This hotel was the perfect choice for our first-time (6 day) family visit to Jerusalem. We loved its authentic vibe and location but most of all we were impressed by the exceptional efforts of the staff to make our stay a success. They helped us make bookings, organized transportation, and even made sure a complimentary meal was waiting for us when we returned on a Friday evening from a daytrip being unaware most restaurants would be closed that evening for Sabbath. I have only experienced this kind of dedicated service in high luxury hotels. Although I rarely write hotel reviews, I gladly make an exception in this case: these guys deserve the accolades!

Wonderful historical place, so many interesting things to watch here. Clean, friendly. There were all we needed in bathroom and room (towels, shampoo, slippers, TV, pen, notebook, AC, tea, coffee, cookies, milk). Vouchers for breakfast in nearby cafe. Cosy little yard with many antics things. Thanks staff!

The hotel was like a wonderful oasis in a desert. The decor is old style as the rooms. Impeccable clean and comfortable rooms, the seating area outside was lovely and the locations was a bonus for two very curious tourists from Scandinavia who appreciated the experience of staying in the middle of orthodox quartier in Jerusalem. We will definitely return.

Nothing to complain about. The reception was closed during sabbath day but the made it up by leaving a loaf of very tasty bread in every room.

The room had an amazing private courtyard that we spent hours in. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was right in the heart of geula extremely convenient

Being there so long the kitchenette did not lend itself to being able to cook, only heat up food.

Felt very cozy, and warm. A lot of history and antiques. 15 mins walk from downtown Jerusalem. Would like to say thanks to Esther for being very attentive and helpful during check in. Over all good value for money.

Parking might take a while to find. Also the hotel is in center of ultra orthodox neighborhood.

Great location- a lot going on all around. Only 3 minutes to malchei Yisroel, the “1” bus to the Kosel, and all the shops and eateries. A minyan (factory) on the block. Also very good customer service, and extremely helpful for all our needs.

Staff were amazing, super helpful. Location was great for me, in the heart of Meir Shorim neighborhood. Room was small and furnished with antiques. Room was very Clean. Genuine Israeli living experience.

Rooms are small. Neighborhood is noisy, but very safe.

Very friendly, helpful, relaxed, close to the city centre and historic Old City, full of curios and interesting objects, lovely bohemian feel to the place, good room facilities, loved the casual and random ad-hoc food that was available. Very happy we went there.

Noisy outside at night with car horns and general street unrest, though this may have been because of national elections which were underway. Noise completely died off around midnight. Hotel is in an ultra-orthodox area and whilst the locals weren't in the least bit hostile there is a slight sense you're intruding when you're first there. However as long as you act respectfully it's fine and you soon feel comfortable.

Friendly and helpful staff, great interior, even free snacks and tea/coffee for guests. The room had plenty of amenities and consumables, which covered anything you could possibly need.

The sound from the street - traffic is extra loud in Jerusalem as everybody honks their car horns all the time and it can be very frustrating until 8-9 pm when traffic calms down. Even when the windows are closed, the sound is still pretty annoying, maybe the hotel could invest in better soundproof windows. Otherwise, everything else was great about the hotel.

Love the interior of hotel. Lots of old items and decorated nicely The woman at the "front desk" was very nice. Received new towels and amenities daily. Hotel is about .7 miles to King David Street through an Orthodox neighborhood. We enjoyed the walk each day. It was also about 1.3 miles walk to the Western Wall and all the sites of Old Jerusalem. We never take taxis and walk everywhere. There is a train on King David that has one line and goes north and south which helps people that don't want to walk.

There is no sign on the hotel stating that it is a hotel. We got there at night using a sherut from Ben Gurion Airport and he knew where the hotel was. Could be hard to find. Constant noise day and night from cars and their horns, and street cleaners/garbage trucks. If you are a light sleeper this will be a problem. The internet was slow, sometimes painfully slow.
