Beautiful quiet location with amazing facilities. Lovely to be away from the noise of the city centre. Very clean and spacious room. Loved the swimming pool and the views from the terrace at sunset.

The restaurant and bar were lovely but a little over priced. Would have been great to have more variety of smaller more casual, cheaper dining options - club sandwiches, pizza etc as well as the more formal restaurant. The taxis to and from Florence ended up being quite expensive over a couple of days. The air conditioning unit in our room was also quite noisy but we kept it on because it was so hot!

Room was perfect size and cleaned. But I am missing conditioner in the shower. Breakfast excellent and location is perfect!

Villa Tolomei is like no other, it sits on top of a hill overlooking Florence. With the perfect pool area with a view and it's surroundings, plus the most wonderful members of staff who make it even more special. The grounds are immaculate, the property is beautiful, rooms are large. The breakfast is as you would expect at this standard of hotel, and the lunch and evening restaurant cooks fresh divine food. The city is a perfect 5 minute taxi ride. This was our second stay with many more to look forward to.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS VILLA... We were worn out after three days in Roma, then three days in Venice we arrive by train into busy Florence and our taxi driver brings us to this beautiful oasis just outside the city... surrounded by olive groves and Tuscan countryside My wife actually cried upon walking around... it's so beautiful

I stayed 3 nights with my wife, very friendly staff especially Mr. Adel who was very helpful and at our service when ever we needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast, the view was magnificent seeing the city from the top. Huge area where you can walk around between the bushes. I would give it 5 stars ⭐️ Note: if you go by your car make sure to follow the directions provided by the hotel staff to avoid using the very narrow road (to get to the hotel by car passing through Piazzale di Porta Romana and Via Ugo Foscolo)

Big size bathroom but small shower space is very small.

Helpfull staff at front desk and the young man looking after the luggage /service very helpful. Staff at night in the restaurant very friendly and the young lady with excellent service and English language :) The villa is situated in a quiet area.

Over all a little bit aged villa,some furniture pieces and carpets might need to be replaced. I am aware that it would take a huge amount of money to do this as the villa has a certain age. The location itself is priceless, the gardens simply superb.

The grounds that the property are located on are absolutely stunning. From the moment you arrive to the wonderful driveway lined with stunning trees, you really get that ‘wow this is Tuscany’ feel. The pool and grounds are immaculately maintained and we absolutely loved the modern artistic twists. The breakfast / dining room is truly one of the nicest places to sit and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine in the whole of Italy. The staff were all absolutely fabulous but we must say that Maria & Daniel are truly a 5* part of your service. Both absolutely gorgeous, lovely and kind people who genuinely could not have done enough to make sure we were happy and pampered.

The room service menu is extremely, extremely limited and, whilst we can’t speak for other guests, it would’ve been nice to have a few more slightly simplistic and basic options - such as a sandwich and some lighter bites.

Excellent service overall, quality selection at breakfast and all staff was very thoughtful. Nice welcoming gifts, including a bottle of their own-making Rosé wine, fruits and chocolate snacks. Particularly happy to receive an email instructing me to come from Porta Romana instead of following the GPS, which would have led me to extremely narrow and pretty dangerous country roads.

Just a tiny suggestion to make it ever perfect: since any groceries are only accessible by car or taxi, mainly taxi because parking in Florence is basically the cost of a hotel room for the car, providing daily bottle of complimentary water in the room would be a more appropriate fit to the level of the hotel.

The place was great! Very big villa with different outbuildings. Quiet with lovely landscape and comfortable beds and rooms.

Some areas of our room were a little tired for a 5*. But didn’t ruin our stay! Around the shower had a buoy of grime and mould, not what would be expected for a 5* However. The staff could be a little more attentive at Breakfast. Would still recommend

The tranquil location and beautiful grounds really are most peaceful and relaxing. Staff are most gracious and helpful . Pool lovely with gentle breeze to keep you cool . Gym adequately equiped . Good selection at breakfast and restaurant good with lovely wines .
