Our hotel room was great and cleaned daily. The staff were very helpful, offering us tips for our trip in Budapest along with a map of recommended places to visit. They also provided toiletries like shampoo and toothbrushes, which was really convenient.
Just a heads-up: breakfast is not a buffet but rather a set menu with three options-sandwiches, waffles, or porridge. If you prefer a wider variety, I wouldn't recommend including the breakfast. The room is on the smaller side, so I wouldn't recommend having breakfast in the room-it's a bit cramped for that.

I loved staying at Metropolis hotel, it was perfect, from the real kindness and friendliness of the staff to the accommodation. We spent 4 nights in the inventor of the Rubik's Cube room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great and all was very clean. The situation of the hotel was good too, you can walk to many attractions from there but there are public transport options nearby too. Nice shops and places to eat nearby too. The staff was really lovely and gave us some very good tips for our stay. We really appreciated the fact that they looked after our luggage on checkout as our plane was in the evening. Thanks so much for making our stay so nice, I won't have to waste time to look for an accommodation next time I visit Budapest, I will stay here again!

This was my second stay at Metropolis Budapest Hotel, and once again, everything was perfect! The location is excellent, just a short walk from all the main attractions, shops, and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The girls at the reception are extremely friendly, professional, and helpful – they really make you feel welcome. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, cozy, clean, and comfortable. On our last day, we were also able to store our luggage for the whole day, which was very convenient. I truly love staying here and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest!

I booked the Metropolis for its unique themed rooms, and it absolutely delivered. We were given the Bartok room (1911), which provided a nice view of the internal courtyard and a short walk to the reception. The room was thoughtfully laid out with some nice touches including a little "newspaper" providing information on the famous composer, and the facilities were great including the slippers and comfortable bath robes. Breakfast was fantastic and served in our room in the morning, and was delicious. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the receptionist when we checked in was super helpful with her recommendations of local sights and restaurants. We went to one of the recommended restaurants (Korhely) which was just around the corner on Lizst Ferenc tér, and were not disappointed. The Metropolis is perfectly located, just around the corner from Király utca which takes you down to the central hub at Deák Ferenc tér, and Jokai utca which takes you to the grand Andrassy utca. Public transport is really convenient, and you can catch a bus to the centre from nearly Oktogon and tram number 4 which takes you to Margaret island and across the river to Buda. Budapest is one of our favourite cities, and in the Metropolis we have found the perfect location for comfort, convenience, ambience and cost. We will definitely be back!
Everything was spot on, and it is hard to find anything that we didn't like!

The location was great. It was in a quieter part of the city within a primarily residential building. It's close to public transportation, but walking to many tourist sites was also easy. The hotel has a lot of character (I mean that in a good way). I love that the rooms are named after years and themed around historical figures related to Hungary. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.
I would have liked a more functional desk area. There was a chair next to one of the shelf areas, but the lighting was too dim to write there.

The rooms were very well decorated. Very clean. Excellent housekeeping. Very polite staff.
It was a little bit cold. And it's too dark in the inner yard when I go out in the evening.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! The interior is beautiful, everything was perfectly clean, and breakfasts were delicious. What impressed me the most was the reception team – they were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They recommended great places to visit, and their friendliness made my stay unforgettable. I am truly delighted with this hotel, it exceeded all my expectations, and I will definitely come back!
Nothing to mention – everything was perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The courtyard is set up as an improvised garden with flower pots, creating a charming entryway. It was pleasant to walk from the street through this lovely space and arrive at a vintage-style, cozy reception area. Anasztazia welcomed me warmly and was incredibly helpful. She gave me great recommendations for things to do around the city, which I really appreciated. Each room in the hotel has its own theme, which is a unique and fun concept. My bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The blanket was a bit thinner than I prefer, so the room felt slightly chilly at times. Although an air conditioner was available, I opted to use only the regular heating, which didn’t completely warm up the space.
The bathroom could use a little extra attention, as I noticed some spider webs. It wasn’t a big issue, but a quick touch-up would make the experience even better.

Wonderful little hotel that has designed their rooms with a good eye for atmosphere and for the balance between old rundown and new charm. The hotel is in the middle of the citycentre, the famous café New York is nearby, as are all kinds of bars and little restaurants all the way from sleezy to chique (yes, that famous 'ruin bar' is also nearby) Bus station just out of this street on the big one, the subway line 1 (red line)m a little further. The hotel is part of a bigger building and is reached through a courtyard -the ringer is a bit above the rows of ringers for the Budapest citizens that also live in the (huge) building. The rooms face out to the street but it was not as noisy as I had feared. traffic basically dies down after 23:00.
Breakfast is limited; two choices basically. You tell the hotel staff beforehand which one you'd like. I did not dislike that at all, it was a good, tasty breakfast, but if you are looking for something with more choice, a café in the neighbourhood is a better option.
