The room was absolutely beautiful, immaculate, quiet and comfortable. All members of staff were kind, polite, and always ready to help. Perfect location within walking distance to all major attraction. We will definitely come back here!

For guests staying longer, a clothes iron would be a perfect addition

The San Guiliano Inn is a private hotel on the top floor of a building near the historic centre of Florence. It is probably 10 minutes walk to the Duomo. We arrived after usual business hours and staff stayed back to accommodate our arrival. Communications prior to our arrival was very thorough. Staff were very friendly and provided maps and advice about public transport. We even got to meet the owner who is lovely. The building has massive front doors and a very small lift to the top floor (1 person with luggage or two people without luggage maximum). The rooms are beautifully decorated and were very clean. The bathrooms are beautiful and included a heated towel rail. There was a large wardrobe with a fridge and plenty of storage and hangers. Our room had a view of the Duomo just like the picture on Booking - amazing! There is a common sitting room which is also beautifully decorated and a common kitchen which with a fridge stacked with water (naturale and frizzante) and some beer and soft drinks. Tea and Nespresso coffee is also available as are some light snacks. Pastries (croissants) were available for breakfast and if you are a big breakfast person would suggest you will need to eat elsewhere as well. The Hotel is located within walking distance of a major bus terminal which we used to get up to Michaelangelo's steps ( about a 45 min bus ride away depending on how on time they are - expect then to be late). Many cafes and restaurants close by including where we had an amazing Bistecca, and where we were able to get "self-service' food which was really good and reasonably priced.

There is a McDonalds downstairs which creates a bit of noise due to the DoorDash riders congregating to wait for food orders, This wasn't really a problem with the windows closed as they are double or triple glazed and really reduce the noise. The bathroom window is not triple glazed so some noise does come through that, but it was not really an issue for us as we closed the bathroom door.

The woman working at the reception area was very kind and helpful. She also gave us great recommendations. We were nervous about needing a taxi at 3:30am the last day to get the airport, but she got it set up for us no problem. The room itself was spacious and comfortable with a great view. The bathroom came stocked with everything you would need. Down the hall outside of the room, there is a public sitting room and a kitchen area. The kitchen area has a Nespresso machine, snacks, and a fridge stocked with waters and other drinks. The location was also very convenient with a short walking distance to all the main attractions.

Wonderful location with great soundproofing that kept most of the outside noise out. Very attentive staff. Nice to have a kitchenette area with a fridge stocked with water and small bottles of beer and wine. The breakfast was very light but welcome with a good coffee machine available all the time.

The external noise was well managed but the internal noise did wake us as staff arrived at the start of the day. Also the reception desk had a very noisy scanner/printer that seemed to beep with every button pressed. This is the echoing nature of old stone/marble buildings but it re diced it to very good from perfect. Maybe some thought about making the doors quieter and a more considerate office equipment design.

The location was excellent. The apartment is one of 6 on the 4th floor accessed by a lift. The beds were very comfortable and there was a nice communal lounge. The owner and staff were very friendly & helpful. A member of staff was available in the shared kitchen to make coffee for us which we enjoyed with the complimentary croissants. The fridge in the kitchen also had complimentary water, juice & wine. When we were leaving the same male member of staff took our cases down for us and the owner ordered a taxi to take us to the station. They couldn't have been more helpful.

Everything was perfect

I love traveling and have stayed in countless places, but this is a warm-hearted inn. A variety of drinks and yogurt were available in the common area, and a simple breakfast was also provided. There were even tissues, toothbrushes, and notepads. There is no other inn in Italy that offers such attentive service at this price range. The room was clean and had a view of the cupola. The staff member DEXTER is hardworking and kind. The female owner is also reliable and warm, and is protecting this wonderful inn. If I come to Florence, I will definitely stay here!

Nothing in particular. If I had to say something, I would say it would be nice to have one more chair in the room.

The location was perfect. Walking distance for all of the sights. The hotel was beautifully appointed with lovely decor and quiet. There was free coffee, tea, croissants and a few alcoholic drinks with a lovely lounge to enjoy them in. The room was big enough for two travellers with adequate wardrobe space and a safe and mini fridge. The bathroom had a roomy shower with great water pressure and a great heated towel rail. The staff were very friendly. I was super happy with the hotel and would definitely stay again.

The mattress was a bit soft and formed a cocoon in the middle. There were no usb charging ports.

Everything was perfect. Location. This is a room in a flat at the top of a very old building in central Florence. I was a little anxious that Via Cavour might be a busy road, but it is not (the city of Florence now has strict traffic restrictions, so streets that look [on the map] like a main thoroughfare have surprisingly little traffic). Being at the top and at the back of the building, there was no noise or pollution, and a lovely view over the hills surrounding the city. We planned to buy a bus pass, but in spite of my poor mobility (I have osteoarthritis, and walk with a stick) we were able to walk into the centre of town in about 10 minutes, so no need for buses. Most people walk faster than me. Room. The room was a good size and very luxurious. The beds were very comfortable, and all the furnishings felt like a top-class hotel. The shower room also had top class fittings, including a heated towel rail , which was always hot. Cleanliness. Everywhere - bedroom, shower room, shared kitchen and living room, the flat was impeccably clean. Our room was part of a flat with other rooms, although we never met any other guests. There was a kitchen for our use, but more for making drinks and breakfast than proper meals. We found a really good restaurant across the road and were not interested in cooking, being obsessed with art, and art only. The shared living room (which we didn't really use, as we were out all day, every day, seeing more art) was beautifully furnished. In the last week of November our hostess Luana put up some very tasteful and artistic decorations - ideas for Christmas at home! What else was perfect? Our hostess, Luana, and her staff.

I suppose I should put something here, but it was perfect for us. It would be less perfect for people who need to be waited on hand and foot, and do silly things like losing their keys. The staff are not present 24/7, although they can be contacted in an emergency. The building is on the top floor, but there are other floors and other flats, so some consideration for others is required. There are several keys, one for the front door, one for the flat, one for the room. Access to the top floor is by a rather ancient lift, not that easy to operate (until you get used to it).

The property was near the SM Novelle station, abt 15 mins walk. Although it is on the 4th floor, it has a lift. The young lady received us at the lift and brought us to the hotel. She slso gave very good recommendations when we asked abt local tour and restaurants nearby. Dexter was another staff who was very helpful. He helped to bring our luggage to our room. The room is very clean and spacious. The hotel has a common room (like a living room). The best part of the hotel is it offers Nespresso coffee that we can make ourselves. The fridge was well stocked with sparkling water, still water and even yoghurt. Complimentary croissants were also provided in the morning, although breakfast was not included in the stay. It was very good for tourists like us who needed to run out to join the local tours. We had a fabulous stay in San Giuliano Inn.

The San Giuliano is well located within a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and most of the major attractions in Florence (Duomo, Uffezi,Accademia,etc). The Inn was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The largest bathroom and shower on our 2 week stay in Italy. The staff was very nice & helpful with directions and being certain our needs were met. They provide cappuccino & croissants each morning as well as a refrigerator stocked with water, beer & wine (gratis). If we ever return to Florence, we would stay here again.
