It was probably the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. Definitely 10 points. Once we also had lunch at "On the Cliff" bar. Good food, reasonable prices. The bar was always busy, as compared to the neighboring eateries. An excellent location, it was about 50m from the stairs to the old port, you can see the cable cars from the terrace, the panorama is simply great to enjoy the sunsets. It's a pity that due to the weather conditions, we didn't manage to enjoy any of the sunsets. Responsive staff. They respond quickly to requests, we got an extra blanket as well as dishes, knives and other things we asked for. Simona manages things professionally.

The only drawback could be mentioned that the niche in the room is too small for storing things and the shelves are not designed well. By this I do not want to diminish the good impression of the hotel. It is a suggestion about what could be done better.

We visited Fira to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. We were in room 6. View was breathtaking and our outdoor space was not overlooked from above. There was really not that many steps to get down to our room from street-level (I have just returned from a trip to Cinque Terre - steps in Fira are nothing compared to those in Cinque Terre!!!!). Upon arrival and leaving, Angel (employee) so kindly dealt with our luggage. Our taxi service from the airport (which we arranged ourselves) contacted On The Cliff to state when we would arrive in the town (meeting point near Mc Donald’s) so we were met by Angel, who then (God bless him) hauled our suitcases to the appartment, which was just 2 minutes walk away - so central. The included breakfast in the restaurant on street level, just above the rooms was absolutely delicious…and the view?…well it is just stunning!!!! Simona was so sweet, she brought a bottle of local wine to our room on my daughters birthday morning. She is such an energetic, smily host. And our cleaner (didn’t get her name) does an amazing job, every day we came back to a spotless, organised room.

The only downfall of our stay was that the plunge pool is not heated. We visited in April, I’m sure if you visit during the summer the water temperature would be warmer than what we experienced. But for us sadly we were unable to use it. Would be a good idea if water was able to be heated by some type of solar system?!

The view is amazing and it’s comfortable place to stay and a starting point for our trip. The property is also nicely designed in the style of Santorini. The hotel cost also includes a breakfast and it’s excellently prepared. The location is super convenient close to the main square and the trail to the old port and cable car. At first I was very hesitant to stay here because the TripAdvisor rating is very low, but it beats my expectation. Overall I would recommend it for winter stay (not sure how well they do in the peak season).

I wish the tub is hot and the temperature is too cold to soak. Bring a bucket heater and long extension cable if you want to make it hot (check with the staff first).

The view is magnificent. The location is great. The room was lovely. Simona is very helpful. We arrived at the hotel after a 14-hour trip; we were exhausted in the morning. Simona was very friendly. She offered us breakfast, we chilled, and we had our room very soon. Thank you for this arrangement and the other tips and guidance.

The taxis are a great problem on the island. There is not much around awaiting customers. They are always busy or they are not around to find. On arrival, even though the hotel offered us a transfer for 35 euros, the taxi driver charged us 40. Very annoying. The hotel made the arrangements thereby they should be controlling the overpricing. There no criticism for the rest. The island is great so are the hotel and staff.

We stayed for 1 week in On the Cliff hotel and we loved our stay. Simona on front desk was very kind and very helpful and lovely to deal with. The staff in the bar Dennis and Usman were absolutely lovely, so polite and nothing was too much trouble. We were leaving at 5am they offered to have someone come in to help with our bags which we refused and offered to have a breakfast prepared which again we refused but Usman stayed until after we returned from our night out and left us down a selection of fruit so we would have something to eat the next morning. Simona organised tours and transfers for us and anything we asked for was no problem. The staff made the holiday for us as they were so friendly and kind. The room was spotless and just like the photos. The breakfast was fantastic there was so much we never needed lunch. Fantastic location, fantastic staff stunning view.

The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the shopping area which is wonderfully convenient. The view is unbeatable and the breakfast was excellent as well. My kids loved the cave like showers and the pool with the view. The reception was great for providing suggestions and activities and did a great job to make everyone feel at home.

I wish we could have stayed longer. Because the location of the hotel is on the cliff (as the name implies) there are really steep stairs here that are required to be taken to get to the rooms. The staff were amazing in how they were able to carry the luggage up and down (thankfully we didn't have to do it) so luggage was not an issue but do know that the stairs are steep. It was not an issue for us but those with mobility problems could struggle.

I would like to start by saying that we arrived the week that seismic activity began on the island. I can only say that in spite of that we had an unforgettable vacation thanks to all the staff of the place, especially Simona who made our stay perfect by giving us safety recommendations, places to eat and an incredible attention throughout our stay. Besides that, the room was beautiful, had a breathtaking view and everything was perfectly clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious too! So I can only tell you that I would recommend it 1000 times again and come and enjoy this beautiful place because you will not regret it. It is a safe place and close to everything that you may need. I have just come from On the Cliff and I am very satisfied with everything. The host goes above and beyond to cater to the guest needs, that includes the staff at the restaurant. The rooms are very clean, spacious and there's everything you need and more. I loved that the rooms are unique, you cant get a room like this anywhere else. We purposely chose On the Cliff to stay home and enjoy it and we did just that. It was very hot in Santorini but lucky for the pool and air con. Thank you again for welcoming me and my family and taking care of us. I will be back again one day!

The location of On the Cliff is amazing, with a spectacular view and magnificent sunset. The property is centrally located among shopping and restaurants. The private jacuzzi and cave-like atmosphere added to the experience, and the staff made our family vacation absolutely perfect. Simona was present throughout our stay, organizing transportation to and from the airport and around the island. She sat with us to discuss the island's sights, proximity, and experiences, and even arranged for individually packed meals to be delivered to our room for the day of our departure. Azar greeted us upon arrival and carried our luggage over the cobblestone sidewalks and up and down the many steep steps. Angel assisted us during our departure and made sure the car was on time and we were on our way safely. Lali did an amazing job cleaning our room, providing clean towels and fresh scents daily. Nikos & Kostas supplied us with yummy drinks, and Denis not only bused the tables, but provided friendly conversation and laughs. Angela was a breath of fresh air. She greeted us at every meal with a huge smile and warm welcome. Our meals were served efficiently with friendly conversation. Angela taught us a few words in Greek and the spelling of our names. Matthew went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Upon arrival we had a small discrepancy and Matthew jumped in immediately to rectify the issue. He continued to make his presence known by checking on us and making sure that we had everything we needed. We genuinely appreciated the attention to detail and dedication the staff made to making our stay exceptional. Thank you On the Cliff!
