The photographs on line attracted us to the property but they don't do it justice, particularly the pool area. It is kept spotless throughout the day and if you use sunbeds towels are provided and you are brought water within a few minutes. A number of guests are returning visitors and whilst there is a wide International mix the friendly environment passes through to the guests. The rooms are spacious - ours was - with balcony, and have everything you need to self cater on a simple basis; kettle, fridge/freezer, filter coffee maker, 2 electric hobs. For info only, there isn’t an oven/microwave or grill. Hotel arranged an airport taxi collection at a fixed and better rate than i could and are generally on hand to help you maximise the enjoyment of your stay both informally and as concierge. The location was perfect for us. 20 minutes pleasant walk from old town in a safe and hospitable residential/business environment. Local, next door, supermarket has everything and the bakery excellent as is the gyros restaurant, organic greengrocer and bars around the nearby traffic roundabout. You very quickly feel as though you are living here rather than visiting as a tourist

Behind a wonderful old Cretan house and ornate gate is a lovely, small, modern complex that is well-maintained with beautiful flowers, succulents, small citrus trees, and a swimming pool. The apartment was modern, clean and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and looked after the grounds and apartments daily. The breakfast was varied and extensive and a special treat, see photo.

The walk to the old town and organised beaches was a little further than I would have liked. I stayed in a ground-floor apartment. The outside patios faced towards the pool and the old house, and each was a clearly defined space using natural foliage to create the borders. However, as the outside area was open-plan, there was little privacy.

Generally the hotel is super clean,the staff is very friendly and always eager to assist. Also the room is nicely furnished and the bed is really comfortable. Location is perfect but it requires a bit of walking to reach the city centre but nothing a big deal. You can get a bus from the station close by.

The only thing that stood bad to me is the breakfast. It’s not the worst but even though they truly try to offer good services, I believe for a 4 star accommodation and the price it should be a bit more professional. I would suggest to hire a cook and design a breakfast menu on a per week basis with different variations that could be easy for the staff to prepare.

One of the best places we have stayed in. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the modern bathroom with a walk in shower was great. The staff were lovely and the bottle of water and glasses on the poolside tables was a great touch. The gardens were fabulous and well maintained. Having a marvellous supermarket next door was a bonus. They did a small amount of hot food and cooked chickens which was great.

We had a studio and whilst we didn’t mind the size at all, the intermittent humming of the fridge gave us very bad nights. Unfortunately we wouldn’t go back as it was a good 30/40 minutes walk into the old town and there was only one restaurant in a short walking distance to the apartments.

The place was great. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The little kitchen allowed us to make simple meals in the room. The pool was really great and allowed us, on the one hand, to go around town and then relax in the evening by the pool. Not many options of apartments big enough for a family of five that also have a pool. The place was kept clean and organized, and the staff was so helpful. On our last day, we ordered breakfast that was well prepared and offered a variety of foods. We highly recommend the place.

There was no microwave in the kitchen, which limited some of the food options we could make in our room, but we more than managed.

Me and my friend had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The room was very clean, and all the facilities were well-maintained. The location is perfect, quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to the old town, only 15 min by walk. Breakfast was also great. Overall It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the city and nearby beaches. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Very clean hotel with helpful and welcoming staff. The hotel is a bit of a tardis! The outside looks unassuming, a villa style property, but behind there are the modern accommodation blocks. Our room appeared to have been freshly decorated/ renovated over the winter period - there was a slight smell of fresh paint (not unpleasant) and the furniture seemed to be new. The communal courtyard was well maintained as was the pool - which the kids enjoyed - despite it being a bit cold in early April! Our room was very comfortable - we stayed two nights and I enjoyed sitting on our balcony with a drink enjoying the late afternoon/ evening sun after a day of visiting either Chania (centre was a 20 minute walk away - the first 10 minutes were a bit dull) or the surroundings by car. The living room was generously sized with a basic kitchenette, complete with a coffee machine and kettle and a small hob - good enough for breakfast or a simple meal. We opted for breakfast at 11 euros per person - it was totally worth it - the table could hardly hold the number of dishes and plates brought for us and included eggs, delicious greek yoghurt, toasted sandwiches, breads, pastries and jams! Everything including the juice seemed to be of good quality. Would recommend!

Beautiful small hotel in a residential street just 10-15 minutes walk from the lively centre of Chania town - with the added bonus of a substantial supermarket just next door. The hotel grounds were very pretty and well kept; the lovely sparkling pool wasn't large but perfectly adequate for the number of guests and there were always sunbeds available. The staff were outstanding - especially the housekeeping ladies who worked so hard to keep the apartments and communal areas impeccably clean and with new towels every day and bed linen changed several times a week. We felt thoroughly spoiled and would definitely recommend the Creta Elena to anyone wanting to visit the bustle of Chania town but sleep peacfefully at night.

Our studio apartment was kept beautifully clean during our stay as were the outside communal areas. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & accommodating loaning us a plug adapter, sorting breakfast when we were heading out very early on an excursion and replacing a flickering bulb within minutes of being informed. The pool area and garden areas are beautifully maintained. It’s a real oasis of calm hidden behind an extremely busy street - you genuinely don’t hear road noise at all. We opted for breakfast but the supermarket is next door so you could easily cater for yourself as many other guests did.

There was nothing to dislike - it’s a lovely property.

These are quiet, functional and really well looked after apartments (and gardens) in a superb location. The staff were friendly and the cleaners particularly worked really hard, always with a smile and a greeting. It's easy to overlook the quality supermarket next door and the lovely square to the right of Creta Elena which is on a tree-lined boulevard with fragrant Jasmine and other plants in gardens along the way.

A minor grumble would be the limited glasses and cutlery, but really I'm nit-picking for the sake of it! Nothing else to add here.
