

Though the location is good logistically, it looked somewhat unsafe to me, especially in the evening with all those shady-looking types standing and sitting on the side of the road and street corners, smoking, drinking and whatnot. Though nothing bad happened during my stay, I think it is not the best place, especially when travelling with children. Also, the air in my room was rather damp, so I had to keep the balcony door open when I was inside. No other downsides have been noticed.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and welcoming — they truly made me feel at home. The hotel itself is very comfortable, clean, and quiet, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Its location is also perfect: just a short walk to the city centre and very close to the central train station. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

I was travelling with my 12-year-old child, and everything went smoothly. However, I do wish that there had been no extra charge for the child.

The hotel is very close to the main station, which can be reached in a couple of minutes on foot. The street is crowded during working days, but as soon as one enters the hotel, everything is very quiet. The breakfast buffet is good. The staff at the breakfast room is very kind and ready to help in case of particular wishes. The buffet was also refilled shortly before 10 a.m. (closure time). All the staff members I met were very kind. Spacious and clean room.

Guests who are accustomed to sleeping with air conditioning may find the room somewhat warm. I personally didn’t mind, but it could be uncomfortable for others.

The location was ideal if using public transport to get around. It was close to the old town and had easy access to most points of interest in Munich. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was included.

While the apartment was good value for money it did feel a little austere. There were no homely touches or even a jug to boil water for a cup of tea. Not a deal breaker but important to me when I am away from home for an extended time. Also be prepared to walk through a construction zone to access the hotel.

The room and the hotel were overall comfortable, without any significant issues. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and well-insulated. The breakfast was very good and the serving time (6:30-10:00) accommodates all types of travellers. The hotel was close enough to the major attractions.

The bed mattress could have been more comfortable. Personally, I prefer a system where I can set up the room temperature myself (of course, the allowed range can be set by the hotel), which was not available. While the location was central, the few streets around the hotel were not the nicest.

The staff were wonderful, as was the breakfast. I loved there was a lift to assist with luggage and 24 hour reception, which means you could leave your key and not have to worry about it. Comfy bed and shower, as well as great value for money. It was close to the station. I like that the mini bar had prices for each item.

-The WiFi didn’t work for me at all the first day. -Only one pillow and a steep bath shower (I have a recovering knee injury so was a bit hard to get in and out but there was a rail to assist.) Next two points aren’t as much to do with hotel but someone may find it useful…. - Road was completely blocked when I tried to leave for the train due to a construction site. So had to walk a few extra blocks. (Only a problem if you have mobility issues and count on the short walk with suitcases) - A little noisy at night and felt a teeny bit unsafe as a single female returning after dinner

Hotel is clean, breakfast was tasty and variety. Bed was comfey.

Be aware as female single traveler, the area where the hotel is located does not feel comfortable in the evenings and night. The hotel itself is secure.

Super kind and helpful staff. Clean and very spacy room. A round-the-clock working hotel reception. And a great breakfast to go with that! And the location is close to pretty much anything one might need - train station is 1 minute away, Old Town is 10 minutes away, S-Bahn and U-Bahn and trams close by.

Location... I know, sounds contradictory because the location is actually good. It's just that the street the hotel is located at hosts a lot of gambling clubs plus some other shady places. This makes the street in from quite noisy. Not particularly dangerous but still noisy and filled with some shady characters at night.

Perfectly located near the main train station. Once you're there, easy to get around by foot, tram, underground or bus. Excellent value for money. Very safe - front desk with view to street is staffed around the clock. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. Wifi completely dependable. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly good for a small hotel, and it's very appealing -- they refresh it constantly, so no matter how few guests there are, or how late you come, it always looks appealing and has a full selection.

The service was exceptional. I had brought the wrong adapter plug with me and not only did they have the correct one, they loaned it to me for the remainder of the week so I could charge my phone while on my travels through Ingolstadt and Augsburg. I was returning to the Hotel Ambiente a week later. I was completely bowled over by this gesture.

Nothing I didn't like. The stay on both nights was perfect for me. It's the best location for the main railway station and other landmarks such as Marienplatz etc.
