It’s centrally located near all main tourists spots. It’s surrounded by great little eateries. The staff is fabulous; they are helpful and very welcoming. Excellent communication with staff before arrival. The rooms are small but comfortable. Everywhere is very clean. Bed is comfortable and there is a selection of pillows, if desired. We used the airport taxi service. The driver was lovely , and we chatted with him the entire way to the hotel. It was like visiting family, but without underlying family tensions. The breakfast was good and had a good selection from fruit to the usual European meat and cheese selection.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location in Budapest. Walking distance to all top attractions, in a busy area but off a quiet street so not much noise except late on a Friday night, but ear plugs provided. Staff were all very welcoming, check in was quick and any requests were dealt with immediately. The room was great, big size, lovely decor, comfy bed and modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice of hot, cold, sweet and savory.l and the free champagne was a bonus start to the day. Free coffee and tea and snacks all day long which was appreciated. Overall a fantastic stay!

The lift is very small, but we still managed to squeeze the baby pram in with one adult.

The hotel is situated in a quiet street, but in a live area. Around you can find a lot of coffee shops and restaurants. Room was spacious and comfortable, in a very good condition. Also with a large shower/toilet. Our room was at the back in a closed yard, but cleverly they use a large printed illustration that make you feel is a large building opposite you. Breakfast has a good variety, and some things change by day. The ability to use the coffee machine 24/7 (or have various teas) with biscuits, is a good touch if you want to relax downstairs. The hotel is not large, but is cosy. One of also good reasons to stay is that near and around there are accessible means of transportation with short distance walking (bus, tram, metro) that from there you can visit Budapest for sightseeing. Definitely the hotel will stay on our list.

Not that is "don't like".. The known problem in hotels and this kind of facilities with the smell in the bath, especially if is left with closed door. In this case the smell was quickly dissappear when the door was left open for a while. Can't find something else as "dont"..

We were so happy with the amazing hotel and couldn’t believe we’d found such a hidden gem. It was exceptionally spotless from the seating area outside the front to the check in area, dining/breakfast area, halls and bedroom/bathroom. Everywhere looked and felt like a brand new hotel and nothing was too much trouble. Staff went above and beyond to help with finding the best travel options to visit an attraction we had in mind to visit. Aron in particular was so extremely helpful in planning an adventure for my daughter to visit her dream castle which involved trains/taxi’s and help with translating for taxi companies in different towns etc. We can not fault a single thing and wish we had been staying here for longer than a two night stay. We will absolutely want to return here! Thank you so much everyone at the Ambra hotel.

No really a fault but it would be lovely to have something sweet available for breakfast that caters for a gluten free diet. Such as a gluten free option of croissant or pastry as a treat on holiday.

The receptionist in the lobby as well as the rest of the staff at the hotel was welcoming, polite and helpful and did his best to help guide us and make our stay enjoyable The breakfast was wonderful, tasty and varied The atmosphere in the dining room creates a particularly pleasant sense of intimacy The dining room staff were exceptionally polite and helpful

It was a bit warm in the room and the air conditioner did not work because the air conditioning is central and the hotel switched to winter mode The hotel staff made sure to provide us with a fan in the room which made it a little easier We would be happy if the air conditioning could be activated at this time of the year as well

The room was very spacious, water pressure amazing, quite street. The location was exceleent, we didn't use public transportation but walked everywhere. The breakfast was really good and the breakfast staff were very kind. It was nice to have coffee and tea during the day free of charge. They have a pillow menu which we have used and was great. Room was cleaned every day.

We really liked our stay and we would stay there again. For feedback here's what we think needs to be improved: Seems minor and totally subjective but we really didn't like the decor (for example, artificial flowers on the shower sink and in the hallway). Also, based on the reservation on booking.com the shower was supposed to be a walk-in shower, half open. We got one which was fully closed, a bit dated.

Probably the best hotel in the central part of Budapest I have stayed at recently. Good price quality ratio, pleasant atmosphere, clean and warm room with everything you might need, rich and tasty breakfast with a glass of sparkling wine if you wish. 24 hour access to free non alcoholic drinks and some snacks. About 5-7 min walk to the Airport bus/ metro station.

Our room was rather small but I guess it is ok if your stay is short. The door to the bathroom was kind of flimsy and not at all soundproof. Because of the long table it was difficult to reach the window and open it for some fresh air.

Location was fantastic to go site seeing and staff were very helpful and friendly. I was worried about what our room would be like having a room for 3 however it was perfect. The third bed even had its own side room which was divided by curtains. Walk in wardrobe and lovely and clean. We were next to the lift and worried it would be nosey however we didn’t hear a thing. Thank you for a great stay.

Breakfast could have had more variety however there was always toast and a selection of pastries and yoghurt

Lovely comfortable room, and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection of food at breakfast buffet, and even a glass of champagne! Nice location, 5 minute walk from opera house.

Hospitality tray in room not replenished daily, several times had to go down to reception to get coffee sachets and fresh carafe of water as none left. One day we were out for over 5 hours and on return room not cleaned and no fresh towels

Quiet location but close to transport links, main attractions and lively restaurants or side street bars. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet set you up for the day, a mix of local and continental choices, hot and cold. Coffee and tea all day with prosecco in the morning.

Only one TV channel in English and that was German news. Foam mattress is hot to sleep on and air con is not quite enough to help you sleep.
