We were four people (parents with two kids) staying in one of the penthouse units, and it was really perfect for us! Key words: Fantastic view from the rooftop terrace, super modern and clean apartment, well-functioning aircon and bath, functional kitchen incl. dishwasher, easy access to food (small restaurants as well as grocery shopping) right next to the entrance of the building. All key sights in Athens are within easy walking distance. The Acropolis was about half an hour away. Bonus info: Hiking to the top of Mount Lycabettus takes only about half an hour and the reward in terms of view of Athens is second to none! In particular, nice during sunset... or maybe sunrise, but we didn't try that.

We really enjoyed this stay and would recommend the location any time. However, the neighborhood was not exactly charming, but having walked around most of Athens, the truth seems to be that most neighbourhoods in Athens are rather rundown. In other words, this is just how Athens looks, and the city incl. Ippokratous 35 is nevertheless a great place for a vacation!

Easy to find, easy to access. The door code to the building and the front of the unit are super convenient. Nice since bathroom and kitchenette. The beds were comfortable. Also it’s very easy to walk to coffee shops, restaurants or to Plaka and Acropolis.

We had booked for a party of (5) and were under the impression that the living room sofa would convert to a sofa/bed but this was not the case. One of the persons in our party didn’t not have a good night of sleep due to this. Otherwise I would give this place a (10)

We really appreciated the great location and how easy it was to access everything we needed. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience smooth and hassle-free. The apartment was clean and overall well-maintained.

The space felt a bit impersonal, and the bathroom grout—particularly in the corners—could use a deeper clean. With white tile, it’s understandable that it’s hard to maintain, but a refresh in that area would make a big difference.

A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Hospitality We stayed at the Hestia Apartments on Epikourou 36 in Athens. The apartment was impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. The location is very central, with plenty of cafés and restaurants just downstairs — though it’s worth noting that it can get a bit noisy at night. The rooftop is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the Acropolis. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional service and heartfelt kindness we received from Veronica. When we arrived, we were going through a bit of a difficult time, and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and supported in every possible way. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we will always remember her for her genuine warmth and compassion. Thank you, Veronica – you made all the difference.

It is exactly as it looks in the photos! Clean, comfortable, chic, with an uninterrupted view of the Acropolis. We were the only ones on the terrace so it felt extra special. It was in a cool district, with so many coffee shops and a quick walk to everything, including our favourite bar, the Clumsies. Book the penthouse.

There was building banging work going on next door which started at 7am every day. No one’s fault and won’t be forever - it seems like a lot of rebuilding / renovating is going on in Athens. It didn’t bother us too much as we were up to see the city anyway.

The location is excellent only 400 metres from the Natrional Libary and stop for the hop off hop on buses. Excellent Pizza restuarant and Gyros restuarant within 50 metres and good local supermarket only 200 metres from the apartment. Very clean and good facilities, the view from the balcony of 601 was good plus there was the additional roof top balcony whith even better views of Mount Lycabetuus and the Acropolis.

Probably a little small when you need to use the pull out couch as a bed, but that was our choice.

Loved how clean it was. The beds were comfortable and there was water and coffee for us available. Loved that we had our own thermostats in each room to control temperature. I really liked how responsive staff was and how they let me feel comfortable knowing the information I needed. The view on the veranda was beautiful.

One bathroom was a little hard for 5 people but that is out of your control. We were provided only 4 bath towels with 5 people. The location itself was a little sketchy but once inside, we felt very safe.

Great location with lots of cafes, shops and a train station nearby. The apartment was very clean and modern. And loved the rooftop access to see the acropolis at nighttime!

No reception desk or staff to speak to (although Hestia are very quick to respond by email or WhatsApp). The door code didn’t feel very secure. Bathroom lacked hanging space and shelving. Sofa was quite uncomfortable. Would have been useful to have an instructions book with information on how to use the electric hob, dishwasher and aircon/heating. Also the UK channels on the TV didn’t work.

Location was central to restaurants and shops. Rooftop access was nice with view of Acropolis. Having a common laundry area was great as well

Communication regarding ferry transfer to the apartment was not great as we thought we had someone picking us up when we got to the Port and when contacting the company, the lady said there was no record of us being picked up. We were told they would call us back and they didn’t so we arranged our own transfer and met an awesome driver who we used a couple of times during our trip. Same when we called about the internet not working. The lady said she would call back and didn’t and found the internet was working eventually. There was a message on Whats App saying they would get someone to look at it. The bedrooms are very limited for space so very tight to move around.

Great location, walking distance to Syntagma Square etc. You can order Uber if you wish. Cafe downstairs is brilliant. There are restaurants nearby too. So we didn't cook. There is also a car park nearby. Don't be put off by the graffiti. The place is very safe. We were out every night. Athens, Greece is known for its vibrant street art scene, which includes graffiti, murals, tags, and stickers. Recommend a half day trip to visit Corinth which costs 30 Euro. Collection from hop n off bus stop which is outside the parliament at 8.20am. You can watch the guards change at 8am. We had breakfast takeaway from the cafe.

Suggest to seal the shower screen (bottom) to prevent water from escaping.
