Great area opposite Machane Yehuda Market and close to public transport. Room was well equipped, nice view.

The staff was awful. Unprofessional and unfriendly, one of the ever changing people even tried to cheat. If everything goes well you don’t see much of them. But beware if you need anything. My door didn’t lock and instead of finding a solution the girl at reception just laughed loudly and told me that „we kill people but we don’t steal from them“. Training and change of staff would be great.

Absolutely amazing location in one of the most special, typical areas of Jerusalem - the market and Nahlaot - and highly accessible by public transport to most other interesting places. The studio flats are great to be in, convenient and clean with a useful kitchen, and the building itself is unusual and lovely.

The market being a market, I assume there would sometimes be noisy things going on. Being on the top floor helped. Then again being on the top floor with no lift isn't for everyone. Better light-blocking curtains on the skylight above the beds and on the entrance door would be nice. Two things that could be safety issues - the awkward little steps going up to the reception desk, and the quaint but slightly scary setup used to open and close the skylight.

I always try and stay in the Market Courtyard when I am in Jerusalem because it is perfect for everything I need and is well situated. The accommodation provides clean, comfortable rooms, decent self-catering facilities, nice comfortable lounge area, good central location for Jerusalem - near Jaffa Street / Agrippas and Machane Yehuda Market. On this visit, I arrived several hours before I was due to check in and although I offered to pay for early check-in I was told I could check in early without needing to pay an additional charge which I thought was very kind and which I very much appreciated.

I stayed 8 nights but was not provided with sufficient toilet paper Also would have appreciated having a few extra clean towels

Location was excellent! Close to bus, light rail off JAFFA St. & right across from Mahne Yehuda Market. Super clean, air conditioning worked great & so did hot water shower timer. Directions to find hotel were very good & detailed. Nice array of shampoo & body wash to use. The property had a small kitchen with a fridge & microwave. It was quiet & the beds were very comfortable. It was a basic room, but perfect for our needs at a reasonable cost. We will return!

We had to carry luggage up three flights of stairs as there is no elevator. You can pay more for a room on the ground floor. The neighborhood is a not a tourist community & so we struggled a little to find English speakers to assist when needed. The neighborhood felt safe though.

The internal space between the 18 rooms has a charm to it. The room-doors also have their character. The kitchen was equipped with some kitchen utensils: a pan, a pot, plates. The room was clean. The location near the market can be very useful. Rooms have small balconies. Hot water, shampoo, soap and towels provided. Everything in this old building works - and that's good.

Parking is expensive and at least a 2 minute walk away, I stayed on the third floor, had to climb 3 floors by stairs. The angled roof means you get less head-space above the beds. However, these disadvantages weren't deal breakers for me

An ancient building with a beautiful inner courtyard in a very central location in front of the Mahane Yehuda vibrant market. This small hotel has a magic of authenticity that is hard to find these days. If you are looking for luxury then this is probably not your place. The rooms are basic but they have everything you need. I've stayed in this hotel 3 times and was always very satisfied. It's a great value for money!

Great location, right next to the Mechane Yehuda Market, with a good connection to the Central Station. Very nice and helpful staff. Spacious, clean, includes a kitchen annex. Beds vere comfortable. There was always a hot water. My windows faced a back alley, so it was quiet at night, with a nice view.

Wifi connection was poor. There is a big construction site nearby, and the noise from it starts at 7am daily.

We booked this hotel last minute in the evening at around 21:00. Everything flowed so smoothly. They keep keys in a safe outside the main door so you can access the hotel at any hour, super convenient. Great value for money. Room was really clean and had lots of extra blankets and pillows. We arrived on a cold, raining night so the heater in the bathroom really was wonderful! They had tea/coffee making facilities and a kitchen with a stove and oven. They also had plates/pots/cutlery/cups etc. Balcony with chairs and a table. Large living room area. Honestly we were so pleased with the whole experience. And the location-perfect! Right opposite machena yehuda! Centre centre!

I really like the idea of having a shared small garden on the first floor where one can take a break and relax.

If a ventilation system or exhaust fan could be installed in the bathroom, it would help to reduce the amount of moisture after showering and prevent difficulty in breathing. Similarly, having a range hood and spice rack in the kitchen would provide added convenience for guests to use the kitchen for cooking.

Exceptional nice old building. Central location, next to a hip market. The room is nice and large. The patio should be nice in summer.

The bathtube is a little overused or unclean, i could not decide. The tiled floor should be pleasant in hot weather, in January it is extreme cold - a carpet would habe been appreciated. The convertible air-con was used for heating, it was very noisy.
