The room and bathroom were great sizes and very modern. The hotel is located in the heart of Fira which is a great location to key sights, restaurants and shops (touristy souvenirs). The host was great and it's actually used as a set in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants movie which they're very proud of! The room was very quiet which was great given how central it was. It's an easy walk to the bus station or to the main road for taxis elsewhere and you can also walk most other places to see the sights in Fira. No elevator but after check-in they helped you to the room with luggage.

The location being central means its about a 10-15 minute walk from the Fira Bus Station and it is up a lot of stairs and moderate incline on cobblestone so if you have a suitcase be prepared for a bit of a struggle but still manageable.

Rooms were very clean & comfortable. Location is wonderful, right in the heart of Fira. Staff at the desk and at breakfast were very welcoming. Breakfast was different, but lovely. It was not a buffet or a la carte, it was a breakfast platter delivered to the table w fried eggs, bacon, toast, yogurt & jans, honey, Nutella, etc. Staff made us feel very at home every day.

First impression was underwhelming. The hotel entrance doubles as a tour booking office so it feels almost like a hostile when you arrive. Once we got past that, the rooms were upstairs and very comfortable & quiet.

Hotel Asimina in Santorini offers a charming and comfortable stay right in the center of the island. Its prime location makes it easy for my wife and me to reach all the key attractions. The staff are exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist, making our stay pleasant and stress-free. Breakfast is varied and delicious, ensuring we started each day on a positive note. As seasoned travelers, we can confidently say that Hotel Asimina is the best hotel we've ever stayed in, providing an excellent balance of comfort and hospitality that made us feel right at home. We truly appreciate everyone who works there; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are extremely eager to return.

We love everything

The hotel is located very centrally in Fira town: it’s right in the middle of the shopping, restaurant and pub area. Therefore, there is always a tiny bit of street noise (only pedestrians talking or a bit of party people fun, no car traffic!). The room was very spacious, furniture & facilties (wifi, fridge, hairdryer, aircon, tv) were all well-maintained and spotlessly clean. A bonus was the balcony with chairs and a table and a view over the hotel’s restaurant and neighbourhood plus a view to the distant mountain. Checkin was fast and easy. What needs a bit of renovation is the entrance area which is partly reception, and partly tour agency and exchange office: it looks a bit untidy and unwelcoming. The shower was the hottest and biggest I had in my 3 weeks of travels .

The tiled floor carries the noise from doors closing (even when done carefully it bangs loudly) and voices in the staircase. A bit of noise cancelling door seals could help that.

Owner of the hotel is a great guy: speaks a few languages and helpful. Trying to find a solution for any question. I asked for a early bird breakfast pack cause I went to Oia before breakfast serving and looks like his wife prepared some sandwiches for me - it was really cool. Breakfast had a lot of types of jams in small packs. It's always eggs and bacon - you need to ask if you want it to be fully fried or a little less cooked.

Cleaning service: one day it has been started only at approx 2-3PM when I came back and wanted to rest while it's the hottest period of the day - cleaning service just packed beds and none of the wet cleaning. Another day some type of textile has been forgotten in my opened luggage (I left it opened) on top of my clothes.

Asimina was truly one of our favorite stays. Simple, modern and the best of all, superb Breakfast. Despite initial doubts upon seeing the hotel's exterior, which appeared to be managed by a tour operator service in a corner building, we decided to proceed as the booking was already paid for. We chose this hotel for its affordability and the appealing look of the rooms. Upon check-in, we were swiftly taken care of. The room itself was stunning, matching the pictures online, although slightly less spacious than expected. Nevertheless, it provided a cozy setting for romantic evenings in Santorini. The location was superb, situated right in the heart of the center. A mere 100m stroll led us to a breathtaking view of the sunset over the cable car line, with an array of shops nearby offering everything from food and Greek yogurt ice cream to clothing boutiques, souvenirs, and glass art. The breakfast was equally delightful, featuring a simple yet satisfying spread accompanied by coffee, tea, and juice – a highlight that we eagerly anticipated each morning. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the local bus station and McDonald's, just a 10-minute walk away, added to its convenience. On our final day, we were pleased to find that we could conveniently store our luggage at the hotel for a full 7 hours before our flight. This added convenience allowed us to explore and enjoy our last moments in Santorini without the burden of carrying our bags around. It was a thoughtful gesture from the hotel that further enhanced our overall experience. Overall, our experience at Asimina was nothing short of perfect. We look forward to staying here again in our next visit.

Location was perfect. The room was ideal, really lovely hot shower and super comfy beds. Exactly what we needed for our brief one night stay. Lovely staff, helped us to book a taxi for the next day too! Amazing value for money.

Breakfast was a little slow as we had a taxi for 8:30am booked and the women told us that the staff were 'sleeping' so we had to wait a while despite being told breakfast opened at 8am. But the food was really tasty and exactly all we needed.

A wonderful family-run hotel located right in the heart of Fira, Santorini. The hotel is managed by a warm and welcoming family who truly make you feel at home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, the location perfect, the atmosphere very pleasant, and the terrace—where the restaurant is also located—offers a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Staying at Hotel Asimina was a highlight of our trip to Santorini! This cozy, family-owned hotel offers incredible hospitality — the owners are kind, welcoming, and truly make you feel at home.
