The staff were very friendly and helpful from beginning to end, especially with our parking needs. We loved the great self-serve coffee/tea/hot chocolate machines that had no limit! It was lovely to be outside the busy center of Dublin where we had already stayed at the beginning of our trip, and be in a neighbourhood where everyone we met at local pubs were from nearby, and so welcoming and friendly. No one ever seemed fed up with the tourists, which you don’t find everywhere these days:)). Also, the hotel is conveniently close to the airport, an easy short drive to return our rental car, didn’t take 15 minutes.
Nothing comes to mind

I spoke to the housekeeping girls that I met in the corridor when we were on our way downstairs. I said that we were in rooms 111 and 108. They looked worried and expecting a complaint. The look on their faces changed when I said I wanted to thank them for a spotless room and facilities - which was nothing short of the truth. The rest of the hotel was equally clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I have been a chef in the catering and hospitality sector for nearly 60 years now and couldn't find ANYTHING that I didn't like Thank you

The hotel was great. Room was clean, tidy and had all I needed. Food service was prompt and staff were keen to assist with anything that might be required.
Parking. At the site there is space for maybe 7-8 vehicles, and I couldn't get parked when I arrived, or at any point later on into my stay. Whilst there is on street parking, this was also full, and I ended up parked in the Swords Plaza multistorey car park about 5 minutes walk away which although fine, was chargeable, and I could not use the parking permit issued upon checking in to park in the hotel itself. Not a huge problem for me, although the car park I parked in closed at midnight, so if I had had a later arrival time into Swords, I am not sure where I would have been able to park.

The breakfast was good and cost-effective. The location was great. It was right across from a very big mall. The staff was very helpful and friendly!!
The check-in experience was not good for me. In the US we check-in at a reception desk, not at the bar. Also, you don’t pay for your room until you check out, not all money upfront. To me that speaks volumes on how confident you are of your customers hotel experience, which is none if you make them pay up front. I also did not like that you had to walk up to the counter and order your food and pay upfront yet again not giving the customer an opportunity to experience the food and then pay. Those two experiences really put a sour taste in my mouth.

The room was comfortable and a good size. Location is excellent, 15 minute bus ride from the airport and 10 minutes by car. It's on main street so buses into town are right there, and so are shops, pubs and restaurants. Shower head was really good, wish I had it at home. The pub downstairs has lots of room to hang out and it's available all the time
Our room had a balcony but it was blocked off and we couldn't access it. The pillows weren't great. Our key card kept losing it's power and we had to renew it several times which was annoying. We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. If you have limited mobility, I would ask if there are alternatives. Staff were nice but not the most helpful. Lastly, the pub downstairs is good for a drink, but not for food. Just go to one of the places on the street there are lots. There isn't Guinness in the pub which I didn't think was legal in Ireland 😉 Much more good than bad.

The young staffer working the night shift was so kind! Our flight from Barcelona was delayed by over two hours and we arrived at the property at 2am. He showed us to our room and provided a warm, much appreciated welcome. The property was right in the center of Swords and easily walkable to the castle, pubs, and coffee shops. We would definitely stay here again!
Nothing to complain about here. The property provided everything we needed and was a short drive from the Dublin airport. The Swords Castle is lovely! Make sure to pay a visit while staying here, the restored chapel is magnificent.

5 minutes from airport location in village made it easy to see local site and visit local taverns Old historic building had exterior charm Renovated room had modern amenities, including a soft comfortable mattress Staff was super charming and helpful
Restaurant/tavern was closed due to flood in basement, so we were unable to sample the breakfast or other food The outside door was kept locked and we had to ring to enter the building The signage for the meals was a bit tacky; it made me not inclined to dine there if it had been open. The tavern decor was also a little on the cheap side

The room was clean and tidy, with some lovely biscuits and separately packed drinking water. Bathroom was adequate with good sized towels and toilet paper. Shower was in-bath and the bath for me was narrow. water was hot for shower and both hand and shower dispensers were good. Range of television channels available on a reasonably sized screen. Bed was a bit old and not to my liking but we were given prior options for set up, my choice was as a double. Breakfast not included in price of room was value for money.
Could not get warm in the bed for some reason.

Spacious bedroom, good shower. Helpful staff on arrival.
Only thing I didn’t like was that I ordered porridge at breakfast and it was presented as runny hot milk over uncooked oats. I don’t normally complain in hotels, but when presented with a second bowl of porridge the milk was hotter but the oats still had not been cooked, the oats lay stuck together across the top of the hot milk. I have never had porridge like it in any other hotel

Did not participate in breakfast due to timing of our flight, but the location was great. Very walkable to all sorts of restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. 10 minute drive to the airport. The room itself was very quaint and inviting, love the vaulted ceilings and spaciousness.
Check in process was a little chaotic. We had to go back and ask for a parking pass, as it was not automatically provided. Interrupting bar service was uncomfortable, we felt like there needed to be someone full time for reception. Also, no one told us we needed to insert our room key to get the lights working, so that was a bit frustrating.
