Location was great, easily walkable to everything - and the rooms were quiet

One of the reasons we didn’t Airbnb was because we wanted to have a lounge area with drinks after we put the kids to bed but the bar shut down (like kicked us out as drinks aren’t allowed in the rooms - even private ones) at 10:30pm . It felt rushed and unnecessary. We would have gone elsewhere but didn’t want to leave our kids and the website hours posted were till midnight. Also the pool didn’t open till 4 pm.

Plus Florence is listed as a hostel, but it exceeded BY FAR my concept of what a hostel is. It had 2 indoor common areas plus 1 outdoor; A bar; Indoor and outdoor pools; Coin-operated laundry facilities; A gym; A 2-tier terrace, and onsite breakfast options. Some floors also had vending machines with beverages and snacks. The facilities were safe. Parking is also offered at an extra fee, but limited in space, so book ahead. None of these I know about ahead of booking. =P We managed to book a private room for 2 (2 single beds, but we were able to just join them together) with a private bathroom. The room is small but very adequate for a short stay such as ours (2 nights). The shower was very nice, with adequate hot water and good pressure.

Nothing! Would be great if it was a bit cheaper.

I booked a bed in a 6 person female room for my college age daughter who was attending dance classes in the Oltrarno neighborhood during the summer in Florence, and I wanted a place for her to be closer to the city's main attractions. This was her first hostel experience and she was anxious at first but ended up thanking me for arranging her stay here. The facilities are older but very nice, she liked the coffee and food at the restaurant and found other good places to eat nearby. She could walk easily to all the places she wanted to go as well as have access to the city bus and the tram. She also met several other people and is now acquainted with new friends from all over the world!

Be aware that between 2 and 4 p.m. during the summer, you may have to take a number to check in, so be prepared to wait for a bit. Doing laundry can be as much as 10 Euros for a load of wash and dry.

5 euros for croissant/coffee/juice OR 10 for the buffet breakfast. Wonderful facilities including terrace.. pool... common rooms. Beds were comfy considering it was a back-packers. Oh and it was super clean too. Including the bathroom. Very economical too! Oh and the events you guys ran were really cool. Well done.

I know it is a large hostel and staff have a lot of people to check-in. It just would have been nice if the hostel/city was explained a bit more when you checked in. I felt that I had to try and figure this all out myself. Even if you guys wrote an info page that you gave to people at check-in to read through (if not enough time to explain).

It's cleanliness, behavior of staff very helpful once I gave mistaken 20 euro to laundry machine and it not permitted but one of the staff came with me explaining how to use and also gave back my money . Completely worth of money . Definitely stay again next time.

Only one thing that common kitchen area closed around 10:30 if I want to use it later it's not permitted. I've stayed lots of hostels in different countries but most of them allow 24 hours access. So according to me I just disliked me. Overall it was a great experience.

I stayed in the 4-bed mixed-dorm. Comfortable and clean, it was super good that there is a bathroom inside the room, so you are only sharing it with the people in your room. Also, the toilet is separated from the shower, which makes it easier since we are sharing the room; someone can go to use the toilet and someone else can take a shower. I loved that the bunk beds each have a place to put some stuff next to where you lie your head, and a plug, both super helpful. The place also has 2 pools, but I didn't use them, so I can't evaluate.

The beds make a little noise, but nothing major, and it's not super clear how to lock the drawer under the bed. Also, it doesn't seem as social as other hostels like Yellow or something, but I didn't do much mingling in the common areas of the building either; it may only be an impression.

We had an excellent stay at Plus Hotel! Our room was comfy and the bathroom clean. The rooms were also cleaned every day. The staff was friendly, checking in and out was very easy. The breakfast buffet was good, you had an assortiment of foods to choose from like croissants, eggs, bread, cakes as well as fresh fruit. The indoor pool and sauna were a very nice perk to have. As was the rooftop terrace where you could relax and see the whole of Florence. Location is good if you come by train from the station Santa Maria Novella, only a 10minute walk. City centre was only a 15 minutes walk and you were at the Duomo...

We had a room on the side of the road so traffic could be heard but this was really only a minor inconvenience.

The pool area was very nice! Hostel was quite modern and felt safe to be in as a solo female. The check-in waiting number worked nice and luckily there was never really big queues when I needed help on the desk. Baggage storage service worked nicely too. Location was very nice to walk to see sights but also in quiet neighborhood

I was in two different rooms over my stay in Florence, the quality of room were different. One room had sturdy good bunk beds and a plug for each bed and other room had squeaky beds and basically one plug in the bedroom and one in bathroom. Some staff was nonchalant and seemed a bit annoyed with customers.

You need to pay extra for breakfast but it was so good

It was overcrowded and a bit noisy. The security girl was so rude

Staff were warm and welcoming and always eager to help.. Breakfast had a great choice and every item was always available regardless of the time you were getting breakfast. Dinner was lovely. Although work was ongoing it was minimal disruption and maximum consideration to guests. The entertainment was fantastic the two gents on Sunday night were amazing.

Having the wash hand basic in a separate wash room from the toilet room. It is not very sanitary as door handles are used before hands are washed. Also having the toilet wall is so close to the headrest of the bed was uncomfortable as every sound could be heard with ease.
