Lovely rustic feel hotel in a great location. Breakfast was great and the staff were all really friendly. Room has all the amenities you need including a safe. Perfect location for train station/nearby tram stop and also walking to go site seeing, would really recommend staying here!

I think due to the age of the building we found the walls weren’t very soundproof so I’d suggest bringing ear plugs in case the people staying next to you are louder. Also just to be aware that you will need to walk up a flight of stairs to get the hotel.

Perfect location. hotel located close to the center 5 minutes walk. very good European breakfasts large selection very nice service the room equipment includes cosmetics, towels are changed every day there were room slippers the downside is

1. unfortunately we got a room on the street side every day a septic tanker came around 6:00 am to pump out waste. the noise was so loud that it woke us up every day although I asked for a quiet room 2. the hair dryer which turned off after about 30 seconds of unplugging and you had to wait a few minutes for it to turn on again

This was a beautiful stay! The staff makes you feel very welcome and valued. It felt much like being a guest in someone's family home. The furnishings are cozy, everything is spotless and perfectly maintained. The breakfast was one of the best on this trip with sweet and savory cold options as well as hot fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans, and mushrooms. They have obviously taken care to accommodate a variety of tastes and dietary concerns. The dining room is beautifully furnished, warm and cozy with light music playing in the background. The bed was comfortable, the sleeping room of adequate size, and quiet for a good night's rest. The location is ideal and all felt very safe for a solo woman traveler.

The bathroom is very narrow. I am shorter than average and of average weight, but still I was cramped for space. It is not enough to prevent my staying again but might be an issue for someone larger. It looked as though each room is a bit different so perhaps mine was smaller than most and it might be possible to request a larger bathroom. There is a stairway of 20 steps to reach the hotel on the first floor and there is no elevator. This wasn't an issue for me but is something to consider if you have mobility issues. Everything else was perfect and I highly recommend Mario's for a Florence visit.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the S.M.N. train station and Mercato Centrale, also close to the main historical monuments. The breakfast was very nice and there is cool water abailable all day, which we greatly appreciated. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overaly a great option if you are looking for something less pricey but good value for your money.

The furnishings were simple still but more than satisfactory. We thought we were out of the very center but there was still some noise outside in the night - but not much.

very good location, perfectly clean, quiet, the perfect hotel to explore Florence. everything you need or want to see is just around the corner and the train station a 3 minute walk. the room is spacious enough and you can't hear any noise at night. I can't think of a better hotel in florenve. It was also very safe. The hotel and the building are very interesting giving you the flair of the city.

The hotel is thought through, central located and kind of felt like warmth thanks to hosts. Breakfast is good, not fancy, but enough. The room was quite and walls are thick. AC functions well and not noisy. Spacious shower cabin. The room was very clean and had everything we need (hangers, safe, shelves, etc.) I'm glad we stayed there

It is not a minus, but thing to plan, there is no lift, and guests need to carry their luggage one floor.

My friend and I had an excellent stay! The property is well maintained, nicely decorated and it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There’s free water for guests (you can fill it up and bring it to your room). The Staff is very welcoming and Leonard is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic: fresh bread, good scramble eggs (not oily), bacon, Philadelphia, fresh croissant (cream, chocolate and jam).. so much more!!

Location close to train station and major sights; generous breakfast offerings, pleasant staff, comfortable bed, quieter than expected. Amenities include in-room safe, refrigerator, water boiler for instant coffee and tea, and a mulit-language guide with hotel policies and tourist information. Updated bathroom; amenities included shampoo/body wash, shower caps, soft towels.

The staff were very helpful, I imagine if there was anything lacking they would have done their best to resolve it.

The location was good, 5 minute walk from the train station, 10 minutes to the Duomo through pleasant streets and the leather market. About 100m away (on the same street) are many traditional restaurants with good quality food and reasonably priced. Hotel itself was cosy, most of the staff were very friendly, breakfast plentiful and good quality. Our room had a separate private bathroom which was fine for us and very clean. Street could be a little noisy but windows were more than able to keep the sound out, just meant lacking in fresh air at "peak noise" times but aircon worked well.

No real issues at all. Hotel was as described and as expected.

The hotel is located well, all attractions can be reached on foot. near the station, but on a fairly quiet street. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby, a supermarket, and the central market. Breakfast is good, varied, coffee machine, coffee quality is good, there are omelets, sausages, yoghurts, croissants and more. Unfortunately the soundproofing of the rooms is not ideal, you can hear absolutely everything the neighbors say.
