Our stay at this hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The location is perfect — right in the center and close to everything. The staff were beyond amazing, truly the best I have ever encountered in any hotel, and I’ve stayed in many five-star properties. Even though this is a four-star hotel, the service, warmth, and professionalism exceeded all expectations. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

First of all, the rooms were exceptionally clean and, for Italy, surprisingly spacious. The morning breakfast was wonderful with excellent coffee, fresh fruit salad, and a great selection of delicious options. Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented.

Amazing property in great location just steps from the Duomo in the center of Florence. Wonderful, attentive staff and well appointed room - breakfast was delicious ! Would highly recommend - one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Europe !

What was really good: the staff was super helpful, professional and friendly. Welcome dring, gift and gentle music playing in the room when checking in felt really nice. The location is superb: 5 minutes from Duomo, 2 minutes from Accademia Gallery. And since the old town is compact, you are literally near almost everything. I liked the size of the room and the room itself looked super nice, everything was super clean. Breakfast was great. Small terrace outdoor with glimpse of Duomo. Tiny comment USB and USBc sockets in the room would be really really handy :)

This was our favourite stay during a 3 week trip to Europe. It was deffinately one of the more expensive places we stayed but from the second you arrive its obvious why. You are welcomed by all of the staff who make sure you are comfortable and are extremely quick to take care of your check in and offer you welcome drinks. We were given a very detailed explanation of everything to expect in Florence which was a nice touch. The rooms are immaculate and a decent size with good bathrooms and shower. We looked forward to breakfast every morning where the staff were waiting to take your order and kept the espressos coming. The location is perfect, the second you step outside the lobby you can see the duomo. Reception had someone waiting to help you out no matter what time of the day or night. Was deffinately sad leaving glimpse hotel as it felt like a little family getting to know all the friendly staff.

I recently stayed at the Glimpse Hotel in Florence and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The Superior King Room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The bathtub provided a relaxing retreat in the evenings. The staff at both the reception and the bar were incredibly nice and helpful, which I believe is the hotel’s standout feature. I would like to extend special thanks to Alina and Carlos for their kindness and support during my stay. Despite a minor incident on the first night that affected my rest, the staff’s attentiveness ensured my three-day stay was pleasant. The reception area, though small, is cozy and serves as a nice spot to enjoy a drink before heading out or upon returning. The hotel’s location is exceptional—close to major attractions and within walking distance of nearly anywhere in town. Additionally, there’s a nearby pharmacy and a convenient laundry service store, which I used and found preferable compared to the hotel’s offered rates. The pre-set breakfast options were fine and sufficient for me; however, I believe a small yet high-quality buffet could be more preferable. The bakery products are incredible, compliments to the pastry chef! It was a pleasant stay and I loved Florence. I definitely would love to visit Glimpse again.

An area for improvement is definitely the soundproofing of the rooms and windows. During my January stay, the streets were mostly empty at night, yet occasional noises like, shouting passersby, or a car alarm at 5 AM (as well as loud neighbours at the hotel) were quite audible. I had to use earplugs.

Hotel is in great location, right by the Duomo cathedral. The staff was super helpful, a shout out to Ovidio who spent time going through a map of the city and giving us recommendations on where to go, eat and drink. The room was lovely and had everything you need. Loved the art around the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and the check out great as they let us keep our luggage while we explored the city before we left.

The car valet service is 100% needed if you are driving. On the day we arrived, there was road works right by the hotel which made it really stressful to get there as Florence city centre is a nightmare to drive through and our GPS had no idea what was going on! It might be easier to have a car valet a bit outside Florence where you can leave the car and then have someone drive you up the hotel instead.

Stylish,spotlessly clean with an amazing location. You are only a couple hundred metres from the duoma. In fact you can see it when you walk outside the hotel. Within walking distance of most of the sights. Comfortable bed with really great pillows. Stylish marble bathroom. And most especially great AC. Lastly, the most welcoming and helpful staff ,especially Alina, at reception. She went out of her way to welcome us,inform us about the sights and help us with transport. I highly recommend this hotel.

So glad I booked this hotel. The staff was exceptional, which is always a bonus. The room was substantial with plenty of room to store luggage and clothing. The bed was comfortable and the marble bathroom was luxurious. My window faced the street but the noise was not significant. The location is convenient to the Duomo but a farther walk to Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. There was free breakfast downstairs with many delicious choices. I'm sure I would book here again.

Glimpse is a petite (10 rooms), beautifully designed hotel in the center of Firenze. The photos on the website are accurate. What makes this hotel a standout is the warmth, kindness and hospitality of the entire staff, most especially Andrea. The location is excellent, just enough outside the busy district to be quiet but close enough to walk to any and all areas of interest. The bed was large and comfortable. The room was bright and cheerful. Good air conditioning for particularly hot days. The value for the price was pretty good.

The breakfast-included offerings are fine but limited, not as healthy as I prefer (no vegetables or cheese). If you like eggs, bacon, fruit and bread products, you’ll be happy. (The service is lovely btw.) The bathroom is what makes this an 8 instead of a 9. It’s pretty but not functional. Poor water pressure in shower. No shelf or counter space. Shallow sink so can only fill reusable water bottles halfway. Hose-bidet that has one level: fire hose. (Eeek) I am 5’6” and when using the toilet only my toes were touching the floor. For an overnight not a big deal but for a week not great.

This hotel was lovely. I stayed with my husband, and we had a very nice time. The rooms were clean and stylishly decorated, the shower and bathroom were clean and nice, the staff was lovely, and the breakfast was very nice. I'd definitely stay here again. We have stayed in Florence a number of times so I am particular about location. This hotel is located around the corner from the Galleria (where David is). That is very convenient for those who will have to wait in line to see him. (I visit him every time I'm in Florence.) The hotel is also 2 pretty short blocks away from Simbiosi Restaurant, on Via de' Ginori 58r, which is to die for. The hotel is one and a half long blocks from the Duomo.

If you're planning to do a lot of walking to the different sites, I prefer staying on the other side of the Duomo closer to the Uffizi. Walking along the streets can be a little cumbersome because you're navigating around very slow crowds of tourists, school children, and all walks of life at all different speeds on very narrow sidewalks, and going into the street can mean risking your life being run over by a motorcycle or speeding truck. I think the other side of the Duomo has more touristy stuff, so the other side is preferable to me.
