Lovely hotel, friendly staff, cool frescoes on the ceilings. Classy-looking place! Bit of a trek from the centre of the city, though. Thirty minute walk from the station, maybe twenty minutes from the all the central good stuff. (Guess that's the price you pay for peace and quiet on the edge of the old town.) Don't suppose I'd usually consider this a problem, but it was SERIOUSLY hot this summer. Breakfast wasn't included with our plan. My mistake, I guess. They did, though, have a pretty good buffet breakfast for a reasonable price that you could book the night before. We did so the first night - and liked it - but were hapy to breakfast in little nearby cafes from then on. Oh, and the room was huge. (Maybe I've been in Asia too long!) Not much point paying extra for a "courtyard view" as it is more of a "carpark view" in truth. So, lovely town, cool hotel, fantastic staff (who were very friendly, and happy to lend me a plug adaptor thing so we could charge stuff). Might even stay again.

Nice location, they propose ti have a parking for 25 eur per day, nearby parking not in ztl costs 15 eur per day but of course you have to bring all your stuff to the hotel in this case. Very friendly and helpful staff. Building is really old with history but warm (central heating, wow) and equipped well. We also got room with terrace at 0 floor but in December it’s already cold unfortunately. Fridge in the room but not a kettle.

Wi-fi and breakfast were so-so. And we arrived during some constructions and there was quite strong smell of paint. Kettle is in special room on the first floor, bot in the room.

The rooms are huge with high ceilings and tall windows. The floor is ceramic tile and the furniture is antique. The whole place has such great character. Breakfast was good and had plenty of choices.

While the rooms are huge the bathroom (at least mine) was small but workable. Shower worked well but just expect it to be a bit cramped. The other thing is, if you get a room with a street view, expect to hear the traffic as the windows need to be upgraded and made more soundproof.

It was great! I love my room and the quiet location. The bathroom was a nice size, and the shower/bath was big. Also lots of hot water! I really liked my breakfest options. I loved the cappuccino machine. The breakfest was delicious. Even the scrambled eggs were good! And they never are. I don't like to eat lots of bread in the morning and they had a lot of options. Cheese and meat slices, boiled and scrambled eggs, yogurts, jams, bread slices, croissants, nuts, cereals, and pastries(though I did not try them).

This did not affect me because I came early, but I would recommend someone check out the cheese/meat slices every 15 minutes. But that's it. It was a perfect breakfest.

The room was nice and big, had a mini fridge, and breakfast was included staff was friendly. Lovely garden.

Too far from the famous sights and museums. Some buses were not running on schedule, which I know is not the hotel’s fault, but it did make getting there much more difficult. The window in the bathroom was open for ventilation but allowed mosquitoes into the room. We also got a chameleon or similar lizard in the room, very high ceiling, so difficult to remove. Breakfast items were a little stale, there was a variety but could have used a little change each day, or mor variety.

We had only one night stay in Florence and the rooms were very clean & neat. The front office person was helpful when we arrived as we asked for a kettle to boil water. Next day also they were helpful in getting a cab as we were running short of time to reach r.station. Think some old mansion property was converted into hotel. The morning breakfast spread was good & decent.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The building is just beautiful and it adds to ones stay in Florence. Very good breakfast. Varied and good selection with gluten free options and plant based cappuccinos available.

My room faced onto a road. On the Thursday night is was very quiet but on the Friday night there were obviously students coming home from an evening out and their loud voices just outside the window woke me up.

Overall good value for money. Clean, nice staff, beautiful rooms, great wifi, good location Housekeeping every day

Breakfast is definitely overhyped. Read some great reviews but you only get hard boiled or scrambled eggs from warm meal. If you ever had a full english youd be greatly dissappointed. Also the coffee is not good Also, there is a 100eur surcharge for checkin after midnight, this is really unheard of in any hotel and just not cool at all

I really love the location and the nice breakfast. Rooms have a yesteryear feel. The best sites in Florence are within walking distance, yet this place has a neighborhood feel. The garden and outdoor seating are pretty also. I just wish I had more vacation to sit and relax there! Staff were very accommodating. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends who like an antique style place.

Ventilation in the bathroom probably needs improvement, perhaps a good fan.

The hotel is in a great location. Easy to walk to all main attractions but removed from the chaotic crowds. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned (wonderful in July), the reception desk was staffed almost 24 hours a day with friendly, polite and professional people and breakfast was excellent.
