First time in Florence, great property if you want to be close to the train station. It was only a short 6 minute walk. The staff are so lovely, gave us a quick rundown of how to get around/tips on where to go in Florence. Although no lift on the property which didn’t bother us as the hotel staff came down and carried our luggage up for us. Super accommodating and lovely, and the rooms were spotless! There were some great bars and restaurant on the same strip as the Hotel which was very convenient!

As it was closer to the train station you’re a 15-20 minute walk from the centre where all the shops and main restaurants are, which meant it was a bit further if you wanted to drop your bags off after shopping or to come back for a quick pit stop it’s not as convenient to go back to the hotel. The whole of Florence is pretty walkable though, so it comes down to your needs and what your prefer!

Loved everything about the property, it was my best stay of our Italy trip! 1.Great service (from Roberto who kindly helped with our heavy luggage on Day 1 to Ale who has been the most consistent in replies - even after working hours and sweet enough to make my boyfriend’s birthday a little more special when she found out!) 2. Super modern and new facilities (after staying at a few old hotels in Milan, Venice - this was a refreshing change and pleasantly impressed) 3. Great housekeeping and cleanliness! We were also so surprised by the attentive housekeeping standards when we came back one day to a more-than-made room (housekeeper went the extra mile to do things like reorganise our shoes, help us hang our bags on the hanger, put our luggages on the cupboard… just wow) 4. Location was good. 5 min walk from train station (great for minimising the need to lug your luggage around) and 10-15 min walk from city centre. The alley where our hotel was located also felt very safe and homely….. 5. Coffee, drinking water, biscuits, tea etc were also offered FOC. Greatly appreciated !! 6. Good value for money I will definitely book Hotel Nella again if I’m back in Florence.

Apart from the fact that there’s no lift at the property (overcomed by friendly hotel staff who helped us carry our luggage’s up and down if they are around) and slightly smaller room (overcomed by the modern facilities and clean environment), everything is perfect

We only stayed here for one night, but wished we would have been longer! The location is really central, close to the train station, but still in a rather quiet and cozy street. The market hall, Medici Chapel, Piazza del Duomo and Ponte Vecchio are just a short walking distance away! Our room was on the smaller side, but still very nice. The bed was comfortable, the air condition was quiet and effective, the bathroom held a high standard with good water pressure from the shower and everything felt nice and clean. There was a coffe/tea/snack station in the hallway – a nice touch that we appreciated! The hosts are really friendly, easy to communicate with and helpful both before and during our stay. They helped us with our luggage, and let us store it after checking out which allowed us to see more of the city during our short visit. Would definitely stay here again if we were to revisit Florence!

Our host, Alejandra was great! Very communicative and quick to respond. Even provided some restaurant recommendations prior to our visit. Location was fantastic! 5 min walk to/from the station, walking distance to all of Florence, maybe only being a 5 min walk, and only a 2 min walk to the Mercato Centrale that had many food and drink options. Many restaurants just outside the hotel with one offering proper breakfast (not just pastries). If going on a tour requiring you to get on a bus, the tour meeting location was also just about a 6 min walk. Building was secure - hotel was on the 2nd floor with no elevator but stairs weren't tight quarters like some in Italy. Bed was comfortable and pillows were even more to rave about. Tempur-pedic like and great for the neck!

Walls are extreeeeemely thin - so thin I could hear the neighbors zip up their suitcases as if there was no wall separating us and the front door was quite loud when it would be shut. It was a fortress of a front door so that helped make the hotel feel secure but was very loud. Nothing a little white noise couldn't fix for my friend but I had to wear my ear buds with white nose to drown out the noise as I am unfortunately a light sleeper even when extremely exhausted. If you're a deep sleeper then this shouldn't be a problem. Small shower, and by small I mean extremely small and I am small in stature. Hit my elbows on the shower walls a few times.

Central location, yet quiet. The room and common areas were always cool and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable, and although the pillows did not suit me, Ale (the very helpful manager) brought me some other ones which suited me much better. Although breakfast is not included, she made sure to leave me a couple of pots of yoghurt and muesli, which was lovely. There was also milk, coffee, biscuits and some fresh fruit (delicious) from Ale's own garden. Her recommendations of what to see, and the yummy gelateria were spot on! I stayed in the room with a separate shower room down the corridor, and although this is a minor inconvenience, it didn't bother me at all. Overall a great little place which I'd recommend to others.

Hard pillows (which, as mentioned, were changed after the first night). Small room, though not to the point where it's uncomfortable (though I was travelling alone).

From the moment we arrived, Alejandra welcomed us with great kindness, offering helpful tips and a map of the city. The hotel was spotlessly clean, located right in the center of Florence, yet on a quiet street, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea available for guests — a very nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had a great shower with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. One of the highlights was a nearby café that served the most delicious cornetti — the perfect way to start the day with a true local breakfast! Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay in Florence, and we would return without hesitation.

The host, Alejandra, was excellent. She was very punctual when communicating through the app. She went over the must-see sites of Florence and provided excellent recommendations for dining. The room was modern and clean and the location was perfect - a very easy 8 minute flat walk to the train station and minutes to the Duomo. An excellent value - for the price point it can't be beat. I would book Hotel Nella again without hesitation!

No elevator to the second floor but the host was able to assist with the luggage.

The staff was wonderful and very quick to respond to us! The location was great, outside of the main tourist area but still very close walking distance to main attractions. The immediate area has a lot of great restaurants and cool spots to visit, as well. The hotel was clean and private and we felt super safe staying here! Bonus that it’s super close to the train station which made travel super easy!

This is not a negative about the hotel, but i guess there is a time of year when the central A/C stops running. We had the A/C turned on because we weren’t aware and it was pumping hot air into the room until we asked about it and were told it isn’t possible to turn it on at this time of year (October). it just made the stay a bit less pleasant as we had to keep the window open to cool down the room and there were loud noises outside through the night. Truly not a negative about the hotel, but If you run hot like we do, I’d double check with the hotel before booking :) otherwise everything is lovely!

Staying at this place was truly a highlight of our trip! The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Florence – everything is within walking distance. It was spotless clean and very comfortable. But what made our stay really special was Ale, the host. She was absolutely wonderful ,warm, helpful, and incredibly informative. She gave us so many great tips and local recommendations that we felt like we had our own personal tour guide. Thank you, Ale, for making our time in Florence even more memorable !

The landlady is very kind and gentle, and everything was perfect. During check-in and checkout, Ale and her staff not only helped us carry our luggage to the hotel, but also explained all the nearby attractions when handing over the keys, including restaurants, gelato shops, markets, and local spots, all of which were well worth visiting. Moreover, the hotel has a common area for guests to enjoy tea, snacks, and chat. Even if you send a WhatsApp message to the landlady late at night, she will reply immediately. Everything exceeded our expectations. It’s my favorite accommodation in Italy.
