The only hotel I will stay in Florence from now on. We spent 5 days there until yesterday 12/05/23, our Most Important thanks is to Margarita, she is the most helpful, valuable and respectful staff you can possibly want. The manager (Trini) was Excellent as well, she explained the history of the hotel, the art in the walls and gave all the information needed during our stay. Breakfast staff in the restaurant is outstanding, food is delicious and so well served. I was book ppl for one night only and as soon as I got there, desired to stay the entire week. The Room!! It Was the room of a princess. The Art, history, clean lines and beauty + the BEST location to all historic places!!

I don’t usually leave reviews — only when something is either really disappointing or seriously impressive. This hotel? Definitely the latter. First of all, the location is unbeatable — you step out and you’re already in the heart of everything. Breakfasts deserve a special mention: absolutely delicious, with a variety and quality that truly exceeded my expectations. And then, the Prosecco — what a charming touch! A complimentary bottle was waiting for me in the room, and downstairs in the lobby, you can always pour yourself a glass (or three, or five…) whenever you feel like it. It’s the kind of little luxury that makes a stay feel special. Honestly, I’m trying to think of something negative to balance this out, but I really can’t. Everything was just… great. Would absolutely stay here again.

You won’t beat a location as amazing as this one. It’s a few steps away (literally) from the Medici palace, as well as being a few more steps away you are at the famous cathedral and Duomo. As a solo female traveller, I was able to explore the area at night as it was busy in this area, and I always felt safe. I was steps away from the heart of Florence, amazing restaurants and bars. The hotel also made me feel safe. I really liked my room, it was cleaned daily and I had a mini fridge and access to you tube on the tv. The air con worked perfectly (which was needed as it was over 35 degrees). I liked the court yard, its open all day and i liked having a cup of tea in the court yard with my book.

I would have loved some more pastries at breakfast.

Amazing hotel at the heart of Florence. I didn't expect it to be as nice as it was! Very nice decor, Friendly and helpful staff, one of the few hotels I enjoyed breakfast in and the location cannot be better. Bang on in the center, very close to the Duomo. Also very clean rooms and they take care of them very well.

Only thing, if you have any disability, as I had some minor knee issue and had to be careful with stairs, make sure you request a room downstairs. The lift takes you nicely on other floors but there are still small stairs. Not a major thing though. Everything else was perfect.

I was lucky enough to be situated in a remodeled room. Not only was the room itself beautiful, so was the view. The room was so spacious and decorated beautifully. The natural light made the experience so ethereal. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and just something so simple like having water and sweets available in the lobby made it that much better. The location was perfect, just a few steps away from Accademia and then a few minutes away from other major sites and destinations. Easy to walk to from the train station.

Great breakfast, great location, great room.

Air conditioning was a bit temperamental. Only 1 out of the 2 coffee machines was in use, and this caused delays due to the number of people using. This was the same when we stayed 2 years ago. Because the breakfast area has many entrances, about 3. People decided to circumnavigate the main entry point and queue jump. One particular morning, we had been queuing by the door for about 10 mins, and another couple came along, didn't wish to queue up and entered via another door and then proceeded to get coffee first. Perhaps it's a cultural thing but it made the breakfast experience a little stressful and unfair.

We enjoyed our stay in the quirky, newly refurbished room (120). The room is only accessible using stairs and there are an additional six stairs down to bedroom, which could be awkward for those who are less mobile. For us it was part of the appeal. The hotel is convenient location for main sights and shops/restaurants plus the tram to rail/bus connections and the airport. Despite being in the centre of Firenze, the room was quiet. Everything was very clean and the bed/pillows were super - we slept well. Friendly staff, especially Clemente at breakfast and Lisa on reception, made all the difference We liked that we could help ourselves to hot drinks in the breakfast room, though a kettle in the room is always better

We couldn’t work out whether the bar was in use or not. Should have asked! :D

Property rooms were very clean, neat & efficient. Lobby was attractive & provided little extras like, cold water, candy, and comfortable seating. The breakfast buffet was outstanding , very nice selection of foods (even eggs) and 8 different types of coffee from a machine that were surprisingly good. Also indoor and outdoor seating . The staff was amazing! Very helpful with restaurant recommendations, calling for taxis, helping with luggage, etc. We had to check out before the breakfast opened one morning and staff offered to make a us a to go bag…it was much more than expected, yogurt, sandwiches, and of course, croissants! Also three staffers offered to get me coffee while I was in the lobby that morning… they all seem to go the extra mile to be helpful and so pleasant!

I can’t say that there was anything I didn’t like, but I did have some problems operating the AC in my room , maybe a card with directions in the room would be helpful.

Location, location, location! This place is perfectly situated for everything! It’s very clean, the rooms are very spacious, the staff at the front desk will go above and beyond! They’ll even pack you a breakfast to go, if you plan on starting early to see something outside Florence- they OFFER to do it, we didn’t even think to ask! They’ll help you any way they can, they’ll try to fix an issue or find a work around!

The one part that was not positive, was the breakfast room manager- it’s a woman, and she only asked people of color which room they were staying in. We were there multiple days, never noticed her ask a white person that question- but every time a person of color showed up to have breakfast, she would want to know which room they were staying in- even if the person had been asked that same question the previous few days. In 2025, she really should be more aware to how her actions might be perceived. Either ask everyone, or no one.

Beautiful and very clean well kept property. Very charming old-world”Italian building with modern updates and comfort and a tasteful mix of modern art. Very walkable to many of the major sites of Florence. Surprisingly quiet and private. Beautiful breakfast with a satisfying variety and a great cappuccino. All of the hotel staff were so welcoming, kind and helpful. Thank you to all of you, Margarita, Lisa, Angelica and the the tall gentleman in charge of breakfast (forgive me for not knowing his name) as well as the housekeepers. Overall a wonderful and memorable stay.
