Super clean and rooms ambiance is very good. There is coffee machine and everything looks new. The hosts were very nice, they gave me checkin instructions and responded quickly for my questions, and also on checkout they saw my luggage and offered me if I want to keep there for the day and provided me access to building and also common toilet.

Showers is small but it’s not big deal but it’s super clean

I didn't know this when I booked it, but the location (a bit away from the major attractions) was actually perfect for us. Around the major attractions there are crazy amounts of people (yes even at end of Sept, beginning of Oct!). There were a few excellent restaurants nearby, so we had good food options, but the number if people was a tenth of what you get on the other side of the river which was perfect for us.

It is a bit of a walk to attractions. This wasn't an issue for us at all, but some might want to pick a hotel closer to everything to cut down on the walking. As is, my wife and I ate amazing food and we lost weight!

The room was spacious and cool in the warm weather, with a very good air con. Our fridge was spacious and relatively silent and could store all our necessities and the big water bottle that the hotel graciously provided every 2 days. We also were given munchies every morning that were very useful to take our tablets in the morning and avoid to bring them with us to breakfast. The owner Denis and the cleaner were very attentive, Denis even helped us carry up and down the stairs our heavy luggage. The hotel itself is very well positioned in the Oltrarno side of the river, away from the bustling activity of tourists but very close to the Santo Spirito food scene and with many bus stops nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There were only minor things that didn't impact in our stay really. The bathroom is on the small side, but plenty of space to shower and use the toilet one by one. The room was sparsely decorated but as I said very spacious. And there is 2 flight of stairs to get to the landing of the hotel, but Denis helped us out to carry suitcases up and down.

Great location, in a calm neighborhood, but with many options of food and drink nearby. It is very close to the Boboli Garden. Not "central", but the main attractions are all reachable by foot and it is a nice place to explore the "other side" of Florence. Around 20-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station (main train station in Florence), but the route is easy. The room was comfortable and the host very sympathetic. Building, corridor and room were all clean. Air conditioning worked fine during hot summer days. Fair price for the overall, especially in Florence.

The toilet was a bit small, but everything worked fine.

We had a wonderful stay at Althea Rooms in Florence. The host was genuinely welcoming, polite, and extremely helpful, making everything smooth and easy for us. The location couldn’t be more perfect — just a short walk to Santo Spirito with its local vibe, the city center, and all the main sights. The room itself was excellent: a very comfortable bed, sockets conveniently placed by the bed, and thoughtful touches like little cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee, a kettle, and even a bottle of water waiting for us on arrival. Everything was spotless, bright, and aesthetically pleasing, with easy self check-in adding to the convenience. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check-out, which was a big help. Overall, it was a super stay 👌 — warm hospitality, great comfort, and the perfect location. We’ll definitely recommend Althea Rooms and would happily stay here again when visiting Florence!

Really there was not anything missing or that we didn't like.

The property is located very close to Palazzo Pitti, and you can get everywhere on foot. There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, close to Piazza del Santo Spirito. The room and bathroom are clean, but the room is a bit dark because the window overlooks a dark, very small patio. This doesn't matter if you spend time in the room only at night. The bathroom has everything you need. The host is nice and helpful. Before you arrive, you receive messages with tips and codes for check-in. Everything is ready for your arrival. I recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Althea rooms. The location was super convenient, very close to the old town yet in a part of Florence that still felt local and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and communication was prompt and clear. The room was airy and spacious, and cool even in the heat. Although no breakfast was provided, there are many cafes and bakeries nearby, as well as many restaurants for dinner. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after our check out time with no problems.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay and everything was to our expectations.

Our room was traditionally Italian in style, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The location was ideal - it was just outside the busy centre so felt authentic, but was a walkable distance to everything we wanted to see and do. We were provided with everything we needed, and really appreciated the little extra touches such as the Italian biscuits left on our table each morning. Our host, Paula, was absolutely lovely and kindly allowed us to leave our bags with her before check-in, as we arrived to the city very early in the morning. For such an affordable price, we couldn't have wanted any more.

Althea Rooms is the perfect stay for anyone looking to visit Florence - away from the busy central tourist area so it is nice and quiet, however, close enough so only a short walk from all the attractions. Dennis, the host, is superb. Greeted us when we arrived, and every day made sure everything was okay. Even gave us some recommendations on local areas for food and drinks. The room was top notch, very comfortable bed, and was cleaned daily. I hope to visit Florence again in the future, and we will be booking Althea Rooms 100%!

The host was very communicative, friendly, and attentive. I received the check-in instructions on time, along with helpful directions on how to easily reach the apartment. The room was clean and well-maintained. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary breakfast snacks, coffee, and water upon arrival – for which we're very grateful. You can reach the main landmarks on foot, and there are several bus stops nearby. Since the area is car-free, the street is peaceful and quiet, with no traffic noise.
