I would recommend this hotel. The Staff was great the front desk people and the people from the restaurant at the beach, always attentive and with a big smile to give that we appreciated. We needed the breakfast one of the days earlier to take away and they happily helped with not problem. The location and the hotel in general are very nice, quite place in the island and near to the sunset spots

The first night the bed sheets were not proper cleaned, the pillows didn’t smell well, we advised next day and they changed it and all was fine. The third day they didnt make the room, it was not bad but it would have been good to know that we needed to advise abt the need of the cleaning

The hotel itself is in my opinion, one of the best spots in the Island. It has its own part of the beach and you can have your breakfast there with your feet in the sand and overlooking the beautiful blue sea. It was truly magical. The staff were amazing and did everything in their power to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The lady at the reception is so sweet and attentive to my fussy ways. The staff make the stay even more wonderful. Please tip them as they work hard and long hours. Every bit helps. It is a half an walk from the harbour but everything from a free outdoor cinema to some lovely restaurants are all quite walking distance. I will definitely be returning.

The hotel though modern is slightly dated but the owner is refurbishing in November 2025. It is a great stay and brilliant value for money.

Great location. The room had all the comforts, including a tank of filtered water which was very handy. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The beach has a nice bar/restaurant and we had breakfast on the beach. There are sunbeds and its a great spot for sunrise. The sea is quite rocky, but turtle point is about 15 minutes walk and it's worth for swimming and snorkeling. Some days we rent a bicycle for about £2 per day. The staff is really helpful, Anggun was amazing and she helped us booking snorkeling or anything else we needed. But everyone was very friendly and helpful. There is a cinema next resort that shows a nice range of films, from Nemo and Coco, to Pulp fiction or Fight club. For everyone.

There were some works done at the resort, which is understandable but sometimes it was noisy at night.

I would definitely advise to anyone to stay here: green and cosy territory, excellent swimming pool, big room with everything you need, convenient terrace to spend time if the weather is not so good, convenient location-in the centre of this side of the island. Two minutes walk to the shops, parties, open air cinema etc. The best place to see sunset. We were impressed by friendly and helpful team, Anggun, Ali and others , we get to know from them much about life in Indonesia and here on Gili. We’re really grateful to Dori for all his attitude, all his stories and significant assistance in what we need!

Accommodating staff, treating us well and were fun to chat with. Our booking came with breakfast included. Ate on the beach in the mornings with fast service. Breakfast was average. No complaints. Note - the beach bean bag chairs are free to use if you stay here. No need to buy drinks to use them. At sunset is when the mala garden bar makes its money so they will make sure you buy a drink or just tell them you are staying there. Rooms have a large jug of water in them. Wonderful touch!

The lobby area fountain pools could use a cleaning. The resort needs a little maintenance. But overall was clean.

Staff is super friendly, room is huge and clean, plus bonus the open air toilet. Breakfast is delicious and it’s served on the beach. I heard other tourists getting annoyed for not having orange juice however this tropical island with no orange trees, stick with fresh local products which are just perfect. I had dinner twice at the Mala and it was very good, fish is super tasty as I expected. Special mention to the receptionist Dennis and the beach bar waiter Lee always with a smile and happy to help.

Needs a bit of exterior maintainence but not a must for me as I prioritise cleanliness.

The accommodation was better than we imagined. Vila Mango consists of two bedrooms, a living room with a mini kitchen and a private pool. It's an excellent option for families. The accommodation was very clean and organized. We forgot an iPad in the room and only remembered when we were on our way back to Bali from Gili. The hotel staff were able to return it to us in Bali promptly. The hotel staff are to be congratulated for their warmth and friendliness. I recommend the Mala Garden hotel. When we return to Gili, Hotel Mala Garden will be our first choice without a doubt.

Everything was excellent. We liked everything.

So beautiful exit to the beach. We enjoyed so much each breakfast we had on the beach. Sunset from here is the best sunset on the island, lazy bags make it more confortable. Having dinner here is also very nice. Very nice garden with big pool looking into the see. Room was big enough and clean. Aircondition was working very well. All stuff was so kind to us. It is possible to rent a bike in hotel.

As our room was on ground floor, and our private bathroom was in a way on the open, maybe some fan in the bathroom would be good idea to make it cooler when people are in the room, as we turn on aircondition but when go in bathroom it is hotter then in the room

Own private pool, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location on the west side of the island so you get great sunsets and is away from the busy night bars on the east of the island. Open air cinema at next hotel which was great that anyone can enjoy.

Not hotels fault but because the lounge/dinning area is not closed off from the outside it is prone to mosquitoes. Make sure you have bug spray.

The villa was huge with very comfortable beds. The pools were very nice and quite big. The breakfast was a la carte, we tried all the options and they were enough and yummy. The staff was very kind, always smiling and positive attitude. It was worth every cent.
