I had a wonderful stay at Secret Garden! The service was excellent—very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety to choose from. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the city’s main attractions and very close to a tram stop, which made getting around super easy. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, which really added to the cozy atmosphere. My room was spotless and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. A lovely bonus was the shared kitchen, where coffee, tea, and snacks were available at any time. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

The Secret Garden is a hidden gem. We had two rooms for a special family holiday. Both rooms were delightfully decorated, with lovely bedding and well-appointed bathrooms. The whole Secret Garden is full of plants, making a lovely calming atmosphere. One bedroom had a balcony overlooking the garden, with seats and cushions. Lucrezia and Filippo were so welcoming, making us feel we were being invited into their home. Breakfast was served at the kitchen table. We were invited to use the kitchen to make drinks and enjoy snacks or use the fridge. The location is perfect - only 6 minutes walk from the last stop on the T2 tramline from the airport. We could walk to the Academia or Santa Croce in 10-15 minutes. Lucrezia made us a restaurant booking for our first night, and a folder in each room gave more excellent suggestions for eating out.

As an art consultant working with hotels around the globe, I rarely give a 10 to the hotels I visit because I tend to be quite demanding—but this one absolutely deserves it 100%! If you have the chance to stay at this beautiful place, don’t hesitate. It’s just a short walk to the center, yet it’s located in a very quiet area. The property has a lovely garden, and I have to say, I loved the kitchen! The breakfast was fantastic, and the owners are such a charming couple. The house, filled with plants, is definitely a hidden gem. You can truly feel the Italian vibe and warm hospitality here. I’ll definitely be coming back to your place, guys!

All was perfect

Secret Garden is a most charming place, being managed by a lovely young couple. Our room looked out over the inner garden, and was very quiet despite the home being on a very busy street. Each morning the owners would make a lovely breakfast and answered any questions that we had; they also made helpful recommendations for places to eat. A lovely and romantic oasis in a super busy city.

The area itself where the house is located is super busy with traffic, and it is quite a walk to the center of the city.

If you are lucky enough to stay at Secret Garden B&B you are in for a treat. Lucrezia and Filippo are perfect hosts. Both kind, considerate and caring and really want their guests to have the most perfect stay possible. The accommodation is in position A for walking to all the major tourist attractions in Florence. For example the Academia gallery is a 5 minute walk, the cathedral is a 10 minute walk and the Ponte Vecchio is about 20 minutes. Everything is so close. Add to that it being surrounded by great restaurants and bars it is really positioned perfectly. The rooms are large and bright. Great big comfortable beds with great linen for the perfect nights sleep. Big bathrooms with heated towel rails so you get lovely warm towels for your morning showers. Along with ethical products in the bathroom you will have everything you need. Lots of storage for clothes with plenty of hangers and there is an iron and ironing board available if required. When you check you get to pre order your breakfast items such as croissants, toast, jam, yoghurt, cheese and ham, eggs. There is also cereal, freshly prepared coffee or tea all served in a beautiful big communal kitchen by one of your hosts. A beautiful breakfast feast to keep you going until lunch. There is a beautiful large garden in the centre of the property and you can prepare your own tea and sit in the garden and relax. We so enjoyed our stay and wish we had stayed longer. Lucrezia & Filippo have really recreated a charming B&B in the heart of Florence recalling Frances Hodgson Burnett’s novel. It’s too bad we visited in February and didn’t get a chance to see the garden in full bloom. The property is extremely homey and the well-appointed kitchen is welcoming after a day of sightseeing. Lucrezia is very warm and we appreciated her warm, friendly demeanor very much.

It’s a little difficult to get to navigate the narrow roads around the property and get to the parking garages, but that’s to be expected in the heart of Florence.

The location is very central and all main sights, restaurants are within walking distance. The rooms are comfy, spacious and you have everything you need. Owners are very nice and in the main room you even have snacks and drinks available all the time. You can choose your breakfast for the next day and the choice is ok. As the weather was not that nice we could not really use the garden, but it must be a paradise on hot summer days. Loved the cats :)

The walls are very thin, so you can literally hear all conversations from your neighbours. But as long as everyone takes care of the volume at night hours it is ok.

- Yes, it is as good as you think it is. - The people were sweet, genuine, considerate and took personal care in the place and guests; no phony concierge interactions here. - The rooms were clean, spacious, delicately decorated, charming and beautifully lit. They were air conditioned and cool and a respite after walking in the intense summer heat. The choice not to have curtains and instead wooden doors makes for dreamy views yet blocks out light entirely when needed. - The garden was blissful and full of secrets, watch out for the cute tortoise, it can move fast. - The shower was soooo good. - The breakfasts were more than the sum of their wonderful fresh ingredients and an experience in themselves. They felt exclusive and in the setting of the garden timelessly magical. The Croissants were outstanding. - The place feels very safe. - Easy access. We walked everywhere and always looked forward to getting back to the garden at the end of each trip.. - The name Secret Garden is great and memorable which makes it easy to find on Google maps/Citymapper so getting back to it is easier than most places. It would be hard to imagine a better way to experience Florence. ❤️

- The mosquitoes liked me too much. - There were no spare slippers and I forgot mine (though I forgot to ask) - I didn't see any statues of Ezio Auditore da Firenze anywhere in Florence, but that is hardly the Secret Garden's fault.

Filipo and Lucrezia were such wonderful hosts! The room we stayed in was perfect for my 2 daughters and me (3 nights). Breakfast was out in their small, beautiful garden area and you got to select what you wanted the night before. We had cappuccino, orange juice, fresh cut fruit, croissants, homemade sweet bread, yogurt, and hard boiled egg. They really want to make sure you enjoy your stay with them. They will give you suggestions on places to visit and also call a taxi for you if you need one. It’s a great location and an easy walk to the Duomo, Uffizzi, Accademia, etc. We really enjoyed our stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay with my husband and two adult daughters. The host met us at the door and immediately began taking care of us. Our room wasn’t ready, but she offered us drinks and a snack as we regrouped from traveling from Rome. The room met all our needs with a queen and two twin beds. Everything was clean and the shower was wonderful! Lucrezia, the owner, made us breakfast twice and left it in the refrigerator for us as we had tours that started before breakfast began. The kitchen was warm and welcoming and open for snacks and drinks 24/7. The garden was beautiful and where breakfast was served. It also had a washing machine and drying rack. I would highly recommend this lovely B and B and would most definitely stay again. 10 out of 10 recommend!

It was very hot while we were in Florence, and it would have been more pleasant if the AC unit worked a little better. It did not put out much cool air, and it was hard to cool down our particular room that was quite large and had high ceilings.
