The location of the facility, the interior design, and the ergonomics of the rooms were terrific. The staff was invaluable and attentive. I also highly recommend you have a meal and drink in the hotel's restaurant. It is in a very local area. It is near where you want to go in the Kolonaki, Psiri, and Monastraki regions, around 5 or 15 minutes on foot. Syntagma metro station is 10 minutes away. We never used a taxi or rental car because of the hotel's location. You can reach it everywhere by metro or on foot. In addition, if you want to shop, A+ and related stores are also very close by.

The management can make the breakfast price a little more promotional. However, we discovered many beautiful places thanks to the lists provided by the hotel and the staff—many thanks to Ms. Xhenina.

Our stay at The Social Athens Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience, offering excellent restaurant recommendations and even making reservations on our behalf. They also arranged seamless airport transfers, making our arrival and departure stress-free. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the city, with key attractions and vibrant neighborhoods just a short walk away. The on-site restaurant serves a delicious brunch with plenty of options to suit all tastes, adding an extra touch of indulgence to our mornings. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and the cleaning staff were always warm and welcoming, adding to the overall sense of comfort and care.

This is the first time after many years and many hotels in Greece that a 4stars hotel is really marvellous and excellent in any possible way so that deserve all the 4 stars. The rooms, regardless if you go for the standard one (like the room 305) or one of the most luxurious with a big balcony full of Mediterranean plants and a breathtaking view (like room 601) are real jewels and an example of how modern design can be glamourous but in an elegant, practical, ergonomic way without losing in coziness thanks to the ideal lighting and the right choice of textile and furniture. But the real added value of the hotel is its team. A very capable manager put together a strong customer focused team of 30+ receptionists: from Carolina, who is able to welcome you in English, Greek or a perfect Italian with the aristocratic elegance that nowadays is so rare even in the upper classes that can be seen only in movies like "Il gattopardo" of Luchino Visconti; to Michalis, who is able to find immediately a solution in the middle of the night if you are hungry and the kitchens of the restaurants are closed; to Dimitris, in his big black eyeglasses that highlights his kindness and desire to help, who is finding a solution on Sunday morning before 8:00 am when all the shops are closed and you urgently need to find and write a last minute letter of wishes before running to a Greek wedding; to Janina and her extraordinary good manners and hypercare that never loses composure even in front of challenging customers. This is the DREAM TEAM you can count on in order to have an outstanding experience in a hotel that without them would be a precious stone but with them is A REAL DIAMOND.

Everything was perfect

One of the best hotels we have stayed. A little boutique hotel close to Syntagma square (approx 5 minutes walk). The rooms are big enough and well equipped. Coffee machine and a kittle included. Super clean! The staff at the reception have been always super friendly, helpful and nice. A special thanks to Dimitris. The breakfast was amazing. Always fresh food and delicious coffee served. We definitely recommend it and would choose this hotel again for our next stay. You can reach all attractions spots easily with the metro from the Syntagma station and yes the boutiques close by are very nice as well.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Carolina was very welcoming during check in and Demitrius was super efficient in getting the ac sorted out and directing me to the best places to visit in Athens. My last minute request for an airport pick up was efficiently organised and alleviated any concerns I had about taking a direct taxi from the airport. Similarly, airport drop was organised quickly by Jannine. All in all, the staff are super friendly, pleasant and ready to go above and beyond! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Breakfast was simple with an adequate range of savoury and sweet dishes-it would be nice to have more variety if possible with the pastries/ savouries and more tea varieties including black tea would be great There were no dark curtains/ blinds in the room, only a thin net curtain, so the morning light filters into the room in the early morning making it difficult to sleep after sunrise.

Fantastic location close to Lycabettus hill and in the lovely Kolonaki area. The first order of business for a hotel is to ensure sleep and I slept like it was my own home. Quiet room with fantastic bed ensured a great night's rest. The helpful staff and fantastic restaurant onsite was an added bonus. Having a glass of wine on the terrace at night with a great view of Lycabettus hill made for a perfect stay. For someone interested in staying active the Presidential park is close by and great for a morning run, if you don't want to use the inhouse gym facilities that the hotel offers. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was super efficient and helpful and friendly. Upon my arrival I was taken care of immediately and I was also given an upgrade which I really appreciated due to the difficulties I had in getting to Athens! A big thank you to Dimitri who with his extra touch made my stay unforgettable. I will definitely come back again for my next business trip and pass on the word to other business partners!

The only thing I did not really enjoy was the breakfast - the coffee machine for coffee was not good, the bread was stale, the quality of the buffet was not very high. I hope they will improve on this but it is not a game changer for me since it is also easy to just step out and have breakfast in the many bars in the area.

We loved our terrace room - beautifully designed, lots of room, separate seating/TV area, large bathroom, and everything was clean, comfortable and convenient. It was great to have the terrace to enjoy a coffee in the morning sunshine. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It's also a great location; away from the hectic tourist hustle and bustle, but just a 10 minute walk from all the action. Would definitely stay here again.

They are currently renovating the hotel bar/restaurant; not really a downside (especially as you can have breakfast a few doors down, and there is a great coffee shop a block away), but will be even better once it's re-opened!

The rooms are beautifully designed, comfortable and quiet. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location in Kolonaki is perfect. Staff in the breakfast room were charming and helpful. The restaurant on the ground floor is very good.

The breakfast was OK, but not really up to the standard of a hotel like this. The hotel is expensive by comparison with similar hotels in the rest of Europe; but not really by comparison with central Athens hotels, which are highly priced.
