Shila is the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I have been in. Textures, colors, smells work exceptionally well. I would label it as alternative luxury - quiet, understated, whispers instead of shouting. I felt really at ease and at home there. The hotel only has 6 rooms, so it’s really quiet. The service was impeccable. They arranged lunches and dinners in great places, laundry service was super quick. I would really recommend this hotel for a couple for a romantic escape. Special thanks to Era and Nickoleta for looking after me on this stay. I will be returning to Shila sooner rather than later.

Breakfast brought to our room at no extra cost ,very thoughtfully prepared Staff young enthusiastic helpful We mostly dealt with Iliana who met us each evening and organised food and excursions She was exceptionally patient and cheerfully answered all our questions and helped in preparations for the following day’s activities . We were struck by the integrity of the establishment and felt we were in a family home with all needs being looked after This made our first visit to Greece a warm and happy experience.

We appreciated everything

The furnishings and curated artwork make it feel as though you’re spending the night at someone’s uniquely fabulous home, rather than at a hotel. There was so much personality while still remaining soft and romantic. We loved our room’s attached courtyard filled with plants and comfortable seating, and we chose to have the included breakfast there rather than the rooftop. Reception was friendly, the digital guestbook was perhaps the best I’ve ever seen (it includes everything from how to operate the coffee machine to their art catalog and even menus where the staff will order in food for you). Despite being in a vibrant part of the city, it was very quiet and felt tranquil.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. It was so clean and comfortable, it felt like home. The hotel design was romantic, unique, warm and very stylish! Located in one of the best inner city suburbs, only 20 min walk into the touristy part of Athens and the Acropolis. Our suite had a courtyard with beautiful gardens, which we sat in every morning eating breakfast and every night sipping on wine. This hotel was value for money. The staff treated us with warmth and generosity. We received a delicious fruit platter and Greek wine as a welcome. What a delight! Thank you to the staff for everything you did for us during our stay, especially Dora. She went out of her way to make us happy. Highly recommend this hotel if you want something different and a more personal and genuine service.

We stayed in Shila 5 which had beautiful rooms and quirky touches. Loved the small balcony onto the pedestrian street. Great to have two bathrooms as we were there with our children. The roof garden is a gorgeous place to have breakfast or a drink. Location is perfect, close to but not too central. Staff were super helpful, attentive and friendly.

The front bedroom (which can also just be a living room if only 2 guests) overlooked a pedestrian street which had a busy bar on Saturday night - thankfully ear plugs are provided.

Perfect hotel for a weekend in Athens! The staff are friendly and helpful, great location near lots of shops, restaurants and bars, and close enough to all the main sightseeing places. Rooms are beautifully decorated and we loved the attention to detail - option for a private breakfast in your little garden area outside the room, iPads loaded with chill Spotify playlists and lovely toiletries to use. Would definitely stay again.

I'm not sure I can find anything I didn't like about our stay at Shila. It is just beyond beautiful, and there are so many lovely items from local artisans and also lots of information on the artwork dotted around. Absolutely gorgeous aesthetic. I also loved all of the handmade shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and wished I had bought some! The staff were very professional, warm, and helpful and went above and beyond for our stay. We would definitely return and this time try to find the hidden rooftop!

Located in one of the loveliest neighborhoods of Athens and walking distance to anything you desire. I selected the garden room which was immaculate, tastefully decorated and unique with a beautiful large outdoor space. Comfortable bed. Delicious and healthy breakfast. I also loved the shower and all of the nice smelling soaps. Perhaps best of all though, was the warm welcome from the lovely staff. They went out of their way to make sure my needs were met.

I loved everything

The beds, sheets, couches and seating were all comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with eggs, croissants, fruit, honey, juice! Perfectly located: Syntagma, Ermou, Voukourestiou, Mt Lycabettus all within minutes walking distance. We went to NYX Japanese, 1 min walk away, with amazing Acropolis view! The rooftop garden was lovely and I personally loved the classic verandas looking over the quiet street below.

Retro vibes, with an artistic touch. Velvet textures, warm lights. Staying in a place like this almost feels like you are living in a poem. Comfortable beds and bathrooms. Very clean rooms. Amazing service, Adeelia and Aira, made sure we have everything we need, and were kind enough to offer us complimentary goods. Staying here, made Athens extra magical.
