Very convenient location. Was a 10-12 minutes walk from the train station. If you are an active person then it’s great. On the day of check out the staff told us that we can take a tramp and within 2 stops we can be at the train station. So in case you don’t prefer to walk, then you can take a transport. There was a nice garden opposite the hotel. We sat there for a while on the first day. Very nice place. The location is near to public transport stops. We also had .2 meals at the Indian restaurant and Kebab the 2nd day. As the location is just by the road junction, the load vehicle noise can be annoying with the doors open. But when the doors are close, you can’t hear much noise (this is for the family room, I’m not sure about other rooms). We read remarks about the noise outside and was prepared but to our surprise, it was not that bad actually (with the doors close, hardly hear anything). Our room had a balcony too. We had tea at the balcony. Staffs were very helpful and friendly

The Bathroom did not have a shower hose which was not very convenient. If you didn’t bring a shower cap (especially for ladies), you’ll wet your hair every shower.

I used to travel many countries as a backpacker, stayed many reasonable accommodation before, but this is the best. Hotel staff, especially a guy at the front desk was SOOOOO kind and seems to enjoy his job, it was really nice to see. The front desk doesn’t open 24 hours, but do not have to worry, it works. They keep our luggage after check out, then we went back to pick it up, a guy at the front desk told us to use toilet before we left. Can you believe it? I am so impressed by their hospitality! If I ever have a chance to visit this city again, I definitely will stay here. Thank you so much!

Nothing It’s true!

We loved Chris on reception, who gave us so much information on where to visit, how to get there, where to eat (Venetian steak is a must for meat eaters), this helped us very much. The hotel is within a very old, beautiful building and has the most quaint lift. The rooms are very comfortable, great air conditioning, exceptionally clean and apart from no kettle and no cups or glasses ( take a water bottle or you will dehydrate), this is a lovely place to stay. A 15 minute walk from all the historic attraction and about 25 mins to ponte veccio. The decor is old and patched up in places but this didn’t detract from the 2 night stay we enjoyed immensely.

Decor needs upgrading. Needs a kettle, cups and drinking glasses.

The location is excellent—very close to the train stations in Florence and set in a peaceful neighborhood. The room had everything we needed, including air conditioning, which was absolutely essential given the heat wave during our stay. The host was very friendly and attentive, and we had direct and cordial communication throughout. The bed was also very comfortable.

The bathroom in our room felt a bit uncomfortable, mainly because the shower area was only separated by a curtain, which didn’t prevent water from spilling into the rest of the bathroom. We understand it might be due to the building being older, but perhaps installing a shower door instead of curtains could help contain the water better and improve the overall experience.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Fedora. The manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure everything was smooth and comfortable. The hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained — everything was truly up to the mark. One of the biggest plus points is the location. It’s conveniently situated near both tram and bus stops, which made getting to the train station and around the city very easy. There’s even a direct bus from right outside the hotel to Piazzale Michelangelo, which was super convenient for sightseeing. Most major attractions in Florence are just a 15-20 minute walk away, making it ideal for exploring on foot. The surrounding area also has some great eateries, offering both local and international options. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Florence! The manager was extremely helpful in guiding us on where to go and what to expect

The staff was great! They let us leave our luggage prior to entering the room as our arrival was earlier than check in, and also after the check out so it let us continue exploring the city. The location was just a 15 min walk away from the Santa Maria Novella station, but the guy from staff also recommended we could use two stops of the tram as we had luggage to carry and the stop is just in front of the hotel. We also got a recommendation for a really good restaurant with enjoyable food and at a very decent price. The room was spacious too

You can hear the noise from the street. It didn't bother us but it's something to consider if you struggle with it

We booked different rooms due to availability and really loved our double room with balcony .Really quaint hotel at a central location. Chris was amazing and facilitated all our requests with a smile. Loved our stay here. Convenient access to T2 Tram station from the Metro station to the Hotel .

Second room we booked ,the tiled floor was heavily cracked.Needed curtains as sunlight beamed right through from the early hours.It was good for us as we had to wake up early but otherwise it should be there.

Location is spot on, just a few minutes walk from SMN Station. The man on reception was extremely helpful, giving us recommendations for walks around the city. Florence never disappoints. The room was large with a balcony, which the children made themselves at home on.

Nothing within the control of the hotel, but it's situated right by a road junction, so every few seconds it's like the start of the Italian Grand Prix. Use earplugs, because it's really noisy. I SAID IT'S REALLY NOISY!

Very comfortable beds, large room for three people and nice view. Wifi was good and staff very helpful. There were a few stairs but the lovely chap at reception carried our bags. Very safe and secure. Great location across the road from tram to the centre of Florence and bus stop about 7 mins away. Private bathroom good too. Great value for money. It was a very hot time of year but they had 2 x fans.

Bathroom was long and narrow. Bit strange re the shower. The fold around door does not leave alot of space in the room. Shower nozzle very high up for a short person and water pressure not great but ok. Even in saying this we would definitely stay again. These are only minor concerns. Would have been good to have a fridge.

My stay at the hotel was generally pleasant. The receptionist was excellent—very attentive and quick to respond to every message, which made the experience smooth and hassle-free. The area was incredibly quiet, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Everything was fine overall, and I appreciated the friendly service and calm atmosphere.

That said, there were a few areas for improvement. The room felt a bit dated, and the shower was leaking, which was slightly inconvenient. With some small updates, this could be an even better experience.
