This small boutique hotel strikes the perfect balance between the charm of an Airbnb and the convenience of a well-run hotel, without any of the usual Airbnb hassles like cleaning duties or waiting around for someone to let you in. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. A special shoutout to Sylvia, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She even allowed us to check in early, which made our arrival so much smoother. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with a stylish, cozy atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, much larger than what you'd typically expect in central Florence. Breakfast was great, served around a large communal table that encourages a nice sense of community among guests. For those who prefer more privacy, there are also a couple of smaller, private tables on the side. The location is about a 20-minute walk from the old town, which we actually appreciated as it offered a quieter, more local feel while still being close enough to all the main attractions. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is located on the first floor of a traditional building and does not have a lift. If you're traveling with heavy luggage, it's something to be aware of but for us, it wasn’t a big deal.

Lovely public areas and our room (no4) was spacious with a large bathroom. Celia, who presided over breakfast, was lovely and also provided useful information on restaurants/ sights etc.. The large table at breakfast encouraged interaction between guests ( although you could tale yourself away to a table for 2) and we met some nice fellow holidaymakers.

Aircon wasn't working but temperatures didn't make this such an issue and it was e,xained that a part was being waited for. Light in the bathroom could have been better.

The stuff was amazing. They were very friendly and the level of service was outstanding. Everyone was very nice even our fellow visitors were amazing. The room is normal, each with an individual bathroom, closet, mini fridge and a desk. One could easily eat breakfast on their own separate table or one is easily to enjoy a breakfast with other visitors and strike conversation about the city or preferred stores, caffé and all other.

We can't wait to visit them again.

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!! The room was spacious, with an amazing and large bathroom. The decor is stunning—perfect for Instagram lovers! It’s honestly beautiful. You wake up, open the door, and are greeted by the delightful smell of breakfast. We felt so welcomed, like we had known Silvia (I believe she’s the owner) for a long time. Check-in was easy, and the location is convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Florence’s main attractions. There’s parking downstairs for €26 per day. It’s a very quiet place, perfect for relaxing after a busy day out. I truly loved every detail and would recommend it 1000%. We will definitely be back!

The stairs. We knew about them before we booked, but always seemed harder to climb after a long day sightseeing around Florence 😂

Check-in was smooth, and we checked in after hours, which is across the street. Breakfast was LOVELY. You can smell it being prepared right at 8am. A great spread of variety of options with proteins and the lovely owner will even make you cappuccino if you prefer vs. Americano coffee. Arranged a taxi service for us, and really do care about their guests. Great location - you can walk to most attractions, but are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a very cute local park just a 5 min walk away that we enjoyed sitting there in the mornings. The B&B is quiet, and there are dark blackout curtains to make for a nice relaxing night. Great shower! They serviced our room daily.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent staff service. Very friendly and helpful. Easy to find with directions supplied. Approx 15-20 mins walk from the main tourist area of Florence but a very pleasant walk with plenty bars/restaurants very close by. Great breakfast but could be served a little earlier as I had an early checkout and only managed to grab a banana from the table before leaving.

Great location within walking distance to all the main attractions including the AC Fiorentina football stadium, Academia Galleria, Duomo etc. Loved the day to day residential neighbourhood for local people watching. The host lady was very warm and charming - she kindly arranged a small bottle of complimentary Prosecco for my husband’s birthday

Hair dryer - I’ll recommend you pack your own in the suitcase.

Great stay at Alfieri 9. Silvia is a very friendly and helpful host. She even let us check in early as our room was ready on arrival. Very nice quiet neighbourhood and comfortable room. Location was very convenient as it's on the verge of the ZTL so we parked on Piazzale Donatello right around the corner to unload the luggage. It's about 20mns walk from the Uffizi but there is so much to see in the streets of Florence that it feels quite quick.

Due to the sincere attitude of the staff and home furnishings, we felt like we were living in a family. There were a lot of details that show classic Italian interior. The beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious

It was really cold on the ground floor ( the air conditioning didn’t help much). Some furniture needs renovation. And you can hear the noise from the neighbours
