Our stay in Florence at La Stella d’Oro was absolutely wonderful. The B&B is perfectly located – just a short walk from Santa Maria Novella and all the main attractions, yet quiet and peaceful at night. The room was spotless, cozy and elegant, with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were warm, attentive and truly welcoming. Filippo and Enrico went out of their way to make us feel comfortable – their hospitality made our stay very special. We could not have chosen a better place to enjoy Florence. Highly recommended, and we will certainly return on our next trip to this magical city

Stunning spaceous room in an excellent location. Communication with Enrico before the stay was perfect to help us arrange arrival time for a smooth check in. The room was spotless and great to see how they care for the environment too. The breakfast looked good but we don't eat much (just a pastry and coffee) in the morning so we opted for the cheaper cafes nearby instead. There were roadworks outside but the windows were good quality so sound was a minimum and it didn't disturb us at all. Easily the best place we stayed in Italy! Would definitely return.

The AC control is mounted on the wall. I believe this is because the unit is hooked up in a way that means it stays off if a window is open. This is a great feature but a shame for us having to get out of bed at 2am to adjust.

Great location. Once inside the B&B, it was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were updated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The host was very polite and accommodating

No sign of the name of the property on the wall. It was engraved on the stoop entering the property. Should have a more visible sign. Also, when first entering the property it looked kind of worn out and dirty. The steps and foyer should be polished and cleaner. I’m a small person, and the mirror and hooks in the bathroom were too high for me. Also need a space to put my cosmetics.

The location was walkable to everything I was looking to do: Statue of David, Uffizi, Duomo, and soooo many amazing restaurants. The breakfast was incredible, and the hosts were so kind! Anything I couldn't walk to (I was in town for a wedding) the hosts helped arrange a taxi for me. Great stay in a super cute room, and I felt very safe as a solo traveler.

I had a bit of difficulty finding it, but once I did, it was fine. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the stairwell is a bit stinky, but nothing that effects the room at all. It was a great spot overall!

Enrico and Filippo are wonderful hosts! So welcoming and kind. The b&b is beautifully decorated. It has an excellent location, close to cafes, restaurants, shops, the main train station and anything you might need. It is in walking distance to all the major sites in Florence. Attention to detail in each room, cleanliness and a lovely breakfast room make for a very comfortable stay. Our bed was so comfortable and welcoming after a day of walking and exploring the city. We recommend that you take advantage of the delicious breakfast that's available (for a small additional cost) consisting of yogurts, fresh fruit, delicious cake, cheeses, jams, nuts, coffee, teas and juice. Everything was fresh and served with a smile. Everything that travelers might need has been considered and we really appreciated this. We highly recommend La Stella D'Oro b&b. The host Enrico was very welcoming and provided excellent advice with dining options and directions. The B&B was within an easy walking distance of the train station and the historic center, restaurants and shops. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and the shower was nice with good pressure and plenty of hot water.

The fact that the electricity key was permanently attached to the door keys which made it hard to lock the door at night without a flashlight.

We really enjoyed our stay for the first leg of our honeymoon. For our first trip to Florence I would highly recommend this B&B. The staff were lovely and helpful especially as we arrived late in the evening. The room was very comfortable, clean and had good amenities! The B&B itself is really central so a very quick walk into the main town areas and not far from the tram stop (very cheap travel to and from the airport). All in all we loved our stay in Florence! The most amazing part of staying at this hotel is the customer service and the breakfast. Enrico and Filipino are supper nice and helpful. The breakfast has a lot of verity and delicious. They even provide the laundry service with fair cost.

During our stay, we encountered an unpleasant odor in the hotel/apartment, reminiscent of sewage. This issue coincided with ongoing street construction, which may have disrupted the local sewer system, leading to the noticeable smell.

Was greeted by the warm hospitality from the friendly Host (Enrico) with all the necessary arrangements from early check in & arrangements of the 2 way airport transfer request! Location was superb with everywhere especially from the train station (11 mins walk) and to the city centre (around less than 15 mins walk)! Room was spacious and clean with well equipped facilities! Definitely highly recommend to anyone who is planning for a stay in this beautiful Florence city!

The location of the property was perfect! It was walkable to the train station about 10 mins walk, short walk to the Mercato central, restaurants, shopping and sights. The staff was nice and responsive, especially Filipo he was very friendly and helpful answered all our questions and made recommendations.

Upon entering, the stairs area of the property has this weird odor not sure if it's from the trash bins outside or the restaurant kitchen next door? The common area and room were CLEAN however we had mosquitoes inside our room🙁. It probably went inside at some point but our windows were closed the entire time. Spent time killing about 8-10 mosquitoes in the beginning. So that was fun hehe
