A Wonderful kind host! A Unique b&b, beautiful decor and this place is so authentic . It was clean, fantastic size room and the layout was perfect. Spacious balcony area with beautiful views, everything we needed for a short stay. Coffee, tea, kettle, separate coffee machine, wine glasses, even an umbrella to borrow (should you need it) There are shower and hand wash products available and they smell delightful. The towels, good quality! The location perfect for sightseeing and lots of places to eat and drink locally. The area is pleasant and we felt safe going to and from Artemente. A lovely stay and we will definitely return.

We liked everything!

I had the rooftop suite which had amazing 300-degree views (3 of the 4 windows were straight-glass) of the city and Duomo. It was such a treat to have this amazing terrace to enjoy the view and have friends over for a glass of wine. The B&B was centrally located and close to the city market, all the main historical attractions and restaurants and shops. The hostess Anna Maria was attentive and helpful with recommendations of where to go and always very attentive. Even though the stairs up to the suite were harrowing at times, I would certainly return here every time I come back to Venice.

I am a little concerned that I started getting bites that started when I stayed there, that looked like bed bug bites rather than mosquito bites. But understandable that it's an issue, given the boon of travelers flooding through Europe post-Covid. But other than that, an amazing stay and place.

The B&B is located in a beautiful old building within comfortable walking distance from the Santa Maria Novella train station. The location is ideal - close enough to be in walking distance to most tourist attractions but not too close so that it gets loud at night. A period elevator with an elegant wrought iron gate takes you to the third floor, where the B&B is. In typical Italian palazzo style, it has very high ceilings and the floors are tiled, which makes it easy to maintain a cool and pleasant temperature even when it's hot outside. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy, made even more so by the long shelves carrying art pieces which stretch along the main hallway, and the art supplies hanging from the walls. The room is furnished in a practical manner, with a spacious fridge (larger than your average hotel minibar), TV and water kettle with tea/coffee. The bathroom is equipped with a large shower and a bidet. The nights are quiet, no cars or loud partygoers making noise outside. The bed was comfortable, and there were more than enough good pillows. The manager, Anna Maria, is absolutely lovely and very attentive: she provided me with a map with all her tips and hidden gems which greatly improved my visit to Florence, and was always ready to help, whether with a restaurant reservation or with calling a taxi. She knows how to make a guest feel special. I had a wonderful stay and would stay there again anytime!

The room is in a beautiful, historic building and was perfect for a family of 3. Spacious, with tall ceilings and with all the facilities one would need. The room and bathroom were tastefully furnished. Location was pretty amazing with a lot of great restaurants and cafes. The host Anna Maria is an extremely warm and helpful person. She gave us a map with amazing recommendations for historical sites and top restaurants. And she was very accommodating in allowing us to checkout late so we could visit more sites on our last day in Florence. We would love to go back and stay at this property.

We were warmly welcomed by Anna Maria who was a helpful, attentive and caring host. We loved the convenient location, so close to the station, main sights & some excellent restaurants, but quiet. We also liked the artistic and quirky decor. This is a home of character!

Nothing really - the lift was a little ancient (!) - but it is an old building & it added to the authenticity of the experience of spending time in a typical Florentine building. We settled in well and were made to feel very much at home.

Anna-Maria (among other languages also German-speaking) is a great host. Without her especially restaurant recommendations and reservations, we would have been completely lost - she was always available when we needed her. The accommodation itself is in an artsy and beautiful old building apartment. Our room had a nice terrace with a wonderful view over Florence and especially the Duomo di Firenze. Although we had to walk up some stairs to our room, the host made sure that we did not need to carry our bags ourselves. Tasty breakfast and coffee was even offered to bed. Thank you for your hospitality!

The host was very nice and extremely helpful with parking and sightseeing instructions. She served a very nice breakfast - brought right to the room. The bathroom was newly renovated and very modern. The room itself was very cramped as we were 3 occupants - we should have booked a larger area.

If you are expecting the room posted on the website - you (as were we) will be very disappointed. There apparently is only 1 room that looks like that and has that view. Suggest before you book you ask for photos of the room you will be assigned. Website notes private entrance - this is not entirely correct. There are apparently some units that are individual apartments, but we had to enter into the host apartment to access our room. I suggest you read the details of all the other rooms to understand what you will get. Host stated that booking.com does not allow her to post all apartment photos, but I beg to differ as there are multiple photos from other properties that we stayed at.

Anna Maria was beyond helpful, such a wonderful host, she provided so much information and helped us so much throughout our stay. The room itself was stunning and the view from the balcony was surreal. Full fridge and wardrobe with plenty of hangers included in the room, cute little private bathroom next door (also amazing views!). The building was beautiful with an old elevator to get you up to the B&B. Very convenient location, everything is easily walkable. We fell in love with Florence and will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate returning to Artemente.

Not a con just a warning, we stayed in the room at the top and would definitely recommend it but be aware of the stairs! They are narrow and it was a little tricky getting our small cabin sized suitcases up them so wouldn't want to have a larger case to carry up! Once you get up the stairs it's worth it!

Everything: The beautiful host Annamarie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Location!!!!!! Comfort & convenience & amenities!!!!! The water! Very special water—actually the best! I love the decor —all art, restoration, this place is a museum!!!! The host wants to enhance your traveling experience. Soooooooooooooo helpful & generous. She’s a dream. I shall return!

The heat in Florence. So warm. I’m sorry I stayed ONLY four nights:/
