Florence itself was a wonderful city, full of history and art at every corner. The hotel was well located in a safe and quiet area, with walking access to many historic landmarks. Easy access to the central station Santa Maria Novella, making day trips very convenient — we were able to visit Pisa thanks to the excellent train connections. The building had a lift and the room was spacious. The hotel staff were very kind and attentive.

The room did not have a coffee maker or kettle, which would have added comfort. The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to rest properly. The city tax had to be paid in cash upon arrival, which could be inconvenient if not planned for in advance.

The Nuns were delightful, the garden was lovely to sit in, and we thought that it was in a good location. The breakfast was perfectly good, not a great selection, croissant, cake, yoghourt, fruit juice and other things. We both attended a service in the chapel and the singing was lovely. We came by train and the Trams came to the Conference Centre, at the bottom of the road so easy with the luggage, although we could have walked it.

Our bathroom was extremely small and there were no chest of drawers in the room, only a hanging cupboard with a shelf.

Lovely Sisters at reception and on phone; all very helpful and kind in giving information on arrival and help with early/late baggage storage; the lift was a huge help for large luggage; the access to kettle and fridge on the guest floor was a great asset; lovely garden and peaceful chapel both available to guests.

The heating system, which was a modern aircon unit in the room, was a bit confusing to operate - or maybe it was on a timer? It was not on at night, but was very strong in the morning. That could be a) an issue particular to the room I had, or b) the timer system which was already set, or c) my misunderstanding of the remote control operation? But- I was still comfortable with the extra blanket provided, so it wasn't a huge problem, just a slightly curious inconvenience. I did not bother to ask the reception for advice, which I'm sure they would have provided. But, the problem was resolved by the morning, when the heat was functioning! :-)

This is an efficiently run establishment. My room and the shared kitchen were spotless. My room was bigger than expected and had a very high ceiling. It had lovely french doors which opened onto a balcony overlooking the garden. The ensuite was long and narrow, very clean, and had a window. There was a heater in the room and it worked well. The location is great - the airport tram stop is nearby, as is the train station, and the major attractions. The nuns at reception were polite and efficient though rather disinterested. They were great about allowing people to leave luggage for a couple of hours. The whole place was very quiet.

I was a little disappointed in the garden. I think it needs work. It probably looks better in the summer. My bed could have done with some padding - I could feel the springs. Nonetheless, I slept pretty well.

Breakfast was excellent. Location practically city centre, walking distance with options close by for coffee or shops and mini markets. Garden very nice to walk through though obviously in March not as nice as Summer time but smoking tolerated n the garden. Chapel also a nice quiet place to sit..Rooms were spacious and very clean, extra covers and air conditioning..kitchen facilities great 😃

Hospitality in terms of chat and friendliness a little lacking but English spoken there. Same nearly everywhere in Florence!

Everything was just amazing and absolutely above and beyond expectations, staff were lovely, the whole place was clean and cozy, the facilities were fantastic including an incredibly good fridge. The environment and location was excellent including a gorgeous garden and great access to a major train station. It is not an extravagant or posh place, but this is as good as it gets when trying to find a humble, comfortable, and homely place to relax and recuperate after a day out in Northern Italy.

The room was super clean and stuff was so kind. The location is convenient. So silent street near main train station and around 15 mins by walk to duomo.

the problem is that you must be in the room maximum at midnight. otherwise you cannot get in the hotel. They don't provide you a key for the front door. it is like a dormitory:( Reception lady gave me their number and offered me to call them when I come back to the hotel after midnight to make them open the door. But I didn't want them to disturb and Saturday night I went to back to hotel at midnight:/ If you accept this then I absolutely suggest you to stay here

I was really impressed by this place! The nuns were so friendly and really went out of their way to help me and solve the few queries I had. I've seen previous comments talk about a curfew but if they still do that, no-one mentioned it to me! I was really impressed by the room, which though not remotely stylish had good amenities including cable TV, an ensuite and great air-con - comparable to other more expensive places I stayed in Italy. I also didn't experience much noise. I missed breakfast so can't comment on how good it was, but was able to grab a coffee - and sipping coffee in the garden beneath the wisteria-draped arches was an absolutely magical way to start my day. The garden is lovely and was a highlight for me. (NB i went in June). The location is good - about 7 mins from the station and 15 from the historic centre (and there's a nice park a few minutes away too). There's also a tiny lift which i appreciated when lugging my suitcase in/out. I could also store my luggage there after checkout which was helpful.

It's not a boutique hotel - expect rooms that are more functional than beautiful! Also yeah, it's a working nunnery so there is Christian paraphernalia around. When I pulled the curtains across the curtain rail fell off, but if it hadn't been midnight I'm sure the nuns could've fixed it. Also there were shutters to light blocking was so good.

I loved the air conditioner in my room which worked very well, the staff were lovely and cleaned my room once a day, there was an extra pillow and blanket in the cupboard. Getting into and out of the property was easy. Importantly, I felt safe staying there as a solo traveller.

The water pressure was low in the shower but warm water always available.

An extremely quiet and peaceful place, just what I needed after months of mental turmoil Its in a great spot too, not too far from the train station and a stone's throw from many landmarks and good restaurants

I couldn't find it at first😂 Its in a building that reminds me of a governent building but that's on me.
