Hotel was in a good location making it easy to get to/from the train station and to the main sights in Florence. Staff were very good and helpful recommending various points of interest/places to eat or helping with any queries. Room was clean and housekeeping attended daily.

The only issue of note was we were unable to lock our room door from the inside. I never had concerns about the security of the hotel and access to the room was only by a card but still, I would prefer to be able to lock the door internally by myself for overnight. I was staying in a twin room with my teenage son so didn’t feel unsafe, however if I was a female on my own I wouldn’t necessarily be entirely happy with this arrangement. The staff explained it was because if there was a fire they could get everyone out which I understand and access to the room is only by card allocated to you but feel I should raise it for awareness.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast wasn't particularly rich – just a few types of cheese and cold cuts, plenty of pastries and croissants, some apples and bananas, coffee, and a few other small items. Nothing impressive, but decent enough for a morning meal.We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel at first, as we ended up on the only street in the area that was under construction. :) The room and bathroom were small, but perfectly fine for our needs, especially since we didn’t spend much time in the room. Everything was very clean, and housekeeping was done daily. Our room had a small terrace where you could enjoy a coffee or smoke a cigarette. After 8 PM, there’s no one at the reception, but you receive a code to access the building. The location was great — close to all the main tourist attractions, about a 10–15-minute walk to everything. Overall, we were satisfied — everything went smoothly and in good conditions.

The single room was more spacious than I expected; it looks smaller in the pictures. The cleanliness was great. I wasn't expecting daily cleaning, and they did a full clean. They offered a simple breakfast, which was enough for me. I could hear some guests talking while walking in the corridor, but it was quiet once you entered the room. The shower appliances were in good condition and the hot water was reliable. They don't skim on the heater, it was burning hot while I was there, they also have AC to support it. The bathroom floor accumulates water once you take a shower and it stays there. It would be nice to have a small mop or something to fix that. Not a deal breaker though.

Staff were great and very helpful. Location was well situated for walking distance to all the places we wished to see. Breakfast was great, good variety to choose from. Room worked well for the three of us (couple and our granddaughter). There were 3 flights lot of stairs to reach our room, which was not a problem for us, but could be for some people.

Only negative was how small the shower was, and it did not have a shelf to place soap/shampoo. It was so small literally couldn't bend over to reach floor. Could barely crouch (long legs)( 5'7", 5'6", 5'2" all slender). But we managed. Would be ok if there was a small shelf to place shampoo and soap.

The reception usually closes at 8pm, but they will tell you how to check in if you will arrive later than that. In my case, the hotel person contacted me in advance by whatsapp to ask me the arrival time and told me the contact to get this information, but in the end, the person at the reception kindly waited for me. The stuff who contacted me by WhatsApp also gave me a recommendation of very nice local restaurants nearby when I asked. All the staffs were very kind and friendly. They provided soap and a shower cap. There was a hair dryer, fridge, and an air conditioner, which will be a good advantage in summer.

There’s no elevator. The window was small and high up, and the switch to open it did not work, but it was fine just to take a shower and sleep for one night. The bed was clean and confortable.

The room was cozy and very clean, overall the hotel looked nice and clean. In the room there were available a boiling cup, tea, instant coffee, sugar and some toilet articles. A tourist city map was also made available by the ladies in the reception. The breakfast was very ok, with several types of cold meat, cheese and pastry. All the staff was so nice, kind and always ready to help. Close to the Piazza del Duomo, just a few minutes walking. A big plus is that the baggage can be kept at the reception after checking out.

Not an issue with the core experience, travelers should be very aware that the location is split across two unconnected buildings a few blocks apart. Sometimes the maps will misdirect you if using the non bookings map, which stinks because the bookings map is otherwise the worse experience. When my phone was almost out I ended up in the wrong location, concerned my best bet was to just sleep in that lobby than get lost. So be very aware if you like the nightlife.

This hotel is near the train station so we went on foot for 10 min. Also, all visiting places were near the hotel. it is very convenient , especially people, who decided to watch a lot of places for 2-3 days. By the way, breakfast was enough good. After breakfast we could spend some hours and don't think about food. Moreover , we had a good opportunity to shut the window with shutters from the sun and noise. By the way , all stuffs are polite:)

There are two hotels Guelfa, one of them Camilla Guelfa on this street. Don't worry if you come into to another Guelfa, like me :) There is not lift in the hotel, because the ancient building. I think it isn't problem too, the staffs always help as well. :)

The location was great and the staff was very friendly. Just what we needed with bathroom and AC. The staff even helped us get a cab when we struggled to get through to the company at 3AM and helped with our bags. The breakfast was a nice start to our day

There wasn’t something to put on the door to request no cleaning. When they cleaned they shut the AC off which seems to be common in Europe but was miserable to return to when expecting the AC

The location 5 stars! The room was very clean ! Small but if you stay for 1 night it’s perfect every thing that you need you can find , the value I paid for one night + breakfast is amazing, as a couple we really enjoyed and high recommend

It’s not that I didn’t like but it appeared a little bit strange , the location of room one in the dining room , one near hotels toilet. The other thing is that at night we heard some noise from the outside but it’s not depend upon the hotel - young people like to go out at night , anyway it didn’t bother us because we were so tired and didn’t have time to hear the noise and complain , we fall asleep fast .
