The location is excellent. Only 20 min walk from train staciion. Right in the middle of Florence. 2 min from the hotel you have a choice of bars and restaurants. Little convenience shop only 5 min walk for snacks ,wine and beer. All must see places in Florence no more than 10 min walk from hotel. The hotel is spotless, with a really good breakfast. Super comfortable beds and slightly quirky decor where old meets new. Pool and sauna are a really nice way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is exactly like in pictures. Staff are really friendly and helpful. When in Florence ,we will definitely stay there again.

More coffee sachets in the room would have been great.

Location is definitely the best. This hotel in former Vila-Palace, so many elements remain. Fully renovated. Specious rooms, most have kitchenette. Very comfortable beds and good towels. Pretty dissent breakfast. Staff is very helpful. Overall, very good stay. Probably will stay here again.

Parking is a huge problem: don't come with a car! Pool is nice, covered, but you need reservations. As a tourist, it's hard to estimate when you are back in the hotel. Not convenient. May be better to have it open certain hours and limit number of people...

Fantastic location. Staff were all very friendly, special mention for Andrea at reception. Walking distance to all landmarks. We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite which was wonderful. Good basic kitchen. Loved the murals throughout the room and hotel. Very good breakfast with extended hours that catered for gluten free (and very close to GF restaurants). Spa was a treat, but you do need to book ahead. We booked before our trip so used each day. We checked out early, but standard checkout is 12 and can leave luggage for free. Highly recommend and will look for other hotels in the chain.

Nothing, we loved it.

The hotel had a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. My room was modern and comfy, with good A/C and useful extras like a wardrobe and safe. I appreciated being able to opt out of housekeeping, which felt more sustainable. The spa area was a highlight: a heated pool, Finnish sauna, towels, lockers, and always time slots available to book. The breakfast had lots of options and small daily changes like different juices, cakes, or hot food variations, which kept it interesting. Andreea, Cristina, and Francesco F. at reception were especially kind and helpful. I could even store my luggage after checkout and rest in the peaceful atrium before heading off. Also: I didn’t see a single bug or fly the whole stay, which is rare and appreciated!

Nothing major to mention. Some areas of the building show their age, but that’s part of the charm. The rooms have been modernised in a way that still respects the original character.

Breakfast was quite nice! Nothing extraordinary but everything that you may expect (within reason) was served and staff made sure refills are done in a timely manner. I only wish cappuccino was made by a barista as opposed to the coffee machine because this makes a world of difference however it's understandable given the layout and the staffing Room was large, spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfy. Location is simply amazing and everything of relevance is within walking distance. Pool and sauna were a nice addition to the package and while small and reminiscent of a home setup gym was good enough for a quick workout. Staff was helpful and polite when we interacted which obviously added to the whole experience.

When running a shower, bathroom tap or even flushing a toilet a strong smell of gas (utility gas) was present in the bathroom itself. A 5-minute shower would create an intense smell to the point where it would get uncomfortable to breathe through the nose. This was not an issue in the kitchen sink or anywhere else in the hotel where I could utilize water taps (spa etc) but solely present in the bathroom. I notified the reception staff to which they responded promptly with sending someone to check. This happened while we were out so I can't vouch if anyone actually did check but also we didn't get any feedback or follow up and smell persisted until the day we left. (4 days)

We had a wonderful stay at Casual Rinascimento Firenze! The rooms are impressively spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed and more. A lovely detail we especially appreciated was the Rituals toiletries — a brand we absolutely love. We also love the private spa. It was such a treat to be able to use it even before check-in and after check-out, we felt completely pampered and relaxed. The location couldn’t be better. Situated right in the heart of Florence, we were able to walk easily to most of the city’s main attractions as well as many fantastic restaurants. During our stay, we encountered a small issue, but the team went above and beyond to resolve it immediately. That experience truly highlighted what makes this hotel stand out: not only is the property itself excellent, but it’s the people who elevate the experience. The hospitality here is genuinely top-notch, and we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. We would gladly return and highly recommend Casual Rinascimento Firenze to anyone visiting Florence!

Nothing — everything was perfect.

I loved this hotel! I stayed with my husband and daughter, we booked a family room and ended up with a small flat! we had a kitchen/diner, 2 large bedrooms and delightful shower. The main bedroom was a king (or larger) size bed, with two closets. A large television on the wall. Our daughter was in a seperate room on a double bed settee, which she said was very comfortable. The staff were a mixed bag, some were lovely and chatty and helpful, others seemed to be counting the minutes until the end of their shift! The location was just ideal, both for heading into the shops etc, but also for crossing the river and heading up to watch the sun go down over the city. Found some cute little wine windows around the city, keep an eye out for those. The restaurant just near the entrance of the hotel was a great find too, wouldn't usually eat so near our hotel usually, but our daughter wasn't feeling 100% and requested somewhere nearby, the food was very tasty! The Spa area is very compact but a nice treat to have the option of, it needs to be pre booked, and I can't recall if we had 1 or 2 hours use.

I'm really splitting hairs when saying negatives, and they're not necessarily negatives, perhaps more a suggestion to make the stay nicer. Top up the nespresso pods in the rooms daily, along with milk. I don't think it's too much to ask personally! Upgrade the breakfast selection, this is something we commented on in everyone of our hotel stays in Italy though, breakfast just seems very limited. And finally, our daughter would of liked a TV in her room!!

Beautifully appointed. Wonderful, breakfast and accommodations. The staff was by far the best we’ve seen in Italy. And that is saying something.

I realize that the facility is housed in old buildings which throws off the stairways and elevations. Uneven steps into rooms, and in the hallways makes it difficult for someone who is in paying close attention to their feet.

Beautiful old building in the heart of Florence with a very quaint modern and art inspired twist. Modern facilities gently set into huge rooms with high ancient ceilings . Equipped with all one needs! Fantastic sized bathrooms- large easy walk in showers, a bidet, large sized basins. Excellent water pressure on the third floor and good hot water temperatures easy to regulate. Fully equipped kitchenette- fridge, espresso machine with pods, sink, glasses, cups, plates, pots, cutlery etc.. We had two rooms , two bathrooms, two sofas, and two TV- like an apartment really. GORGEOUS!😍 Staff were very kind and friendly, helpful any time, with dual or possibly more languages easily.

The overall A/C was very loud at night, like a storm hauling around the house, and it was very warm in the rooms over night and I seemed not able to regulate it individually from inside the room.

The location was great in the middle of Florence. We were able to walk to many places. Staff was helpful. The room was really cool with tall ceilings and stone floors. It really gave you a feel for old Florence, but with modern amenities. There was a small outdoor square on the entry floor that was nice to sit and read. It was in the city, but didn't feel like it.
