Cute and hotel like (in a good way). The owner was super friendly. Great room and it was clean/comfy. Would stay here again! Really liked the guest book with recommendations and helpful info.
Can hear a decent bit through the walls, but nobody was super loud. I just realized it after I had my morning alarms go off around 5 AM and then I heard a neighboring guest shuffle around a little (felt bad I may have woken them up, but they did not complain). The tea kettle had a little bit of remnants left from a prior stay. Wish there was a way to grab some kind of breakfast outside of regular hours. This is nitpicky stuff in case it helps, I honestly loved the place.

Hillview House was one of the best places we’ve stayed! It’s in a quiet spot with just a few houses around, which made it feel really peaceful. I was there with a group of friends and we all really enjoyed it. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. There’s a small bar with drinks like beer and whiskey, and even a TV if you want to watch football. You can also order local food for delivery—the menu is right there at the bar. The rooms were spotless, the beds very comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well kept. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. It’s run by a lovely family, and there’s free parking too. Honestly, it deserves 5 stars—I’d give it more than 10 if I could!

One of the best stays we’ve had! Hillview House is in a quiet area with just a few houses around, which actually made it feel really peaceful and relaxing. I stayed here with a group of friends and we all really enjoyed our time. The staff were super friendly and the service was excellent—very professional, better than many B&Bs we’ve stayed in. There’s a small bar with drinks like beer and whiskey, plus a TV if you want to watch football or just relax. You can even order local food for delivery—the menu is at the bar, which is a great idea. The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. Breakfast was delicious, the place is run by a lovely family, and there’s free parking too. Honestly, it deserves 5 stars—we would rate it higher than 10 if we could!
Everything was perfect 😍

This is a cross between a traditional B&B and a boutique hotel. This rambling set of buildings is located in a really quiet and picturesque area with some lovely beaches a short drive away. We were recommended to visit Red Island, Skerries and Mulahide Harbour, both were excellent. Our room was really comfortable and a hearty breakfast the next morning set us up for the day. Our host, John, could not have been more welcoming.
There was a consistent drip, drip, drip noise coming from the guttering (I think) right outside the room and for me it was difficult to tune it out. Also, for our room anyway, although we could connect to the WiFI the signal was pretty weak so resorted back to using data. Just minor in the scheme of things.

The house is awesome, as the rooms, which are silent at night. Staff is very kind and polite. Breakfast is great, a fantastic Full Irish breakfast! The outdoor area looks nice, even if unfortunately we could take advantage of it, due to the weather.
Nothing really, just a side note: if your room is close to the breakfast area, be aware that you'll hear noises from the moment breakfast starts (8am). This obviously makes and it's part of game, no big deal. I suppose some earplugs will fix it!

Spacious, clean and comfortable room, with the added bonus of being able to log into your own Netflix account.. a great help keeping the little one occupied. Great traditional breakfast with plenty of choice, even for children, Niall loved the fruit bowl. Very friendly and helpful hosts, even helped to order pizza, nothing was too much trouble.
There is nothing that we did not like about Hillview House.

The owners were really sweet and lovely. We paid extra for the warm breakfast and they are not stingy with the servings, so I would recommend. She also gave my daughters some extra Easter eggs she had (since we were there a few days after Easter). The room was clean and quiet. It was about a 15 minute drive to the airport and there's a gas station on the way to refill the rental car.
Only thing I can think of is that the shower didn't drain super well.

We chose to the stay here the night before we were leaving Ireland because of its closeness to the airport. It was a 15 minute drive to dublin airport. The rooms were spacious, bathrooms were nice and there was a lovely bar where you could sit in the evening. There was also a nice outdoor space to sit. There was complimentary tea and coffee with real milk and a couple of biscuits in the room. The proprietor was very nice and accommodating and provided us with ice from her own freezer when asked.
I’m not sure about the location. There didn’t seem to be anything in Lusk and I can see no reason to stay there if it wasn’t to be near the airport.

Hillview House is a family run business and he entire family is very kind. Leo, his daughter, son in law, are very easy to work with and we wanted to stay an additional time as the days got closer to St. Patrick's Day, but they were booked solid. You will definitely enjoy your stay here at Hillview House. The breakfast is delicious, with eggs, toast, jam, butter, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, all healthy and filling. The rooms are big and comfortable with luxurious beds, spacious showers, and a heated towel rack!
I think people will need to figure out, if they are using public transportation, how to get to and from the City Centre in Dublin as there is a train available. I am lucky my friend had a car but not all tourists will have that option of a known person living in Dublin with a car. Hillview House is located about 15 - 17 miles from the Dublin City Centre and at night, the roads leading from Dublin City Centre to Hillview House is very dark, surrounded by lots of brush / grass / and can be very difficult to navigate by foot or on public transportation. If you have a car and a GPS system in the car on your phone, this is the best way to reach Hillview House.

The house is in a lovely position in the countryside but near to Dublin and the sea. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated and was sparkling clean. Breakfast was lovely and an added bonus was the bar where we had an enjoyable end of day drink. Our hosts were delightful and we look forward to returning next year.
Nothing.
