The breakfast staff were very helpful and polite and friendly. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The room was lovely and spacious. The pool area was not too busy.

The bathroom was very small for the size of the room. On the last day we requested a late check out but the guy on reception was going to charge us 15 euros each to sit by the pool! In the end he agreed that as it was only for an hour or so we didn’t have to pay. Given that there was always plenty of sun beds I think it would have been really unacceptable to make us pay if we had wanted to stay by the pool longer, had we had an evening flight.

A real treasure in the heart of Florence! It’s exactly what it’s called. Villa Royal! Loved everything here! The garden with the pool was stunning. The room was big and good equipped and the A/C and gorgeous pool was helpful in the Florenz summer days. 15 minutes walk to the Duomo. Many great restaurants on the way. A grocery store ( Carrefur ) is next door. Looking for a city hotel with parking, that’s it. It’s just so beautiful like being under the Tuscan sun but in the middle of the city! Grazie tanto I will be back!

Can be noisy if you have a loud neighbour. We heard the tv and even plugigin in the charger. But it was luckily only that;)

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Royal. The hotel itself is full of charm, with a beautiful classic style that fits perfectly with the atmosphere of Florence. Our room was extremely clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, a relaxing place to come back to after a day of exploring the city. The team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights was the pool area, peaceful and well-kept, a great spot to unwind. The entire property feels elegant yet inviting. Breakfast was very good too. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable stay in Florence.

Nothing to say about it.

It was in a good location, inside the city center area but outside of all the craziness. Parking was inside the Hotel. Comfortable bed and pillows.

You can hear the noisy of everything going around the room; from the cars, garbage pick up and people walking outside to the noisy from the rooms next to you. The customer service at the reception area were little friendly, seemed bored. But the guys from the breakfast were very friendly and willing to help you. You have to pay 30 euros for daily parking, a little pricey especially because it’s inside the facilities. And I read you need to pay to use the pool during summer!!!! how it can be a 4 stars hotel if you need to pay extra for each of their services? I think will be better to raise the price and offer all the services to the guests inclusive.

-Walking distance from the city center -Quiet at night despite the room being near the elevator and staircase -Pretty inner yard and house -Good breakfast and nice breakfast staff -Clean bathroom and daily cleaning of the room -Comfortable bed although narrow -WiFi worked well I liked the hotel well enough. Bed was comfortable and room quiet, the breakfast was good, the inner yard was beautiful, and during summer (currently closed) they have a pool. It's a pleasant stay although I would advise booking a large room than the rather small single room that I stayed in.

-I couldn't get the AC to work so the room got pretty hot -Mosquito net was broken on the sides, meaning that mosquitoes got into the room -The minibar consisted of two bottles of water one of which had leaked and I think the fridge was broken -The room was pretty narrow and small, pictures look nicer. -Couldn't open the safe, seemed it was locked with a key. Maybe you need to ask staff prior to use?

We had a wonderful room, very comfortable bed and with our own very large private roof terrace. Use of the swimming pool was included free of charge, which was a bonus. The breakfast buffet was extensive and gluten free options were available upon request. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent quiet location but within easy walking distance of all attractions. The hotel looks quite grand but wasn't at all stuffy. I would definitely stay here again.

Mini bar only had water and the complimentary tea and coffee selection in the room was poor, with just a couple of sachets of nescafe and 2 teabags.

In a very full and lively city, the Villa Royal - although situated 10 minutes by foot from the Dome - is an island of tranquility, elegance and comfort. A perfect retreat after a busy day, the rooms have high ceilings, the beds are very comfortable, the bathroom has a good size and all appliances work perfectly. The internet works perfectly well, if one needs to work a little, after a day of leisure. :) Morning coffee in the garden makes the perfect start in the day, a tasty cocktail at night, at the bar, gives a great closure! The hotel team is super friendly and very professional, the room was super clean at all times, so all in all, a perfect place in a great city.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and looked great. We also enjoyed breakfast; there was wide variety of choice and it was tasty. Additionally we were happy with the staff in a breakfast area

Although in general the room was beautiful, it was pretty dark as it had just one window. You had to have lights switched on basically all the time and unfortunately it was still pretty dark. What's more the bathroom wasn't super comfortable - the toilet was pretty tall and the lighting above the mirror glared.

Lovely hotel very close to centre. Easily walkable to Ponte Vecchio via the centre of town. Good breakfast and lovely room. Reception staff were very helpful, with great advice about attractions and restaurants.

Sadly the pool wasn't open. When I asked, Booking.com told me it would be open during our stay. So I booked. But then the hotel said it was only open from 1st June. ( they were very clear). But it wouldn't t stop me from returning as it wasn't the hotel's fault. Luckily it didn't ruin our stay. We will return

I loved the fact that I was central to everywhere but it felt like I wasn’t. The hotel had a secluded garden that seemed to shut out city noise and all I could hear was birdsong, especially in the mornings. The overall look of the hotel was historical grandeur; on my first view as arrived from my journey was ‘oh how gorgeous, haven’t I made a good choice’. It didn’t stop there, I loved the tranquility of the hotel and the calm and relaxed atmosphere. It suited me perfectly. My room was small but absolutely fine, a fridge, cosy and comfortable single bed and a well appointed en-suite. My room looked over part of the garden and beyond to the city. I loved it and felt very at home. I even had a breakfast box for my return journey.

There was nothing I found to complain about but having read reviews I could see where some of the disappointments came from: some rooms were very close to the lift, so I could imagine they may be noisier than mine. Apart from that (I cannot comment on the pool as I didn’t use it) I have no negatives.
