The property is very good located related the city of Chania or taking ibto account the potential trips around the island (we recommend to visit as much as possible, the island is a plus in terms of beaches and even hiking!) There are many posibilities for spending free time, to eat like home, shoping and take absolut fantastic photos in the sunset (it is a very good spot to do this, on the beach, near the property). The property has 2 swiming pools (don’t hesitate to use them after 7pm, the water is so relaxing after a long day with excursions), but also the property has a beach (in all the area it is a Blue flag beach), warm water, sandy and a very goog price for renting sunbeds (6 euro/pair). And not the end, the staff who take care of everything and the host Giogos - an amazing person who helps us during all our vacation, at any time, including arragements for transfers from/to the airport (no matter the hour). Great location (with a clean pool, right on the beach and in between Agia Marina and Stalos, so lots of establishments at walking distance), clean rooms (every day cleaning, clean towels and sheets every other day) and great (and reachable) staff.

After a week we barely had hot showers, mostly a bit warm to even ice cold (didn't really mind though as they were refreshing after a hot day in the sun with temperatures going as high up as 38 degrees, but I can imagine other people have more issues with it), other than that we didn't really missed anything.

This was a great place for a quite and relaxing vocation. The apartment was specious and very clean with the green and beautiful garden leading towards the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Elias, who met us at the reception was very kind and helpful, even before we arrived here answering promptly our questions and also making sure our stay is pleasant and easy at Marita's Apartments. He went way and beyond to help me when I needed to use the computer for some urgent business meters and as with many other things he was there willing to help and accommodate. This is definitely a place we will come back and recommend it highly.

Staff super friendly and a credit to the place. Outdoor space was fantastic. Great secret garden feel about it. The private outdoor pool was outstanding and lit up at night. Sometimes felt like it was our own private pool. Enjoyed my evening swim. The beach bar connects the beach with the property and is privately run and deserves to be busier. Enjoyed a couple of great nights there. Yammas to Pavlo, Eva and all the staff. 😘

Rooms a bit dated and tired, this didn’t detract from our stay as the cleaners were great and came every day.

It is a little bit off a hidden treasure. The hotels area is very tropic and at least when we stayed not crowded at all. The pool seems small but its big enough for swimming and deep enough as well. The two cleaning ladies are charmant. Giorgio who i was in contact before the trip was very able and friendly and answered very quickly and sharp. All in all i think the place is special with its atmosphere and piecefullnes.

They could have inform us more how to navigate on the hotel: where are the showers, where the busses leave so on. You had to ask everything yourself. there are really loud cockroaches. Also music from the neighbouring places can be loud.

This is our second visit to these apartments, the last visit was in 2019. The apartments are spacious, well decorated and can sleep 4. Kitchenettes have fridge, two rings cooker, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and juicer, plenty of crockery, cooking utensils and crockery. All have balcony or terrance, inside seating area for 4, TV, AC, safes and included in the price. The pools, adukt and children's are set in the nice gardens set back from the beach. The pool and its poolside sun beds are only for guests. On our last visit the snack bar was closed, this time it was open, although only from midday. This is operated by an independant business (Palms) and has sun beds and table and chairs for its clients. Maria's has its own free beach sun beds and umbrellas for guests only, however this situation may change in 2023 as Palms intend taking over the whole beach area and charge Marita’s guests, we understand the intended fee is €10 per pair of sun beds and umbrella and this then gives clients a €10 credit at the bar and snack bar. This will not affect the pool side sun beds. Shops, restaurants, car hire ATMs are all within easy walking distance from the apartments. There is a large free car park in the front of the apartments. We had a light in the bathroom fail and a noisy AC from the room below ours, both were fixed the following day, so that was excellent. Hot water is very hot, but when the weather is cloudy or the apartments are full this can run out or be cooler. Wifi is free but only operates in the rooms and the immediate area and is not very fast, but is stable. Palms operate Wifi on the beach but for their customers, but doesn't reach as far as the Marita’s sun bed area. In 2019 there was a children’s play area this has now been removed, also the garden which was well maintained, but now it is now bit overgrown and a little unkempt.

Very little, perhaps the garden needs a little work.

Everything was Great. The Location is absolutely amazing I would love to come back next year. We loved every minute of our stay BUT…..Guys…..you have to invest in new materasses!! Mine was absolutely impossible to sleep on. My husband had a slightly newer one that was still not good….but he could survive for 5 nights. Mine was visibly very old…..and it was hell….untill I put 8 layers of wool plaid over it. I would definitely stay here again because the location is absolutely outstanding . But I would assure myself immediately about the matterasses…..and Not discover in the middle of the night that they are unbearable. I despise people that write negative reviews. But I also hate sleeping on bricks. Please take care of this problem

Beds

The location was really good, close to everything by feet, nice bar and staff. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, helping more than expected. The pool was really nice, clean and all the nature around it makes it better to enjoy during the day. The ac was new and strong, and in a good place in the room, making it possible to enjoy every part of the room. The balcony was big and super cozy. The beach/pool bar was amazing, they were always helpful and making sure everything was okay and safe due to our allergies.

The WiFi didn’t really work but there was so many things to do and enjoy that it didn’t make a huge difference in our vacation.

Perfect location, right in the heart of Agia Marina and next to the beach, very clean, spacious room and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

The only issue we faced was some sort of motor machine which kept making noise and we found it very difficult to sleep at night. The reception staff assured us it would get fixed right away but it never really got fixed. We were offered to switch to a bigger room away from the noise for free, but it was already the last day of our trip so we didn't have the energy. If they fix this issue, it will be perfect.

The location is great! There is a green garden and swimming pool between the rooms and the beach. The spot on the beach is nice and quiet with fine sand. Elias at the reception is super friendly and the pool bar owner as well. They make you feel welcome and like at home. You can use the sunbeds on the beach as a customer if the bar. This was my second time at Marita’s and could easily return again.

The apartment felt a little damp after the winter season. We were the first guests
